Shownotes

With the world still firmly in the grip of the Coronavirus pandemic, the concept of relocating to another country might seem unfathomable. But for thousands of teachers, the next few months will see them do just that.

As we approach another international recruitment window, leaders will be looking to plug staffing gaps, sometimes in very unusual circumstances. With some countries still under lockdown, others with quarantine restrictions in place, what impact will this have on the sector and leaders’ ability to recruit?

Our recruitment editor, Grainne Hallahan, caught up with Emily Hardwicke and Ben Keeling to get their take on the situation.

Hardwicke is assistant head and MYP coordinator at an international school in Switzerland, while Keeling is principal at Shrewsbury International School, Hong Kong. In this episode they look at the impact felt from Covid-19 in the international sector, and how they’ll approach staffing in the coming months.
