Welcome to the eighty-third episode of the Womanthology podcast.
Womanthology is the digital magazine and professional community powered by female energy and ingenuity. We champion equal recognition and reward for everyone, sharing opportunities, ideas, and a deep pool of collective wisdom – supporting each other to be unstoppable.
In this episode, in celebration of International Day of the Girl, Denise Wilson OBE, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Girlguiding, and Sally Kettle, Deputy Chief Guide, discuss their voluntary roles within the organisation and the impact of Girlguiding in shaping girls' lives.
At Girlguiding, Denise, who previously served in roles including CEO of the FTSE Women Leaders Review, engages in strategic planning and governance. Alongside Sally, a professional adventurer turned motivational speaker who encourages girls through adventure, she collaborates with the rest of the organisation to ensure the voices of members and volunteers are central to its direction.
