Stephanie Maas shares a heartfelt 4th of July message on what makes the holiday great, what makes America great, and why the perseverance of our nation and one of ThinkingAhead’s core principles are remarkably similar.
Today, I want to share with you my 4th of July message.
Speaker:
4th of July is one of my absolute favorites.
Speaker:
I love everything about it.
Speaker:
It's the victory of the underdog.
Speaker:
It's parties and celebrations without gifts.
Speaker:
Hot dogs, hamburgers, cold beer, love it, baseball, all the things that I think make America great.
Speaker:
And it always brings up really interesting and fun emotions for me.
Speaker:
I have to be honest.
Speaker:
I'm incredibly proud to live in America.
Speaker:
What I'm proud of?
Speaker:
Is when we see injustices, we fight them.
Speaker:
When we see wrongs, we work hard to make them better.
Speaker:
No place is perfect.
Speaker:
We all know this, but I'm incredibly thankful for the example that has been set for me to remember it's always the right time to do the right thing.
Speaker:
It's the 4th of July.
Speaker:
Think about everything that we conquered, everything that we work through, blood, sweat, and tears.
Speaker:
If someone said, Hey, how would you define a great America?
Speaker:
One of the things that was very difficult for me not to think about in regards to what makes our country great are the men and the women and their families that serve us in the military.
Speaker:
I am once again reminded of all the sacrifice others have made for the freedoms that we get to enjoy.
Speaker:
Every single day, even though we're certainly not perfect in America, as we all know, and seeing the media every single day has plenty of challenges.
Speaker:
It is still an amazing place to live, to work and to play.
Speaker:
And I am extremely thankful for those who are willing to sacrifice, not just their lives, But they're time away from the ones that they love to make sure we have the freedoms that we do so today I especially want to honor all of those who have ever been in are still in Work with whatever the case may be as it comes to our military for me personally You are a huge reason why I think America is great.
Speaker:
So thank you.
Speaker:
Thank you very much.
Speaker:
I want to say thank you to you.
Speaker:
I certainly appreciate you letting me be in your world.
Speaker:
It allows me to create an amazing life for my family.
Speaker:
So thank you.
Speaker:
I hope you gather.
Speaker:
I hope you celebrate.
Speaker:
I hope you drink cold beer.
Speaker:
If that's your thing.
Speaker:
I hope you eat a hot dog.
Speaker:
If you'd like hot dogs, most importantly, I hope you spend it with the ones you love.
Speaker:
And celebrate, honor, and remember how we got here.
