Ron:
Welcome to Live Behind the Veil where we explore the reality of Christ living in and through his people. In this episode, we look at what it truly means to be part of the body of Christ. God never intended his kingdom to be expressed through an isolated individuals. Instead, he is forming a many membered body.
Believers joined together speaking a living word and functioning in unity under Christ as head. As we open our hearts to the creative word of God, something powerful begins to happen. Christ gains his voice through his people. Each member finds their place, and together the body becomes something far greater than any individual could ever be.
Today we are talking about a mighty people, an anointed body of believers through whom God is revealing His kingdom in this earth.
Mike:
I'm prepared because my brothers and sisters helped prepare me. Help create me. They spoke a living word to me that washed me by the water of the word, right! That created a son of God. I've been able to do the same for my brothers and sisters as well. God needs a people, not one person. It's through this many-membered body, right! He functions, and we give Christ His voice. We give God His voice and the Holy Spirit His voice, 'cause we've got the mouths that speak it, that speak a living word.
Ken:
What is the body of Christ? And why did Paul say that God would set the members of the body in their place as it pleased Him? Who are we to say any person is anything other than what God created to fill that place in the body? We didn't do it. When you begin to realize that you're a part of something that's so much greater, so much bigger than you are, I think we're hitting on the greater works. When Jesus said, "Greater works will you do than I've done, because I go to be with the Father." I truly believe this is evidence of that.
Ron:
I want to go back to the core thing about a word from God, a word from the Lord. First off, the number one thing is creative. He's not trying to talk to your intellect and your reason. He's speaking and creating something in you, in your spirit.
Debbie:
Yep.
Ron:
And this is what we've received. Now, I think there's different levels of reception depending on your dedication and your openness to the Lord, but nevertheless, that doesn't change the word of God. The word of God, when it's spoken, has all of God in it.
Debbie:
Yep.
Ron:
When a word comes from God, it's God. It's not human. The whole premise of that is that it's creative. It's the same power, it's the same word that He used to create the world. There's no difference at all. We're reaching in to be channels of that same word from God. And in all honesty, that takes a tremendous amount of cleansing and purging and dedication and commitment. It's not lightly entered into by any means. No.
What's emphasized by the Holy Spirit right now is that He is focused on a body of believers, not individuals, and He's raising up a body of anointed believers that all know Him, that all speak a living word, that all speak a word from God.
Debbie:
Right!
Ron:
We've had tremendous men and women of God throughout the centuries. Tremendous—Abraham, Moses, Elijah, right! Those were all singular, in a singular person. He was a singular person. Now Christ wants to come forth in a many-member body. No one can imagine the power, the authority. This is why this is battled so horribly. Yes, because it's the Kingdom of God coming forth. It's God on the earth. It's more than we've ever conceived, experienced, or saw. And honestly, we're reaching into it, but it's really God unfolding His plan.
Ken:
Yeah, and it's really awareness, Ron. It's just awareness as we walk into this new day. We're aware that the Lord lives within us. And all we have to do really, in essence, is open up to that and be aware of Him. It means you tap into something in the spirit and you begin to function, and it's not your words coming out. This is God moving through you.
This is evidence of the greater works. Jesus knew that one would put a thousand to flight. How about ten? How about twelve? How about twenty in the body of Christ? What are they gonna produce? I don't think we yet imagine what God is going to do through the family as we function and move ahead. But I do believe it's happening.
Mike:
You are gonna find out that your prophecies and your prayers are gonna do more than what any man can do through legislation or passing laws or this or that or anything else. Our prophecies are doing more, and God is answering our prophecies and prayers quicker now in this day than ever before. He's faithful to do the things He says He's going to do. And what He's saying through our mouths being spoken is His will being done His way in the earth. He's doing it, not me. I'm just a channel. And it's so fun to watch how much is being done by Him through this many-membered body.
Ron:
The living epistles are not necessarily men and women that speak the word of God. That's too limiting. You are gonna have men and women that are anointed living epistles that are doers. They do things. Think about this—this is a kingdom. The kingdom is not a bunch of people standing around speaking the word. Will that be true? Yes. You can have farmers. You're gonna have all this type of stuff because it's on this earth.
The reason I know it's true is just the example of that out in the wilderness of the tabernacle and the men that built the tabernacle, the men that built Solomon's temple. God showed them by revelation, and these guys were craftsmen, tremendous craftsmen, that made all these vessels and inlaid gold on wood, which we can't even do now.
I think it's really important that we broaden our horizons as far as when we meet men and women out there. They're not necessarily gonna be preachers or people that speak a word from God. They're just gonna be men and women that do God. They do God. These guys are gonna have the wisdom and the knowledge and revelation from God to be able to create this type of stuff.
Ken:
What we're really talking about tonight is a mighty army. You take an army—are they all soldiers? No. But do they all have functions? Yes. I think we're yet to really see or understand what the body of Christ is really made up of. We always talk about the simplicity of how God moves. It's not hard to understand. It's very simple. It's down to earth. It's something that everybody could relate to.
This mighty army that we're talking about tonight is bigger and more powerful than anything that's ever been on the earth, really. But it's God who's using them, and that is what makes them powerful.
Ron: Thank you for joining us for this episode of Live Behind the Veil. The Kingdom of God is not about one person standing alone, but about a body of believers moving together under the Lordship of Christ. As each member finds their place and speaks the living word of God, Christ gains his expression in the earth through his people.
The greater works Jesus spoke of are not the works of isolated individuals, but the works of a many membered body function together in the spirit. If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who is hungry to walk deeper with the Lord. And until next time, keep pressing in, keep listening for his voice and continue living your life behind the veil.
