A) Verse 14 presents the declaration we're seeking: "Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving." That's what the Lord desires. It's not the sacrifices, the bulls, or the goats. Those are merely symbols to remind us of whom we're dealing with and who should be acknowledged. The truth is that God desires thanksgiving that originates from our hearts.

B) God makes a promise. He says, "If you offer thanksgiving, call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and then you shall glorify me." This is an intriguing formula. Give thanks to God in everything. Call upon Him in your trouble. He will deliver you, and praises will ascend to Him. This sounds correct because it is.
