Timothy Schultz:

Welcome to Lottery Dreams and Fortune! I am so excited to be joined here today. We have a very special guest known as Sleepless Flower Girl. And she is appearing anonymously on this podcast. She won an incredible prize of a $5 million jackpot on a scratch ticket, I believe. But it's a really inspiring story. Sleeeless Flower Girl, how are you doing today?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I'm doing well, Timothy, thank you.

Timothy Schultz:

Thank you so much for taking the time. So I want to jump straight into it. This just happened recently that you won this massive $5 million jackpot. It's incredible. Can you walk me through the day? What happened?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, so, so walking through that day, I have to rewind a little bit before that day. I was going through a lot as far as, you know, not knowing if I was gonna be employed. I was just trying not to worry. I was starting to physically feel sick, though, from the worry. So I was trying not worry. So this particular day, I decided I wasn't going to go into work. So I said, you know, I'm going to get in call out. I wasn't feeling well, my sinuces was giving me issues. So when I called out that morning, which was on the 10th of April, it was early in the morning I called out. I wanted to stay in bed to stay asleep because again, I wasn't feeling well. But something was telling me to go to the market and get some stuff to make a smoothie. So I went on and got up that morning. It's around six or 7 a.m at that time. And I remember while I was at the market that I had keno tickets that I had won on. I had won maybe like $120 or something like that on a Kino ticket. So I said, well, let me stop at the machine to get some scratch-offs. And I got a $50 scratch-off, which I only got one. Usually, I usually get more than one, but I only get one that time. And I get like a $20 and a couple of other scratch- offs. So, yeah, I got home and the...I scratched off all the scratch offs except for the $50 one that was the last one I decided I was I was going to just scratch off the bar code because I was really ready to lay back down. So I scratched up the barcode. And when I scanned the last ticket, which was the $50 ticket, I saw all this confetti. I saw a five and a whole lot of zeros. And I just kept scanning it. The bar code. I scanned it. I had to scan it maybe about three or four times That fourth time I started to get a little panicky, so to speak, because I just couldn't understand what was happening. And so, yeah, I couldn't tell if it was like $500,000. I just really didn't know what it was.

Timothy Schultz:

Oh my gosh, so you were scanning this? This was at a machine? This was on your phone?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I used the app on my phone to scan. I scratched off the barcodes off all the tickets and yeah, the $50 ticket, which was the last one. And I think one of the $20, the, the $20 dollar one, I think I did win something on that, I can't really remember, but the $15 one, it was just like confetti five zero zero zero, zero zero.

Timothy Schultz:

Oh my gosh.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I didn't know what it was.

Timothy Schultz:

Was this an app through the lottery service or through a courier service? And what did it actually tell you? You saw these zeros. You saw the five and all these zeros, but did it do a song or anything? Did it say claim at lottery office? What did it say?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

It was the Maryland State Lottery app, so once you scan the barcode, it's like a bunch of confetti and it says congratulations and then it has the prize amount. It says congratulations, it might say winner, but it's so much confetti. And it's constantly moving confetti, so it's like, you're trying to see through the confetti like what is this? You just see congratulations and numbers.

Timothy Schultz:

That's incredible. What were you feeling at the time?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I was feeling, and I was filling disbelief. Like I was like, is this real? And then I was, like, what is happening? Is this real? And I started to feel all types of emotions. Yeah, I had to call a family member and I'm like, my mom, I'm just like, could you see what this is? Cause I don't know what this. And she even asked, is this real? Yes, it's real. Yeah, so I just started feeling really confused, happy, excited, nervous. It was a lot of emotions all at one time that just hit me.

Timothy Schultz:

Mmm.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I just, but mainly it was the disbelief.

Timothy Schultz:

And did you ever expect to win before it happened?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, Timothy. Oh my gosh, because it was the day before the ninth. I believe it was, his name is Gavin, who you did it, you posted the interview with, who had won off a $750,000 scratch off. And that night I watched it and I just felt so much excitement watching his video. And after that interview, I said a prayer to God. I was like, God, please, you know, just look out for your daughter. And I wanna I'm not married now, but you know, I said, I want to be able to retire my husband. Like I was just speaking things and, you know, just speaking things out loud of my desires and asking God for that help. And, um, that next day, yeah, it was like, help came knocking. So I always felt like that, you know, it was going to happen. And I always envisioned myself coming on your show and having an interview with you. And even before that, on my way going back and forth to work, I would pass the headquarters, lottery headquarters in Maryland. And I would always say, every time I would pass that building, I'll be there tomorrow to cash my check. I'd say it every day of driving to work and looking at that building. I'll be over there tomorrow to cash my check. That's what I would say to the building. Yeah, when it happened, it was just like, what?

Timothy Schultz:

So there's so many people into manifestation and intuition that are watching this or listening to this today. And I definitely want to dive deeper into that. Before I get to that, with this ticket, I want to get back to this moment because this is important. You have a ticket worth this massive amount of money that you come across like instantly, sudden, suddenly. What did you do with the ticket and were you a little bit nervous with that? Like what do you do with a ticket worth $5 million that's a scratch ticket?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I couldn't put the ticket down. And I was debating in my mind, should I make an appointment the next day? Should I wait? Should I hold it? Because I like I said I've watched your videos your you know, the the advice from your videos and I was trying to, you know, figure out what I was going to do next, what would be my next move, but yeah it didn't it didn't work out the way I wanted it to to you. Well, the way I was trying to plan it, because I was. It was just so much emotion and excitement. But yeah, I held onto the ticket and I made an appointment the next day to claim the ticket because I couldn't sleep. It was like, I was nervous. Yeah, I didn't want anyone coming to get the ticket or kidnapping me or anything. I don't know, it was just a whole bunch of feelings and nervousness and a little fear.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, were you afraid of someone? What were you afraid of?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I was afraid that it was like someone was watching me or someone knew because I don't know how soon after the store, the market, which I frequent to all the time, I don t know how soon after someone wins they put the big sign up, but I just felt like if someone knew that I got the ticket...And whoever owned the store they knew the next day that someone... I don't know. It was just some- random thoughts that was going through my mind constantly like somebody could be watching me or someone's going to come out to try to come and get me to come take the money.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, and I completely relate to that from when I won back in the day with the ticket. I mean we put it in a safety deposit box. And even then I was just like looking over my shoulder, like does this person know? I mean what...It's just really all these paranoid, paranoid thoughts. But what did you do that you mentioned you didn't get much sleep that night? But what did you do with the ticket that night before you redeemed it the next day?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I had it in my hand the whole night because I laid in the bed with it in my hand. The whole night.

Timothy Schultz:

Wow. Was there any part of you that questioned whether it was real?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

You know, this life that we're living is a strange life, so I'm like, is this a dream? You know am I in a dream? In a dream? Like is this really real? And I still sometimes question that like, what is this? What is this life? Like is the real real or is this the part of the real? It's not the full real, but maybe this is a part of a full real. It's unbelievable. It really is. It's unbelievable. Especially with the circumstances before it. It actually happens or the things that happen that takes place. It's like, wow, it was almost like it was set up for it or designed for it to happen.

Timothy Schultz:

Did you dream about it before it happened?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, I've always had dreams about like going to the casino, winning big at the casino. I remember my very first dream. I was had to be like a teenager at this time. And I remember like being a guest on a radio station and me winning like a million dollars on this radio station. And I thought it was real in the dream. And I woke up like, oh man, this wasn't real. And I was a teenager that time, so. But it felt really, real. And it was a lot of money at that time. So it was like back in the 90s.

Timothy Schultz:

well I won the lottery in in:

Sleepless Flower Girl:

So the next day, it was rainy. It was a rainy day, so I was extremely tired. I just felt like I was just floating, floating on clouds, like walking into the building. And I kinda knew it was at the top of the building, I don't know how I knew, but I know, like I said, every morning when I would ride past this building, I would look at the the top of the build and say, I'll be there to cash my check. So I knew I was gonna go all the way up to the top to this building. And we got on the elevator, went to the top. And it was a couple of other people there. It wasn't really crowded, but we had to sit in the waiting room for about 20 to 30 minutes. And yeah, it was just, I was just sitting and waiting, waiting to kind of get it over with, because it was still the nerves there, the little, the nervousness feeling. But yeah, we just sat there until they called us back. And once they, when I say us, we had my mom, my mom of course. You know, we went back into the little room and took pictures and the lady interviewed me. So that's how, you know, yeah, I was in the article, but I remained anonymous in the article.

Timothy Schultz:

So there was an article and it shows you, well, you have a picture taken with the giant check and it actually says, Sleepless Flower Girl on the big print. And it doesn't show your face. But this was recently, just a few months ago for this $5 million prize. So leading up to this, did they have, before they said, yes, you are the winner, was there like security and they wanted to make sure you were actually the winner? Do they test for that? And secondly to that, were you sort of nervous when you were waiting there for 20 or 30 minutes before even going back?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah. So it wasn't any security. I mean, the only security that was there was at the bottom of the, the bottom, of the building at the first floor. Um, that was the only security, but going up the elevator up to the top floor into the office, and it was a big building. So we had to walk like a long hallway. I mean, I just continue to feel the nervousness even after claiming the ticket. You know, I still felt really extremely paranoid. And I'm kind of better now, but it was bad. I didn't really want to go anywhere, you know, and everybody that I talked to, I felt like they knew. So it was like me trying not to spill my guts and tell everything because I'm like, Oh my gosh, do they know? Should I say something? Should I not say something? You know, because I mean, I'm the type of person that's like an open book, so... anyone that talks to me, I'm real bubbly and like, yeah, you know, chatty, I'll tell everything, my business. You know, but not that. I have to keep that to myself. But it was hard, it was hard.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, yeah, there's, there's five million reasons to think twice or to think about you know, who to tell and who not to tell. And did you tell an attorney or financial advisor or anybody like that like about...Did you get help behind the scenes?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, the attorney that you had on your show. I can't think of his name. I actually called him and he gave me some great advice. He gave me great advice and he was the only one that I called initially. Then after I did contact a financial advisor through my bank. So I am, you know, I currently work with a financial adviser.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, that's that's smart. You know, with other people, since you did claim it anonymously, you're in a lucky position where the whole world doesn't know exactly that you won, you know, really. But you're still feeling sort of some anxiety over other people finding out. That's completely understandable. But it's such, it's still an incredible, incredible win. You didn't get much sleep the night that you won. So after that, after you redeemed the prize and you had this giant check, were you able to start sleeping or was the exhilaration so high? Like what was going through your mind?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

So here's the thing, right? I still didn't get any sleep after even claiming it because they said they were, mailed the check to my house.

Timothy Schultz:

USPS?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, the United States Postal Service, it came through the mail. $3,362,000 I believe it was. Yeah, I still couldn't get any sleep until the check and that came about three weeks after.

Timothy Schultz:

Wow, a three million dollar check in the mail.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

$3,362,000 on the check with my name. And I still have the...

Sleepless Flower Girl:

the um, stub.

Timothy Schultz:

Wow. And so they took, did they take taxes out before that and stuff?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

They took taxes, the federal took, I think, 27%. Still had to pay a nice piece of change next year's taxes. So yeah, they did take, they took a good amount. So I'm kind of sad about, but I'm like, hey, it'll happen again. I'll get it back.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah. Yeah. And if it's invested, I mean, you can make interest on that, but that's, that's amazing. But I'm still, you know. With the mail though, putting a $3 million check in the mail. So from the time that you went in and redeemed it to the time, that it actually arrived two or three weeks later, what was going through your mind? Where you kind of...

Sleepless Flower Girl:

So, at that time, I had to still go into work because I couldn't call out any more days. Yeah, I was just like, I praying and hoping that it didn't go into another mailbox and someone open it, you know? That would be a disaster. And it wasn't even certified. It was just a regular, regular smegguler,

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Envelope.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

You know, they have like the, you tear on the ends. It was kind of like that. So it kind of looked like a check. Yeah, it was it was like that and so. It was a lot of nervousness, but I eventually, you know, it did come in the mail and I had to deposit it in my bank. Now that was another ordeal because the bank had questions. They're like, who is this lady? All this money and this one check, where did it come from? Yeah, they were very nosy and wanted to know if I had to talk with someone in the investigative department before they actually cleared with that check.

Timothy Schultz:

And what did they think when you told them that like, I mean, did you just say like won the lottery and that's how I'm getting this and how did they react?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, I think for the people that I spoke with at that bank, that was their first time experiencing that. So, you know, they were excited for me also. Now it's kind of died down, but going into the branches to take money out or transfer money and they see my account, it's like I'm getting reactions from the tellers. That was kind of like nerve-racking. Because I'm like, there's people behind me and, oh, they was. Yeah, it was nerve-racking. I was like, oh my gosh, but you know, I get it, people, you know never seen that many zeros, I guess, on their job.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, yeah that's... Well ,it's incredible and do you, I mean, is there a certain, like a special type of account that has to go into or is it just...?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

No, it's just a checking and now it's in an investment account, but when I first deposited it, it was into a checking account.

Timothy Schultz:

Amazing. Do you have any big plans for the winnings?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, so I'm going to do a lot of traveling now that I'm not working. You know, I'm thinking about starting up my own business, getting into entrepreneurship. Yeah, maybe getting into some real estate. You know Maryland has a lot of homes that they need to have upkeep and build up in, in Baltimore city, so to speak. But I have a lot ideas, I think it's just neat. Now I have the time to really just think about which avenue I want to go. And mainly travel, mainly travel.

Timothy Schultz:

Do you have any special places you want to travel?

Sleepless Flower:

Girl Um, I want to go to, um, Fiji, Morocco. I want it to go see the great pyramids, you know, in Egypt maybe. Not maybe. Soon. Hopefully I'm saying maybe like, I don't have the funds, but yeah, I got the funds, so I guess it's, it's a lot of planning, a lot planning. So I don't know. It might take another few months for me to actually really figure out, you know what I want to do.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, that's completely understandable. It can take a little bit of time to kind of reassess, especially with sudden wealth like that. I think for me back in the day, it took about a year even to kind of think about, well, this just happened and what do I want to do now? I had to do a lot of introspective thinking about what really makes me happy and what I should be doing. I don't know if you're going through any of that?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I am, absolutely. And it's almost like the fear also, like the money is gonna be gone fast. So I immediately called a financial advisor to invest cause I don't know anything much about the stock market and you know, doing it myself. And I would like to learn it, but I really don't have a passion for all that stuff. You know, I just want to live life and, you know focus on the good things and not the stressful things. But yeah, that was a fear, like, oh my gosh, the money's gonna be gone and.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, it was a lot of thoughts like that. That's completely understandable and that I felt the same thing. And it's really, I think, important that you got a financial advisor too to help you behind the scenes and with that type of thing. And one thing that a lot of people don't know, because I felt that too right after I won is this fear of potentially being unwise and losing it somehow. And since, I mean, the truth is that most lottery winners don't go broke in spite of the, despite the, it's opposite of this, what everyone says. When you really do the research, it's not the case. It does happen to some people, but not with most, so.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, I think so.

Timothy Schultz:

Hopefully that can help ease some nerves, but listen to the financial advisor, but that's amazing and I'm so incredibly happy for you. Now, I want to back up just a little bit earlier this year you started doing some really intentional things with, I don't know if you'd use the word manifestation, but

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, I did. I did, yes. So I brought a white eraser board. And so my intentions was to put this board in my bedroom on my wall so every morning I'd look at it. But I didn't get around to drilling it into the wall. So, I had it in my living room. So every morning, I would leave out to work, I would look at, I would see it. And on the board I wrote the things that I wanted to do this year, which I had a book on there. It's just coming to mind. Like I like to write and the book that I've never finished that I need to finish. So I had the book on there. I had 1 million x 40, which is $40 million. I would just look at it every day and just, you know, just look at every time I would come in and leave out, I would look at this board. And I knew that this is something that, you know, that's coming my way that I need to focus on. Now, how the $40 million was going to come, I wasn't really thinking about. I was (inaudible). I might have been thinking like I could win it in the lottery because I do play the Mega Millions and the Powerball. But it was mainly just looking at that $40 million. Like this is, this is mine. This is going to be in my pocket. Don't know how, but it's gonna be mine. So I had told myself this year that that's what I wanted to do to just start being more intentional and speaking those things out loud that I want, that I desire. I don't think I'm too bad of a person. You know, I'm not perfect. And so, you know, I try to work on anything that I feel is negative in my life or I feel like that is hindering me emotionally, mentally. I try to correct, you know, so, and I try to put in good things, good positive things. Yeah, that's what I did. I was just looking at that board every morning and every day like this is going to be mine. And even when, like a few weeks before that I was, I had bought a couple of scratch offs. $50 ones. And I remember my mom and she would say, she said to me, she said, why do you keep spending that money on them scratch offs? And you're not winning any money? She had literally said that to me. Like three weeks, two-three weeks prior to me winning. And I told her, I said, don't worry. It's coming. It's a coming. You got to. So you have to win. You have to play to win, you have the play to win.

Timothy Schultz:

Wow. And looking back, are you like, mom, I told you so.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, I remind her every chance I get.

Timothy Schultz:

Well, you looked at this whiteboard every day with this on it. So when this happened, were you feeling as if you had it? Were you feeling it, imagining the future or what exactly was going through your mind? Did you say anything out loud?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, imagining in the future, like I just visualized how I want my life to be. And I visualize what I feel like I deserve through my actions. It's not to say that, you know, life is just perfect and everything's going to be perfect because I know, you know, I have, going to have some obstacles and things to get over. However, it's up to me to pay attention and to focus if I'm going to focus on those negative things or not. So, yeah, just visualize. All the things that I want, the positive things. And me looking at those that board, and I still have to board. I still have to board. I haven't looked at it lately, but I need to get back to looking at it. But yeah, I just would just look at it and visualize what I want in life and how I want my life to be this next, the later years of my life, how I want my life to be. And I do that intentionally. I try to do that every day where I'm visualizing and meditating and just thinking about the positive things and not paying attention, not focusing on the negative things. And if there is anything negative that is like a residue in me. You know, I ask God to help heal me. I ask God to help remove it, whether it be me crying it out, you know something to help where, you know I feel. Okay, this is the best that I can do to overcome it.

Timothy Schultz:

That seems very wise with the lens upon which you see things and choosing the lens of more positivity. So it sounds like you were intentionally trying to manifest this. I don't know if you'd use those words, but when you had this on the whiteboard, you drove by lottery headquarters, all these things, and then it actually happened. Did you put the two things, these things that happened before and the win together immediately? Or what?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, it was. Yes, I did. Absolutely. It was just so crazy, though, because I was like, oh my gosh, did this, did I? Did this actually happen? Did I do that? Yeah, you know, I'm like, okay, this, there, there is truth in, you know, you think positive, you speak positivity. You know, if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at would change, I heard that somewhere, I can't remember who said it, but you know it actually, it works. And I do believe that there's a higher power, you know, do believe there's someone watching over us. And things happen when they're supposed to happen.

Timothy Schultz:

And with things that happen when they're supposed to happen, with the timing of it for people that, and even for yourself, just in your experience, for the times that you played and you didn't win, I mean, always play responsibly, anyone watch you listening, if you play the lottery. If you don't, that's okay too, but if you do, and play responsively, but for all the times that you play and you don't win, did you ever question that this could happen to you?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

No, I never questioned it. It was just like, okay, not this time, next time. It was always a feeling of it's not happening now, but it will happen. And I still feel like it's going to continue to happen. Like, I just feel like money will follow me and I don't even say I could be wrong, but you know, there's nothing guaranteed. Of course, no one lives forever, but this is just the feeling. This is what I feel and this is how I have to continue to be, because this is my, my reality. So I feel like it's going to happen again. And as long as I am in alignment and I am, you know, meditating and talking to God and doing the things that I feel like that's necessary for me to bring that to my way, bring that positivity and those funds my way. Those are the things I know that I need to do, continue to do.

Timothy Schultz:

know that you saw signs, like:

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, you know, it's funny because I remember doing certain events in my life, positive events. I've always seen signs. And in me recognizing it now, when it came to me getting a new job, I remember seeing a bunch of ones and twos and fours and the synchronicities. Now I'm seeing a lot of butterflies and, and I'm still seeing fours and ones and yeah. And before the win, I was seeing a lot of those synchronicities.

Timothy Schultz:

And do you think that's from God and that sort of thing? Did you pray? Did you do specific prayers before you won? Or how do you think that God is tied into this?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

So yeah, there's no specific prayer. There's just me talking to God, like at my core, talking at my natural core, no facade, being completely transparent as much as I can be to God. And the prayers that I would talk, I would just talk to God and just tell God how I'm feeling and ask God for whatever to help me to in whatever it is that I'm in need of. You know, and I do that every day, sometimes multiple times a day, and it may not even be out loud, it could just be me talking to God in my mind or in my heart or whatever feelings that I'm feeling. I try to be proactive in counteracting whatever negativity that's going on. I'm like constantly trying to stay on top of that internally. And yeah, but I definitely believe God, you know, played a part in this win because it was not me alone, but I had to do the work. If that makes sense, like I had do the, I had to do the work. And that was the part of it that was the manifestation of being positive and whatever that work was, I had to do it. God is real, because like I said, I would pray, and that night before when I saw it, I can't, I believe his name's Gavin. You know, I prayed that night. I prayed at night after watching your interview with Gavin when he won off that $750,000 scratch off.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, we had an interview with Gavin who won $750,000 on a scratch off. And so you watched this and then you won the very next day?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

The very next day. That night I prayed before I went to sleep. That night I talked to God. Well, the next day, he just showed. He just showed up. He didn't say much. He just showed up the next day. He told me to get up and go to the market.

Timothy Schultz:

What did you say in the prayer when you were talking to God?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Um, at that time I wasn't for sure, like how I was going to survive because I was, you know, on the verge of like losing my job. And so I was talking to God, I was asking God to bless me, to open up the floodgates and pour out some blessings that, and prepare me for them. And I even prayed for my husband. Like I said, I'm not married, but I prayed for my husband because I know I am a wives. I asked God that I want, you know, I said I want to retire. I want a retire my husband. You know, I ask God to bless my family. Yeah, I was talking. I was asking, I wasn't asking for a lot and I was asking God to help me to be able to receive those things and to, if there's anything that's displeasing just to help me to change, help me to be a better person, help me to be good for source, for God.

Timothy Schultz:

Wow. And then you win $5 million the next day. I just got chills. That is really wonderful. That's incredible. So has this experience changed or reinforced your belief in spiritual beliefs, or beliefs in manifestation and this sort of thing?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

It's really just reinforced my belief, being mindful of my thoughts, you know, just being careful what I say, things that I speak, it's just reinforced those things because we do have, I believe the Bible when it says we have the power of life and death in our tongue and that's... Just be mindful and then, you know, anything is possible. Anything is possible. I wish I could share with everyone, you know, that anything is possible, you know, with my close family and friends. But unfortunately, you know, this has definitely changed my mind. And when it comes to that, you know, everyone's not going to be happy for you. I've lost a close friend, I believe I don't know, maybe she'll come back. I don't know. You know, because of this, and she even said, I wish you'd never told me. And that, that hurt me, so yeah, so It did both. It's reinforced. My beliefs and has also changed certain things about how I see things.

Timothy Schultz:

That makes complete sense, and it is, I resonate with your story so much for many reasons, but one is the exact same thing happened to me back in the day, and I dreamt about it before it happened, and how did these other synchronicities happen, and then it happened which was very surreal, but then, and most people were supportive, but some people, there was some jealousy or animosity, and, you know, I had to be careful about that sort of thing. It changed some relationships with some people. And we spoke once before, and you mentioned something about...It can feel lonely at the top. What do you mean by that?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I mean, that's so very true. I mean when you reach a level of success, however that success may come, everyone's not going to have your best interests. Everyone's not going be happy for you. And you have to like really use discernment because you don't want to be involved or put your presence or your time, waste your time around certain negativities or certain things that's going to affect, you know, you receiving what's meant for you. So. I mean, with this win, I have to really be mindful of who I'm surrounding myself with and you know, I don't want to be around anyone that you know, might do something bad. I don't know, there's a lot of thoughts that goes through my mind, like okay, there are a lot things that can happen and I just want to make sure I keep my freedom and my sanity and my peace. Yeah, it's not that many people that can come with me. They're not going to be on the same, be on that same level.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah, and I've kind of found that it kind of, I don't know if you've found this or if you will find this, but with some people, and for me at least, it felt like sort of, it sort of weeded some people out. Like you could see which was real and which.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, I noticed that. And that came unintentionally. Like I've noticed people like just fell off, you know? You know, stop communicating for whatever reason. So I'm like, is this a sign? You know maybe this is the way it's supposed to be. You know sometimes you grow apart from people. You always, I always have love in my heart from, for my close family and friends. I just have to be more mindful of how I choose to spend my time or give them my time.

Timothy Schultz:

You can't control other people and how they react, but you can control how you feel, how you perceive it and how you, how you feel about it. Would you agree with that?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Absolutely. We can only control ourselves. I have hard enough time controlling myself, let alone controlling anyone else. And you know, if anything, I know I could be an example. That's it. You know, I'm not, I just have to live my life and, you know the other person have to move their life. I know what works for me.

Timothy Schultz:

Yeah and it sounds like what you are choosing most of the time is real positive, it's a positive outlook and so it seems like the healthier way to focus your energy rather than on anyone that doesn't feel the same, you know, surround yourself with people that are happy for you and just try to live the best life and be happy. You know you mentioned this but, how would you say that your life has changed after the win? And are you sleeping any better now because you are the Sleepless Flower Girl on this giant check?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, oh my goodness. So I am definitely sleeping still good. I even got a new mattress, but my life has definitely changed a lot. Like I'm just, I just feel like it's made me more mature, made me become more mature. I'm always, you know, the carefree type of person, but you know now it's like, okay, I gotta be a little reserved on this carefreeness. I cannot, certain things just, you know, I gotta be mindful of. So it definitely, it definitely has changed. And of course I have the time to figure out things of what I want to do and how I want to do them. I'm enjoying my sleep.

Timothy Schultz:

Well, that's wonderful. I'm so glad to hear that. Are you still playing the lottery, or do you think that you will in the future?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

I'm still playing um, you know I have to play to get my my second big win. So it's coming, I just know it's coming and when it comes I'll be back. And this time, well the next time, no I still might be anonymous. I still might be anonymous. We'll see. Maybe, maybe not, we'll see.

Timothy Schultz:

So, and you have the choice to choose between that. And so are you happy that you claimed it anonymously? Are you happy with that? Would you suggest someone else do that?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes, I am. Oh, absolutely. I'm very much happy that I chose to be anonymous. At first, when they brought out the check, they had my whole government on the check. And I just, I started hyperventilating a little bit. I was like, oh, no, I said, please, can we use a different name? Because, yeah, that was a little too much. I don't want my name out there. I don't people to know. Yeah, in Maryland, we can be anonymous with big wins. So I'm definitely happy I chose to stay anonymous.

Timothy Schultz:

I'm yeah, I'm so happy that they, that you have that choice. Some places they don't have that. In some places that's not an option. So that is amazing. And for anyone watching or listening to this today who wants to manifest their own dreams because you've talked a lot about of course not just about your lottery win here, but about the way that you view the world, your perspective, the lens upon looking at something in a positive light instead of a negative light, and going forward that way, being better. What's your biggest piece of advice for anyone that wants to manifest their own dreams?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

My biggest piece of advice would be to follow your journey, follow your own journey, wherever that may be, and whatever that may be. And also just know that when it comes, it comes suddenly, but subtly. Just breathe when it comes. Just breathe and follow your journey.

Timothy Schultz:

I love that, and yeah, deep, deep breath, just breathe. And for anyone that is watching this that plays the lottery, that maybe is hoping to win, do you have any hot tips or anything that you would tell someone?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yes. So if you're playing, you know, always play responsibly. Don't go broke. Don't t go spend your bill money. You know, just if you have your set of numbers or if you have a certain scratch off that you like to play, you know, play it. Don't sell yourself short, but don't go broke and be out on the streets. It's okay to play. Even if it's not a winner this time, you never know when that next time will be.

Timothy Schultz:

And if that next time does happen for anyone watching or listening, then what's the biggest piece of advice for them?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

It's going to be so hard, but don't tell nobody. Move out of state and don't tell anybody. It's going to be hard, but put yourself to the challenge and see if you can just keep it between you and God. Don't even tell your spouse. Don't tell your kids. Don't ever tell anybody.

Timothy Schultz:

I love it. Yeah, except for God you can tell God.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Oh yeah, you can tell, God.

Timothy Schultz:

Or you can tell, or you can come onto this podcast anonymously, but.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, you can come on to Timothy's podcast anonymously and tell your story. I love to hear it. I can't wait.

Timothy Schultz:

Well, Sleepless Flower Girl, your story is so incredibly inspiring and I am so happy for you. Like seriously, this is just one of those stories where I'm just, you can say, at least for me, it's like, yes, you are so blessed and I'm so unbelievably happy for you. So blessings to you and thank you for coming onto this show, but is there anything that you want to say today about your win or your experience that I didn't ask or that you just want to say?

Sleepless Flower Girl:

No, that, it's just, you know, it's a beautiful feeling. I mean it's the comfortable feeling. You just have to be happy with and you know you can't think that the money is going to come it's going to automatically make you happy. No, you have to seek out your happiness within. No outside source can um or factor can make you happy. You have to have it within. All the other stuff on the outside is just bonus.

Timothy Schultz:

So you have to figure it out within instead of something out.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Yeah, instead of speaking it out on the outside. Yes.

Timothy Schultz:

That is beautiful. Well, thank you very much for your time and for coming onto this podcast. I really, really appreciate it. And it's such a pleasure, true pleasure meeting you.

Sleepless Flower Girl:

Thank you, Timothy. I'll be back.

Timothy Schultz:

We'll have round two, absolutely.
