The one where we get to meet an axe-wielding Heavy Metal legend.
If you are a follower of rock music, and you are also of a certain age, then you will be no doubt aware of the term New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (a phrase that was often referred to by the somewhat predictable but nevertheless jaunty acronym of NWOBHM). Anyway, it was a late seventies, early eighties phenomena and it was coined due to the combined impact of a group of UK bands that included Def Leppard's, Motorhead and the mighty Saxon.
Paul Quinn along with vocalist Biff Byford was part of the original Saxon line-up that came together in Barnsley, and went on to literally rock all over the world.
We managed to grab Paul for a chat, and get the lowdown on what life was really like, including how Saxon were instrumental in bringing Spinal Tap to the screen.
