Shownotes

Ever Gonzalez, the founder of Outlier HQ has a few things figured out. In this episode, we break down  the basics of podcast community building as well as how and when to monetize, how to empower your community through engagement, the value of a strong email list, where to connect virtually and our thoughts on social media and the Clubhouse trend. We also chat a bit about getting started and the need to have and embrace a process.

If you're interested in attending an Outlier HQ event, we are having our FIRST in-person event since the pandemic this May 2022 in Austin, Texas. I will be there live and in person and so will Ever Gonzalez. I'd love to say "Hi"! You can stay updated by joining their newsletter & clicking the link below. (P.S. I'm a member of their Advisory Board so yes...I'm biased)

Ever's Checklist for Community Building:

  1. You need to be passionate about the community you want to build and who they are as a community.
  2. Lead from a place of value authentically before monetizing
  3. Create ownership and engagement by putting your community in the drivers seat. Consider offering an ambassador program.
