Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James. Jas 4:7. Hi, it’s Nathan and we’re enjoying day 23 of 30 days of promise. Taunted. Harassed. Oppressed. All those words seem appropriate in describing life with the devil and his imps around. But this promise offers reprieve! Blessed reprieve. Submit to God, James instructs—rest in him, trust in him, turn yourself over to him, give up to him—however you want to describe it, consenting to be under God’s gentle care, forces Satan to back away, turn tail and run, bringing urgently needed relief in the fight.
