Here's what's coming up on around the house Saturday.

Host:

What happens when you have a house that is flooded and what are you going to do to take care of it?

Host:

Now in our midweek special this last week, we talked about something really important that, that was making sure that you're prepared for these kind of things.

Host:

And we're starting to see that with Asheville, North Carolina, with them not having water for five, six, seven days, you're seeing all of these situations where places are cut off.

Host:

And I it's a great reminder for all of you that listen on the radio that didn't catch on the podcast to really make sure that you're prepared for that next natural disaster.

Host:

Whether in your hurricane or it's a tornado or it's an earthquake, it takes days.

Host:

Depending on who you've got and how prepared your state is, it could take a week or two for people to get out there.

Host:

Some states are better than others.

Host:

Some people are more prepared.

Host:

Sometimes storms are so big that they can't handle it all.

Host:

And so give them a week or two to come help you.

Host:

So just make sure that you're prepared enough.

Host:

In today's episode, we are talking with my friend Barbara from Infinity Drain.

Host:

We are diving into drains inside the shower, out by the pool, or even in your driveway for sure.

Barbara:

Our product line really started out with what we would call like a sight, sizable linear drain.

Barbara:

Over the years, waterproofing techniques have been evolving and improving.

Barbara:

Now you're seeing much more prominently methods like the Schluter system, which is a non woven fabric, liquid applied waterproofing within the shower, which is a paint on roll on style of waterproofing.

Barbara:

So we've even had to adapt our drainage systems to the waterproofing technology and improvements that have come over the past decade or so.

Host:

All that and more on Saturday's around the house show with Eric G.
