Jani Roberts:

What? Life isn't supposed to suck. Get out of here. Life is supposed to be good for me? I don't think so. Truth? Did you know that you have the power to create your own reality? True? Did you know that you can live the life that you've always desired? Holy? That's right. And that's why we're here. Are you ready? Unless you're on Joy overload, you've come to the right place, it's time to get out of your own way and start creating more of what you want, and less of what you don't end up with the excuses. I'm your host, Jani Roberts. Let's do this.

Jani Roberts:

Welcome alignment essentials family, how are you today, I hope that I am finding you creating all kinds of magic in your experience. And knowing that you are more resilient than you have ever realized, we are going to talk about resilience. Today, we're going to talk about what it means to get it done to withstand the nonsense, and to bounce back, recover quickly, when we're dealing with really difficult conditions. You know, some people might say today, every day is a bit difficult because of a state of the world. What we see with our human eyes can be tough to take really tough. And we've got to cut ourselves some slack with that. We've got to allow ourselves to remember that we are human beings. And we are in a spiritual experience. But we're also in a human experience. And it can be extraordinarily difficult to look at what is going on around us and not think the world has gone mad. So let's dial it back. Let's take that pause.

Jani Roberts:

And let's allow ourselves to tap into our resilience and to recover from all of that energy that's coming in, that may not feel so good to us may not be serving us in the moment. It's interesting how the world will change. And we adapt, because that's what we do. And we're resilient. But suddenly, there's so many things that we took for granted, or that felt better, that are gone instantly. And suddenly, we're dealing with a very different climate, a different type of environment. And it can throw us into a wow moment. I suddenly realized things weren't so bad. Now that I'm sitting over here, in this pile of shit, it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was prior to this experience. So what does that leave me? What where do I go? What do I do with that? Well, first we pause. And we understand that while things can appear to be a certain way, that doesn't necessarily make it so doesn't necessarily make it true. We have to really dive deep and use our perspective, to look clearly at what's happening and not accept anything less than the truth. When we become resilient, we're empowered to do that. We're empowered to know our truth, and we're a power empowered to adapt to a situation and use our truth to move forward. In other words, even though I know that what I'm experiencing right now is really uncomfortable. I'm also knowing that I could learn a lot from this experience. I really have no idea in this moment. Let's say it just happened. I really don't have any idea in this moment. However, I've experienced enough, I've been on this journey long enough to know that things are not always as they appear to be. So we experienced stress, we experienced setbacks, we experience bumpy emotions, and emotional rides. But we can tap into our strength and we can seek help, we can ask for help. We can turn to our support systems, our practice our tools that are in our AE toolbox, and use all of this to overcome these challenges and work through the problems because as I've said before, we don't really have problems we have situations Since that requires solutions, we don't have to get stuck and live in the problem. We can use our minds, we can use our thoughts, we can use that power. And we can solve. Now, resilience is sometimes said to have five pillars, we always talk about, you know, pillars with emotions and feelings. But with resilience, we mostly refer to five of them. So let's make our way through them. And look at how we can use these pillars to really balance ourselves out in state in alignment, self awareness. This is huge. If we are on the roller coaster ride, and we haven't done any self awareness work, we're not tuned in and tapped into our truth and who we really are. And why we're really here and what we're on purpose about, and how really awesome we are, how magnificent our energy is, if we don't know how to use all of that, then self awareness is lacking. So at any given time, we can tap into that self awareness, mindfulness, paying attention, taking the pauses, self care, taking the time to listen to a podcast, go on, join us on a retreat, whatever works for you, we'll take your dog for a walk, powerful, positive, empowering relationships, feeling on purpose, about why we're here, we strengthened self awareness and mindfulness and self care in our relationships, and our intention, and we are going to become more resilient. We absolutely are, we have to cultivate our belief in our ability to deal with our shit. And the shit that others bring in. We have to cultivate that.

Jani Roberts:

We have to stay connected to our true self, to our source, and to other sources of support. says Why asking for help is so key. And you know, your, your inner being was asking for help. And that's how you bumped into this podcast? Do I have all the answers? Heck, no. But there may be something I certainly hope there is. It's why I'm here, it's part of my purpose is to do this digging and be raw about it. So I can support you on your journey. And you can support me have the discussions talk about what we're going through. This is not a sign of weakness, this is a sign of courage. And, you know, we want to be brave, we got to deal with our shit. And we can then be helpful to others, we can activate a better feeling emotion, and then we can cultivate an attitude of survivorship and even more than surviving really thriving. And we can seek the meaning to what we're experiencing. Because we're no longer afraid of it. We're embracing it. So what techniques do you use? I don't know. You tell me jot them down. Do you have certain people you're connected to that? You can just say whatever you need to say ask for help when you need to ask? Are you flexible? Are you willing to look at things from a different perspective? Are you able to make plans and take action see things through? Or if you get stuck? Hey, if you get stuck, you get stuck. No judgment. We all get stuck. Anybody who says they never get stuck, is bullshitting you. Now, some people may get stuck very briefly. They might not get stuck for long, but everybody gets stuck. So being able to communicate well with others, gives us the power to problem solve, to find solutions to feel better. When we're on our own, and when we're working with others. I don't know about you, but I have a lot of conversations with myself. So if I'm communicating well with myself, it is a powerful conversation. If I am not It is seriously disempowering. So I gotta check in what kind of conversations Am I having with myself. And all of this enables us to manage the feelings that come in that are so strong, so powerful. So perhaps fear based that prior to this practice prior to this work, we would allow Since now we can manage it. Now we can pause, now we can look at it for what it is a situation, it can be a seriously fucked up situation. But it's still a situation. And we can find our way we can find our way through it. I know it's difficult when you're backed into a corner. I know what that feels like, firsthand. But you will find your way out of the corner. And you may need to ask for help to do that. But just knowing that that's what's going on, hey, I'm backed into a corner and I don't see a door that's open. They're all locked. So I'm parked, I'm stuck. I'm freaking out. That's my reality in this moment. Okay. But it won't be forever. Breathe. Breathe, I can remember being in that corner not being able to breathe, literally sliding down the wall. Till I thought my acid the floor, I get it. We have to choose are we going to stay there, we're going to move a little bit of movement coasts a very long way, when you're stuck. And Express, you know really expecting a ton of movement, when you're really stuck is a bit of a challenge. And it's not very realistic. In my experience, we need to take small steps. Just breathe first, just breathe, try to rest, try to stop shaking, whatever it might be. Because you will come through you will, people will be there to help you.

Jani Roberts:

Animals will come to your rescue, they will sit next to you, they will hold space for you. They will lay their head on your lap trying to reassure that you that you are not alone. And you will rebuild. You will you are resilient, you will find the feelings of self confidence. Again, you will in time. But there is much to learn when we are stuck. It's a very important piece. We don't want to miss that part. Because this is where we really grow. This is where we really start figuring it out. Look at resilience as an ability to recover quickly to move more quickly out of that situation, to ease the stress to ease the setbacks. Identifying and acknowledging your resilience is a very big deal. And extraordinarily important that you do it. You must acknowledge how resilient you are even when you're losing it. And we need to have the right tools and we need to have these trainings. We need to we need to master these Mind Body skills. So that we can stay in that good feeling place. We don't just you know I think when we're born as infants, we got it. But then we're just taught, we're untaught everything. We're untaught all the truth. And then we're stuck. We don't trust we don't believe we don't get it. Nothing's working. What's the point. And then we start to find joy here and there. We find what we're passionate about. Things start to fire up. We can feel it in our gut. We can feel the excitement, we can feel a hope. But this is a practice and we got to work our practice. Otherwise, our environments just going to work us over. gotta dig deep. gotta dig deep. So when we're in self awareness, it's not only awareness of your body, and how your body is responding, or how it processes things, your feelings, your desires, your you know, maybe Hey, I noticed about myself I just always want to react quickly. I just tend to react without thinking. Then I say things I don't mean etcetera, etcetera. Pay attention. Be aware of your thoughts. Be aware of your patterns. That's what the alignment essentials living in alignment course does. It teaches you, it creates awareness for you around how you how you behave, what are your patterns, you've got to track them to figure them out. Otherwise, you turn to your labels that were created by the people. And you you're buying into that, which very likely is not any of your truth. So we want to be aware of how this mind body connection plays out in the practice. Because nothing is more important than that we feel good. being self aware, it's like a prerequisite for controlling and choosing what serves you gotta open it up, open up the door of awareness. And allow it in. Allow your ability to choose come in. Self awareness is really the foundation really, truly is the foundation. Your attention, what are you giving your attention to? Again, it's another practice. If you're constantly giving your attention to what doesn't work, then you're gonna get more of what doesn't work. Go figure. We can train it, we can develop it.

Jani Roberts:

It's so important to look at where your focus is being placed. What decisions have you made around that? Or are you on autopilot? Are you worrying about the past? stressing out about the future? Living in regret? Doing the whole What if woulda, coulda shoulda? Again, I have no judgment around it. I've done it all. But what's that doing for you other than just kind of pissing you off, or taking into a place of just total depression. So where are you putting your attention and mindfulness. This is how we train our attention. We're in the present, it's awareness in the moment. It's receptive, it's accepting. It's appreciation. Being kind, this is important. This brings us joy. And of course, we got to learn to let go. You know, one of our tags is just breathe and let go. We got to let go of what's going on physically. Letting Go relaxing the muscles, letting the tension go and the neck, breathing, calming the body. It's why we go for a massage. This is why we love naps. Because our body gets to release and let go. And all the good stuff can come in. And then letting go with the mind. Giving that mind rest I mean talk about madness. All this stuff that's going on up there. Our beliefs or stories need to create space. So we can have a different perspective. So we can step into our truth. Choose what works for us, let go of what does not stop repeating those patterns. release and let go. You are so incredibly resilient. If we were to sit down and swap our stories, our war stories of our lives, I am quite certain that you would blow me away. You have been extraordinarily resilient. And there is great love here for you. Just kind of breathe and let it go. Be the resilient warrior that I know you are. I'm going to jump for now. Take it in, breathe it in. Grab that resilience, bring it into your heart and know your truth. Be well. Nothing but love for you guys. Talk to you soon. Peace.
