Life is hard huh? If only we could be in the time of the apostles - then life would not be so hard right? That is not what St Paul says today: “it is on account of this that I have my own hardships to bear, even to being chained like a criminal – but they cannot chain up God’s news. So I bear it all for the sake of those who are chosen” St Paul, a totally innocent man, was chained up for years. He died in chains. Yet history reverberates with his love. He used his sufferings as a tool of prayer for others. Lets do that for the rest of today: each suffering that comes, offer it as a prayer for the healing or conversion of someone. Then we will be true missionaries.
