Welcome to the Creative Spiritual Journey Meditation for Delight
Speaker:
The prophet Nephi in the Book of Mormon said, "My soul delights
Speaker:
in the things of the Lord, and my heart ponders continually on the
Speaker:
things which I have seen and heard."
Speaker:
That is what we're gonna create space for in this meditation.
Speaker:
Now, this meditation can be done in the mornings to open your eyes and
Speaker:
your ears and our hearts and our hands to receive delight and allow
Speaker:
it to, arise joy within our souls.
Speaker:
And it will also bring an awareness to the beautiful gifts
Speaker:
of delight that are all around us
Speaker:
this meditation can also be done in the evening as a return and report
Speaker:
humbly in prayer before the Lord
Speaker:
With our hearts overflowing with joys and delights that we
Speaker:
had gathered throughout the day
Speaker:
As we relax into a space of quietness, creating space for
Speaker:
pondering, a state of stillness
Speaker:
Begin with just simply breathing in.
Speaker:
Nice deep breath
Speaker:
And exhaling out
Speaker:
As you breathe in, I want you to just ponder on the word delight
Speaker:
Exhale out, chasing out darkness
Speaker:
Breathing in delight
Speaker:
Do I even bring a smile to your face?
Speaker:
Exhale out, chasing away not only darkness, but those things
Speaker:
that trouble your heart and mind
Speaker:
Taking the
Speaker:
scales off of our eyes and out of our ears, those things that
Speaker:
block us receiving, having a soft and open receptive heart and mind
Speaker:
For it's in our heart and our mind that we're going to ponder
Speaker:
upon the things of the Lord
Speaker:
What are the things of the Lord that you delight in?
Speaker:
Have you ever thought of prayer?
Speaker:
Instead of being Checklist Pleading
Speaker:
To actually let go of an outcome and delight in the Lord's will Maybe
Speaker:
even an anticipation of what gifts of delight will you find today?
Speaker:
Coming to this space as an open vessel
Speaker:
Give you a moment just to ponder upon what brings you delight
