Summary:

God is working His will out in those who open up to Him and totally give over their will to Him. This spiritual balance between God's working and the intuitive of faith and willingness in us produces an atmosphere that God can create His will in us. In all that He allows us to go through, we give back to Him a deep worship and thankfulness knowing that He is working out His perfect will in our lives.

Show Notes:

  • God is the beginning and the end in our lives.

  • There is a balance between God working in us and our initiative to do His will.

  • We allow Him to work in our lives to accomplish his will.

  • He is faithful to finish His work in us.

  • In all He lets us go through good and bad, we are commanded to give thanks.

  • When we give thanks in all things we are saying You are the Lord and I submit to your working out Your will in my life.

Quotes:

  • God starts something and He's gonna finish it. He's the alpha and He's the omega. He's the beginning and the end. Yes, He is that, but what He does in us is the same thing.

  • There's a balance in this because if, if we say that He is the, Alpha and the Omega, we're His workmanship, but we take an attitude I don't have to do anything and He's gonna do it all.

  • There is an initiative on our part that we have to open the door so that He can become in us what is necessary to bring us totally into the presence of the Father.

  • It's about allowing Him to come into our lives and be that part of us that we are constantly in, in a relationship with. He can actually lead us by His presence and direct us by His will.

  • His will is to complete the work in us. The initiative on our part is to give Him our will to do that.

  • And so if we live in the spirit, walk in the spirit and love each other in the spirit, we're reaching into that realm and all things give thanks.

  • It's not easy to give thanks into all things, but I'll tell you what that is a perfecting your spirit.

  • ...when you give thanks, you're saying, Lord, I am your son, and what You do with me is your business, not mine.

  • I can reach into this relationship with You and love You with all of my heart, with all of my soul, with all of my being. In spite of what I'm going through, it doesn't matter because what You're doing is what You're doing to perfect me and bring me into a place I've never been in before.

  • Thanksgiving in all things, worship in all things. This brings forth His perfect will in me.

Ken:

God starts something and He's gonna finish it. He's the alpha and He's the omega. He's the beginning and the end. Yes, He is that, but what He does in us is the same thing. He begins in us and our salvation experience, the initial experience of salvation. He awakens our spirit, but then we always get the concept, you know, that we have to work it out. He's the way, the truth in the life.

Ron:

Yes, He is all in all. And He is the alpha on the omega. He we're His workmanship. In our spirits we still have to be on tiptoe. There's a balance in this because if, if we say that He is the, Alpha and the Omega, we're His workmanship, but we take an attitude I don't have to do anything and He's gonna do it all.

Lois:

He says, you draw near to me and I'll draw near to you.

Ron:

That's why I'm bringing it up because there's a balance. There has to be a balance in our spirit all the time.

Lois:

When you seek Me with your whole heart, when you seek Me with your whole heart, you'll find Me.

Ken:

In Revelations three, it says, I stand at the door, knock any man, hears My voice and opens the door.

There is an initiative on our part that we have to open the door so that He can become in us what is necessary to bring us totally into the presence of the Father. It's about giving yourself totally. It's about allowing Him to come into our lives and be that part of us that we are constantly in, in a relationship with. He can actually lead us by His presence and direct us by His will.

Because in order to to really have that place, we have to give our will. Now that's a place where there's an a real initiative where we have to give Him our will. His will is to complete the work in us. The initiative on our part is to give Him our will to do that.

We often forget we had been trans transferred out of the realm of darkness into His domain, into His spiritual reality.

And so often we go back to the human way of thinking instead of thinking in the spirit. And, and that's where we get into trouble. Because we're, there's still a battle there that's trying, trying to control us, trying to come in and say, no, this this is, this couldn't be true. God, God is, is a loving God. He wouldn't allow things like that.

Well, His love oftentimes looks like we're being punished because we we're allowed to go through things. I think God brings us through in the Spirit a step at a time, and it's because we're in the spirit. And so if we live in the spirit, walk in the spirit and love each other in the spirit, we're reaching into that realm and all things give thanks.

It's not easy to give thanks into all things, but I'll tell you what that is a perfecting your spirit. When you do that, you're taking yourself out of the natural realm and into the realm where God is. And when you give thanks, you're saying, Lord, I am your son, and what You do with me is your business, not mine.

I can reach into this relationship with You and love You with all of my heart, with all of my soul, with all of my being. In spite of what I'm going through, it doesn't matter because what You're doing is what You're doing to perfect me and bring me into a place I've never been in before. This is a spiritual journey. This is not about flesh and blood. This is about spiritual realities that we're reaching into.

There's a balance in our participation and what He's doing in our lives as well. And everything that God allows us to go through, there's something in that that He's taking us through for a purpose.

It's what He's creating in us. It's what He's doing in us. In other words, by our saying, yes Lord, I want that, I'm gonna worship you regardless of how I feel, or what I see, or what I think. I'm still gonna just worship You. I'm gonna trust You. There's something in us on a human level that when bad things happen, there's an automatic reflex.

Well, what did I, what did I do wrong? What have I done that, that I shouldn't have done? It's not about what you did, it's about what He's doing in your life. You know, to create you into who He wants you to be.

Ken:

In all things give thanks. You know, that's not an easy thing to really do coming from a human level. There are a lot of things we don't like, and we'd rather not be a part of 'em. If we can take the Word of God and say, I'm gonna believe Your Word, Lord, more than I'm going to believe my human way of thinking, and in all things give thanks.

There's something that in that process, that God works in us, something more that completes us. We're looking to be totally completed and in a different level, a different realm, and that realm is spirit. It's not on a human level. This is a spiritual level we're reaching into. And so as we keep reaching into the spirit and saying, Lord, thank You for what You're drawing me into.

Thank You for what I'm going through. Thank You for all the adverse, positive and negative, whatever they are. Thank You for all of it because You are the one that is doing the work. I am submitting my heart to You. Ron was talking earlier about a balance. There's something that we need to do and it's something that God will do as a result of what we do. Draw near to me and I will draw near to you.

Debbie:

Just knowing that He's doing it and that He's gonna get it, get you through it, and what you're gonna come out with. It's gonna be far above all you're able to ask or think.

Ron:

Thanksgiving in all things, worship in all things. This brings forth His perfect will in me.
