Shownotes

Have you ever felt like you’re not meant to do just one thing for the rest of your life? Or felt the pull of escaping the corporate grind to travel the world and be your own boss?

Well podcast queen and host of In My Non-Expert Opinion, Chelsea Riffe, is on the pod today and has done both of those things! She and I chatted about her journey as a shape-shifting, globetrotter and entrepreneur and how she taps into her spirituality to support her in making some pretty big decisions.

Chelsea is an Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, and Virgo Rising

She is currently in the first month of a four-month trip with remote year starting in cape town and ending in Split, Croatia, so if you haven’t yet gotten to know her podcast now is the perfect time to start so you can hear all about her adventures…and see how it aligns with the locational astrology we talked about on her podcast last week!

This episode is for you if you’re looking for a fresh perspective on living your life to the fullest and breaking out of societal programming.

As I get older, it kind of ties back to the conversation we're having of embracing the fluidity instead of trying to stick to one thing and be known as one thing. I want to be known as someone that always evolves and is shedding their skin and like, yeah, you can expect me to change in a few years and maybe even a few months! - Chelsea Riffe

Chelsea and I also chat about:

  • Her current 4-month trip with Remote Year, travelling to Cape Town, Valencia, Lisbon, and Split
  • Her journey from corporate America to starting her own business
  • Living out her very own Eat, Pray, Love journey in Australia, Bali, and Europe
  • The importance of community when you’re an entrepreneur
  • How travel really shows you that time is just a construct
  • Balancing our extraverted and introverted sides
  • How future visioning can help you make decisions about what’s right for you
  • Using spirituality to guide you in leading the life you want to live
  • Questioning why we’ve been told we have to do one thing for our whole life
  • How she embraces the energy of transformation and wants to be someone who changes regularly
  • What it’s like to have Pluto in Scorpio in the 3rd house
  • What it’s like being a Reflector in Human Design
  • How she might over identify with her Sun sign and how she’s working to integrate other parts of her chart
  • What it’s like having a Capricorn stellium in the 5th house
  • Questioning the 40-hour week and 9-5 work day
  • Who decided on the symbolism of astrology and where does it come from?
  • The advantage of exploring her locational astrology ahead of her transformational trip around the world

Speaker:

Hello everybody.

Speaker:

Welcome to It's Astrological, the podcast where we talk

Speaker:

about astrology as self care.

Speaker:

I'm your host Lynette.

Speaker:

Wennerstrom.

Speaker:

Have you ever felt like you're just not meant to do one thing for the

Speaker:

rest of your life, or maybe felt like escaping the corporate grind to

Speaker:

travel the world and be your own boss.

Speaker:

Well podcast queen and host of in my non-expert opinion, Chelsea

Speaker:

rife is on the pod today and has done both of those things.

Speaker:

Today, she and I chat about her journey as a shape-shifting

Speaker:

globe, Trotter and entrepreneur.

Speaker:

And how she taps into her spirituality to support her in

Speaker:

making some pretty big decisions?

Speaker:

Chelsea was my podcast, coach, AKA founding contributor of the podcast.

Speaker:

You're listening to right now.

Speaker:

And she is such an incredible expander when it comes to having a clear vision.

Speaker:

Of how you want and don't want to live your life and actually

Speaker:

bringing that vision to life.

Speaker:

She's currently in the first month of a four month trip with remote year, starting

Speaker:

in Cape town and ending in split Croatia.

Speaker:

So if you haven't gotten to know her podcast, Now is the perfect time to start.

Speaker:

So you can hear all about her adventures and see how it aligns

Speaker:

with the locational astrology.

Speaker:

We talked about on her podcast last week.

Speaker:

We had so much fun talking about travel spirituality, entrepreneurship

Speaker:

transformation, and of course, astrology.

Speaker:

I can't wait for you to listen.

Speaker:

So here we go.

Lynnette:

Hi, Chelsea.

Lynnette:

Welcome to It's Astrological.

Lynnette:

I'm so happy to have you

Chelsea:

I'm so excited to be here.

Chelsea:

Thanks for having me on.

Lynnette:

Chelsea is my podcast coach.

Lynnette:

She is a key founding member basically of this podcast.

Lynnette:

so I was just telling her, I kind of feel like this is like my

Lynnette:

final for the course, but, um, I'm excited cuz I think we're just gonna

Lynnette:

have so much fun chatting today.

Chelsea:

Oh, god, I cannot wait.

Chelsea:

And your podcast is already incredible.

Chelsea:

So no need to have any nerves.

Chelsea:

nerves

Lynnette:

Well, thank you.

Lynnette:

so as I mentioned, Chelsea was my podcast coach, but she

Lynnette:

does so much more than that.

Lynnette:

And she has so many adventures to share.

Lynnette:

So Chelsea, if we could just start out where in the world are you today?

Lynnette:

Very exciting news.

Lynnette:

And what's your cultural background?

Chelsea:

I am in Cape town, South Africa right now.

Chelsea:

I'll be here for the next month.

Chelsea:

I just got here last week and my cultural background, I am from Florida.

Chelsea:

My mom is Puerto Rican, uh, born and raised there, and then moved to

Chelsea:

Florida, met my dad and my dad is, you know, quote unquote American.

Chelsea:

But according to my ancestry DNA, a lot of my ancestry is from

Chelsea:

like Portugal, Spain, Africa.

Chelsea:

Um, Germany the Nordic area.

Chelsea:

So yeah, getting super deep on my DNA if you wanted to know that.

Lynnette:

I did.

Lynnette:

that's so cool.

Lynnette:

And I think just having that context probably explains a little bit about your

Lynnette:

connection to all the places that you've traveled and where you wanna travel.

Lynnette:

So I'm sure we'll dig into that a little bit more.

Chelsea:

Absolutely.

Lynnette:

You just kicked off a pretty epic adventure working remotely

Lynnette:

around the world with remote year.

Lynnette:

What inspired you to take that leap?

Chelsea:

So basically for most of my twenties, I was

Chelsea:

working in corporate America.

Chelsea:

And I just remember my job was in influencer marketing.

Chelsea:

And so I would watch influencers and content creators make

Chelsea:

money from their creations.

Chelsea:

And I was like, Why am I not doing that?

Chelsea:

Like this could be my life and I know how to do that.

Chelsea:

I went to school for that.

Chelsea:

So in 2019, I quit my job and I was like, I'm gonna work remote.

Chelsea:

I'm gonna do the whole like work, wherever thing, bring my laptop anywhere

Chelsea:

to a beach, to a cafe, whatever.

Chelsea:

But unfortunately, I didn't really have a plan.

Chelsea:

I was just like, I'm moving to Australia.

Chelsea:

Uh, got there, didn't have a plan.

Chelsea:

And so I ended up working a bunch of random hospitality jobs to make ends

Chelsea:

meet and eventually the pandemic hit.

Chelsea:

And I was like, this is it.

Chelsea:

This is the time that I could start to really take whatever

Chelsea:

business ideas I have seriously.

Chelsea:

So I started playing around with different things like teaching yoga,

Chelsea:

online, teaching about mindset, manifestation, teaching about podcasting.

Chelsea:

And eventually podcasting is a thing that really stuck.

Chelsea:

And so once I figured out, okay, this is something that can sustain me.

Chelsea:

It's something I like doing.

Chelsea:

I can help people do it too.

Chelsea:

I have the results.

Chelsea:

I have the testimonials, like I don't have the fear of having

Chelsea:

to go back to a corporate job.

Chelsea:

Let me try to actually really do the remote work thing.

Chelsea:

Because again, in Australia, people are always like, well, you

Chelsea:

already worked remote in Australia.

Chelsea:

I was like, no, I worked hospitality jobs because I didn't have a plan.

Chelsea:

And I had never had my own business.

Chelsea:

And then the pandemic hit.

Chelsea:

So that was never really the vision I had in my head.

Chelsea:

So remote year, I just remember seeing it, I think, on online somewhere.

Chelsea:

And then my cousin had done it and hearing his experience.

Chelsea:

He was like, it was the best thing ever.

Chelsea:

I had the time of my life.

Chelsea:

I still talk to all the people in the program.

Chelsea:

I was like, okay.

Chelsea:

Yeah, I'm gonna do it.

Chelsea:

So, yeah, I'm on a track right now where we start in Cape town

Chelsea:

and then we go to Valencia, Spain, Lisbon, Portugal, and split Croatia.

Lynnette:

So, how do you balance?

Lynnette:

I mean, you're basically working remotely with a group of people.

Lynnette:

I mean, you could do that by yourself.

Lynnette:

So like, why are you doing this through remote year?

Chelsea:

So I did that by myself basically last year.

Chelsea:

Um, I lived in Germany, even though it wasn't remote.

Chelsea:

I still was alone working all the time, remote, like I wasn't traveling.

Chelsea:

Um, and I had my own desk.

Chelsea:

I had my own space and everything, and it was really isolating.

Chelsea:

And I saw the places where I thrived most were communities.

Chelsea:

When I really started joining memberships and online communities, I was, like,

Chelsea:

this is the missing puzzle piece that I have been missing for a very long time.

Chelsea:

So when that clicked of like, I need to be in community with people doing

Chelsea:

it in person that started translating to working remote with other people.

Chelsea:

Um, I also went on a solo trip around Europe last year and I was bopping

Chelsea:

around so much and it was exhausting trying to make new friends in every

Chelsea:

city, figuring out where to co-work trying to figure out where to eat.

Chelsea:

It was just the mental energy and decision making I had to do every day.

Chelsea:

It ended up being a trip where I was like, that was just like a

Chelsea:

lot, like, it was fun, but I don't remember it being like pleasurable.

Chelsea:

So I was like, let me try this again and do it a different way.

Chelsea:

And I will say that community element really drew me in, but also

Chelsea:

just the full service aspect of, I don't have to think of where I'm

Chelsea:

sleeping, where I'm co-working.

Chelsea:

We have city guides here that will give us any recommendations.

Chelsea:

It's almost like you're going on a retreat, but to work.

Chelsea:

So it's like, I don't need to think about all those other things.

Chelsea:

So that's really what drew me into to this specific experience.

Lynnette:

and you're only doing it for four months, even

Lynnette:

though the name is remote year.

Lynnette:

So do you have an option to like extend or do another one?

Lynnette:

Or what are your thoughts about that?

Chelsea:

so when I joined, they only had one month, four months or 12 months.

Chelsea:

And I was like, one month is way too little, 12 months is a lot.

Chelsea:

And they go literally all over the world.

Chelsea:

And I was just like, I don't know if I can commit to that.

Chelsea:

Let me give four months a shot.

Chelsea:

Um, while we were here, they rolled out a membership where you can actually do

Chelsea:

like one week, you can do one month and now you can build your own track kind of.

Chelsea:

So my track was very specific.

Chelsea:

Like you go to these specific cities.

Chelsea:

Now I could mix and match.

Chelsea:

I could go to.

Chelsea:

Japan, Peru, Chicago, like I could make up my own track.

Chelsea:

So I thought that was pretty genius.

Chelsea:

And now I definitely wanna keep extending my trip.

Chelsea:

So right now my plans are maybe Italy in November, but that could change because

Chelsea:

they have so many amazing locations.

Lynnette:

Wow.

Lynnette:

The world is literally your oyster.

Chelsea:

I know I'm like, thank you remote year.

Chelsea:

You're like they're making all my dreams come true.

Lynnette:

I love that for you.

Lynnette:

so we talked about your locational astrology map when we recorded your pod.

Lynnette:

And I know you've only been there like a week and a half,

Lynnette:

two weeks, not very long.

Lynnette:

cuz we talked literally like the day before you flew out so has anything

Lynnette:

that we talked about for Cape town struck a chord with you yet?

Lynnette:

Or are you still just kind of getting acclimated and figuring

Lynnette:

out what the heck you're doing?

Chelsea:

I'm figuring out what the heck I'm doing.

Chelsea:

I will tell you, I don't know if it's my age, the pandemic, what happened?

Chelsea:

Working remote by myself for a year, being around this many people and

Chelsea:

the socializing has wiped me out.

Chelsea:

Like I actually had to turn down plans on the weekend this

Chelsea:

year, which I've never done.

Chelsea:

I love going out on the weekends.

Chelsea:

Like I love meeting people.

Chelsea:

I love being out and about, and I had so much FOMO, but I'm like my body, my immune

Chelsea:

system, my sleep is suffering because.

Chelsea:

The the good and bad side of traveling remote is someone

Chelsea:

is always doing something.

Chelsea:

There are people, always hiking, biking, running, going to a pub, and you're

Chelsea:

like, I wanna do it all and see it all.

Chelsea:

So literally yesterday I was thinking about this where I'm like, I feel like

Chelsea:

I've been here for an entire month.

Chelsea:

Like, this is absolutely nuts.

Chelsea:

So yeah.

Chelsea:

I haven't even had a time to reflect on our conversation

Chelsea:

because I'm like, where am I?

Chelsea:

What time is it?

Chelsea:

Am I like, am I in the right place at the right time?

Chelsea:

It's a lot adjusting to this type of lifestyle.

Lynnette:

And I think when you travel more than ever, you see, like,

Lynnette:

time is just a construct, right.

Lynnette:

Because you see it expand or contract, based on like how many hours you're stuck

Lynnette:

in an airport, when it feels like it's an eternity or like, it, you feel like you've

Lynnette:

been there for a month, even though you've been there for a week and a half, but

Lynnette:

I bet the days feel really long because you're just like, there's so much to do.

Lynnette:

So I totally.

Lynnette:

Get that, like, I feel like travel.

Lynnette:

You're like, what time is it?

Lynnette:

What day is it?

Lynnette:

Where am I like who's

Lynnette:

doing what.

Chelsea:

Even when you said a week and a half, I was like,

Chelsea:

no, I've been here longer.

Chelsea:

And I'm like, no, it's literally been 10 days.

Chelsea:

But like you just said, the not only does the time zone difference, make

Chelsea:

a huge, uh, difference obviously, but then the way my days were

Chelsea:

structured are totally different now.

Chelsea:

So I do so many different things in the morning and I work later in the

Chelsea:

afternoons and even that model flipped on its head is such a different,

Chelsea:

like you just said, time construct my mind is like what's happening.

Chelsea:

So yeah, it's a lot.

Lynnette:

Well, we did talk about you feeling like this there.

Lynnette:

we talked about, you're like where there's so many plans, but like, I

Lynnette:

feel like I just want time for myself and to go take a walk or whatever.

Lynnette:

And.

Lynnette:

You know, I think it's because you have your Moon mid-heaven line there and it's

Lynnette:

kind of that balance between nurturing yourself, but also wanting to be seen.

Lynnette:

So I think that sounds like it's happening, but you

Lynnette:

already knew about that before.

Lynnette:

Like even when we talked, you were like, I don't know if I wanna like, do all

Lynnette:

these things and it seems like a lot, so

Chelsea:

Yeah, it is really Yeah.

Chelsea:

Locational astrology then was definitely spot on and I've been telling people.

Chelsea:

And it's funny because I never used to identify like this where I'm

Chelsea:

like, I feel like a hermit crab where I'm like, woo let's come outta

Chelsea:

my shell and play and have all the fun and run around in the beach.

Chelsea:

And then I'm like, boo, back into the shell.

Chelsea:

Don't wanna talk to anybody, wanna eat dinner alone, wanna watch TV alone.

Chelsea:

So yeah, it's, it's just interesting.

Chelsea:

When you're younger, you just don't think you're gonna become like this.

Chelsea:

I'm like, no, I love being around people all the time.

Chelsea:

And now I'm like, no, sorry.

Chelsea:

I'm not going to dinner.

Chelsea:

I have to be alone.

Lynnette:

I get that.

Lynnette:

I I'm the opposite, but I, I appreciate the alone time.

Lynnette:

it's my jam.

Chelsea:

I love the alone time.

Lynnette:

so you touched on this a little bit, but you have really done so much.

Lynnette:

I've been binging your podcast for the past few weeks and I'm.

Lynnette:

just picking up on each piece of your journey over the over the past few years.

Lynnette:

And I'm like, wow, she has just really done it all.

Lynnette:

I've been keeping up on your travels and like, you have worked on mindset

Lynnette:

and manifestation coaching, and then you did some yoga and then you did

Lynnette:

meditation and now you're doing podcasts and monetization and sounds like maybe

Lynnette:

you're exploring maybe some travel offerings and things like that, so

Lynnette:

what I'm super interested in talking to you about is how have you embraced

Lynnette:

this fluidity and really expansive approach in your business and your life?

Lynnette:

Because I feel like a lot of people are just like, I have to

Lynnette:

do one thing and I can't change.

Lynnette:

And for you, you've just been going with the flow and like following

Lynnette:

whatever you're gonna tell me it is that's helped guide you.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

I would say honestly, working in corporate America for six years and

Chelsea:

doing the same thing every day, over and over again, weeks after week, you

Chelsea:

know, month after month, year after year.

Chelsea:

It just really dawned on me.

Chelsea:

It was almost like this vision I will actually say, I've never

Chelsea:

really said this on a podcast.

Chelsea:

I think I'm a bit clairvoyant where I tend to like see things like I

Chelsea:

can visualize how it's gonna go or how I feel or whatever the case is.

Chelsea:

So anyway, it's side tangent.

Chelsea:

I just had this vision where I could almost see myself being 50

Chelsea:

and I'm like, This is it Chelsea?

Chelsea:

Like this is your life.

Chelsea:

You don't, there's no summer break coming back.

Chelsea:

You're not a kid anymore.

Chelsea:

Like college, spring break is not a thing.

Chelsea:

You don't get three weeks off over winter break.

Chelsea:

You don't like, that's not your life anymore.

Chelsea:

And that really started to sink in, especially when I would take my vacation.

Chelsea:

Where, you know, you bank up all your PTO and you try to take a Euro trip and you're

Chelsea:

running around three cities in 10 days.

Chelsea:

And you're like, that was it.

Chelsea:

That was the big fun of the year.

Chelsea:

And then maybe a few of the holidays, which are never that fun because

Chelsea:

you're stressed out, running around, meeting with your family and like

Chelsea:

still kind of trying to work.

Chelsea:

also.

Chelsea:

The good and bad thing that happened to me in my corporate job

Chelsea:

was I hit success really early.

Chelsea:

So I was a manager at 25.

Chelsea:

I hit the president's club where I was selling my quota.

Chelsea:

Um, every single quarter I got sent on a trip to Hawaii.

Chelsea:

And I don't say that to brag.

Chelsea:

I say that because that was something that I thought I would do when I was like 40.

Chelsea:

So to hit all that success by 25 or 26, you're kinda like.

Chelsea:

Again, this is it like you just hit this limit on this wall where I'm like,

Chelsea:

yeah, I could get promoted to director.

Chelsea:

I could make more money, but like the time that you're in this office

Chelsea:

and the vacation and the structure of this job does not change your

Chelsea:

responsibilities maybe, but that's it.

Chelsea:

And that really motivated me to be like, is this what you wanna do with your life?

Chelsea:

And often spirituality helps you make these decisions.

Chelsea:

You know, I don't know what happens when you passed away, but if, if there

Chelsea:

is a higher power or there's someone that you talk to and they're like,

Chelsea:

so what did you do with your life?

Chelsea:

Like, did you do everything you wanted to do?

Chelsea:

And I thought of myself like asking that question, it was like, No,

Chelsea:

like I wanted to travel the world.

Chelsea:

I wanted to write a book.

Chelsea:

I wanted to help so many different people.

Chelsea:

I wanted to live in different places and I wasn't doing any of that.

Chelsea:

So I knew, no, this is like, not for you, this, this, lifestyle's not for you.

Chelsea:

Um, I will say the fluidity part of like changing different jobs and, and,

Chelsea:

you know, going from yoga to mindset to podcast, coaching was not, okay, it

Chelsea:

was an easy transition for me to make.

Chelsea:

Like, I do think I'm good at cutting things off and being like,

Chelsea:

let's switch to it, but it's not always easy for me to accept it.

Chelsea:

And it's actually something I still struggle with.

Chelsea:

Like, do I seem wishy-washy is my, you know, am I confusing to people?

Chelsea:

Do people not get it?

Chelsea:

Are people, um, misunderstanding what I'm doing, but.

Chelsea:

Actually someone who really inspired me recently was glographics.

Chelsea:

I don't know if you know her on Instagram.

Chelsea:

She does the most incredible graphics.

Chelsea:

She was really instrumental during the whole civil rights movement in

Chelsea:

2020, she's been doing this kind of like life update every day.

Chelsea:

She's just doing like a post every day about her life and where she's at.

Chelsea:

And she's like, I wanna do like five different jobs throughout my life.

Chelsea:

Like, whatever I'm doing now is not what I wanna be doing in five years.

Chelsea:

And I'm.

Chelsea:

Yes.

Chelsea:

That's how I feel like I wanna live in Berlin and write a novel.

Chelsea:

I wanna live for like three months in a jungle and not speak

Chelsea:

to anyone and like create art.

Chelsea:

I wanna do podcast coaching and bop around and help everyone launch podcasts.

Chelsea:

And I think, again, when I go back to that question, if there is a

Chelsea:

higher power or something, even if your life flashes before our eyes,

Chelsea:

we've heard that we've heard people say that that actually does happen.

Chelsea:

I've seen on shows where people almost passed away and by a miracle, they

Chelsea:

came back and they're like, I literally saw my life flash before my eyes.

Chelsea:

I wanna have a colorful life full of so many experiences in people.

Chelsea:

And I knew the way I was living in corporate America

Chelsea:

was not going to offer that.

Chelsea:

So that's why it's made it easy to bop around so much

Chelsea:

because yeah, money is great.

Chelsea:

You know, being, you know, having amazing body, having a partner, whatever

Chelsea:

like that stuff to me at the end of the day is not making a colorful life.

Chelsea:

And so now that really motivates me.

Chelsea:

Am I living my most colorful life.

Chelsea:

And, and again, going back to the higher power, I don't think we

Chelsea:

were all put here to do one thing.

Chelsea:

Like why would we have all these senses and talents and thoughts and ideas if, if

Chelsea:

we were only supposed to do one thing, I actually think it's kind of crazy that a

Chelsea:

lot of us only do one thing for our whole lives, because I don't think that's how we

Chelsea:

were actually meant to be here on earth.

Chelsea:

Woo.

Chelsea:

Lot motivational speech.

Lynnette:

I loved it.

Lynnette:

And I'm glad I got the exclusive that you think you're a little clairvoyant

Chelsea:

I'm

Lynnette:

Has that played into these shifts that you made in

Lynnette:

terms of like changing from the mindset to yoga to podcasting.

Lynnette:

Like, do you have a spidey sense?

Lynnette:

Do you tap into your intuition?

Lynnette:

What has guided you in, in those changes?

Lynnette:

In spite of the fear worrying about being wishy-washy.

Chelsea:

I think what helps me make those decisions to transition

Chelsea:

is I start to really future cast of like, where is this going?

Chelsea:

And what's the next level and how is it gonna feel?

Chelsea:

And I, with yoga specifically, um, I jump into things fast.

Chelsea:

Like I don't, I'm very impulsive and that's something I've learned to like

Chelsea:

slow down and maybe take a little more time thinking things through.

Chelsea:

But with yoga, I was like, boom.

Chelsea:

Don't care.

Chelsea:

We're starting to teach online.

Chelsea:

I like switched my, I used to have a Facebook group that

Chelsea:

was about something else.

Chelsea:

And I was like, it's becoming a yoga group.

Chelsea:

I'm teaching yoga, da, da, da.

Chelsea:

And then I started almost being a little delusional about it, where I

Chelsea:

was like, this is gonna be an app.

Chelsea:

Like I'm gonna create an yoga app where people are gonna learn.

Chelsea:

I was talking to app builders.

Chelsea:

I was talking to PR teams to try to get me in magazine.

Chelsea:

Like I was a little bit crazy during the pandemic , which I kinda love.

Chelsea:

Cause I'm like, you have to be a little crazy to, to have really big dreams, but.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

I was like, because of that.

Chelsea:

It started to really play out like, wait a second.

Chelsea:

Chelsea let's really think about the day to day of running a yoga app.

Chelsea:

Do you know how much content you're gonna have to put in an app?

Chelsea:

How many videos you're gonna have to shoot?

Chelsea:

How much money you would have to spend on video production, building an app.

Chelsea:

And I think that's something I'm good at is really thinking about the steps.

Chelsea:

And I was like, Not only does that sound like a lot.

Chelsea:

My body was getting actually pretty burnt out from even

Chelsea:

teaching yoga three times a week.

Chelsea:

And I also had private clients.

Chelsea:

So I was like, I don't even think I'm physically ready to, to do

Chelsea:

that level of commitment to yoga.

Chelsea:

So with that specifically, I was like, It also made me realize

Chelsea:

it was taking something I loved and trying to monetize it.

Chelsea:

And I realized I didn't need to do that with everything in my life.

Chelsea:

I always had loved yoga to decompress, meditate, stretch.

Chelsea:

I had, you know, it was always like a, an alone time thing.

Chelsea:

And then all of a sudden trying to turn it into this big production and

Chelsea:

we're gonna make an app and we're gonna teach, we're gonna go live

Chelsea:

and, you know, plazas and do yoga.

Chelsea:

It.

Chelsea:

No, like that's not what I wanted to be.

Chelsea:

So that was pretty easy to transition out of because of how quick I was going

Chelsea:

with the process and then mindset, manifestation stuff I loved doing in

Chelsea:

the beginning because I could see very quick transformations of my clients.

Chelsea:

And I could just see, you know, that light bulb go off and it's, it's what

Chelsea:

you hope as a coach to help people with is I wanna see them make that progress

Chelsea:

from a to B and that would always happen.

Chelsea:

But what I started realizing is.

Chelsea:

Because coaching is unregulated and mindset is such a broad topic.

Chelsea:

There were definitely a lot of clients coming to me that were more

Chelsea:

candidates for legitimate therapy.

Chelsea:

And I ended up taking a course about the difference between

Chelsea:

mindset, coaching and therapy.

Chelsea:

And I was like, wow.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

A lot of my clients actually deal with real depression or anxiety.

Chelsea:

I'm not trained to do that.

Chelsea:

I was using my own life experience and a few courses I

Chelsea:

had taken to, to be coaching.

Chelsea:

And I realized I was bringing on a lot of people that, again, I don't, I wasn't

Chelsea:

necessarily like qualified to be helping.

Chelsea:

and Emotionally.

Chelsea:

It was a lot.

Chelsea:

It was people coming to me about losing weight, breaking up their partner, having

Chelsea:

the baby, wanting to quit their job.

Chelsea:

And I'm like, this is just too much emotional overload for me.

Chelsea:

Like I am a sensitive person and quickly about after a year,

Chelsea:

I was like, this is just not.

Chelsea:

Working anymore.

Chelsea:

And again, going back to the future casting, I was like, okay, how, if you're

Chelsea:

scaling this the way it's gonna get bigger is you're just gonna be helping

Chelsea:

more people are at a higher level.

Chelsea:

You're already doing this and you're a little burnt out.

Chelsea:

Imagine if this gets bigger.

Chelsea:

And I think that again is what drives me.

Chelsea:

So yeah, that I, this is a long answer to your question, but I think really thinking

Chelsea:

about the day to day and the work.

Chelsea:

is what drives me of like, what am I actually gonna be doing every day

Chelsea:

to see that vision come to life?

Chelsea:

Is it fun?

Chelsea:

Does it feel good?

Chelsea:

Can I mentally, emotionally, physically, you know, have

Chelsea:

the bandwidth to handle that?

Chelsea:

Okay, then yes, let's get it going.

Chelsea:

Otherwise.

Chelsea:

It's it does come down to like, do I feel good?

Chelsea:

Do I make my clients feel good?

Chelsea:

Do I like doing this?

Chelsea:

Do they like hanging out with me in this container then?

Chelsea:

Yes, let's do it.

Chelsea:

Um, so yeah, that's a long answer to your question.

Lynnette:

Well, I've been dying to ask you this last question.

Lynnette:

Before we dive into Astrological stuff.

Lynnette:

I know the theme has been about transformation, but

Lynnette:

on your podcast cover art.

Lynnette:

There's a big green snake.

Lynnette:

and I know what I think that means, but it's your podcast cover art.

Lynnette:

So why the snake?

Chelsea:

Oh, my gosh.

Chelsea:

I was so, uh, motivated, not motivated, inspired by the

Chelsea:

snake symbol when I was in Bali.

Chelsea:

So I had my, when I quit my job, I literally did the eat, pray, love thing.

Chelsea:

I went and did my yoga training in Bali.

Chelsea:

I was there for a month.

Chelsea:

I didn't work for like two more months and I was just like bopping around Australia.

Chelsea:

And it was really in Bali where I started to see how conditioned I was, about, you

Chelsea:

know, being a hard worker and sacrifice.

Chelsea:

And, you know, you're only the best when you make it to the top and make

Chelsea:

this much money and have this type of body and so much about status.

Chelsea:

And when I was in Bali, hanging out with the people there.

Chelsea:

My yoga group was very diverse.

Chelsea:

We had people from all over and I was fortunate enough to have people in that

Chelsea:

group that were very direct and honest with me, where they would just be like,

Chelsea:

oh, I think it's a little ego driven.

Chelsea:

Or like, you know, you're always talking about like, I was complaining

Chelsea:

about the logistics of the program and they're like, we're in Bali.

Chelsea:

Like we're on island time.

Chelsea:

Like.

Chelsea:

Relax, we're not in a corporate office having to jump on a zoom meeting at four.

Chelsea:

And I was like, wow.

Chelsea:

Yeah, they're right.

Chelsea:

And it was during that experience where I noticed my relationship with spirituality

Chelsea:

changed and I started going to, you know, cacao ceremonies and, um, prayer

Chelsea:

circles and all these different things.

Chelsea:

And there was so much like shedding from me releasing.

Chelsea:

And I was like, I literally feel like I'm shedding skin and

Chelsea:

I'm just constantly shedding.

Chelsea:

And there's like a new layer to uncover.

Chelsea:

And obviously the animal associated with shedding is a snake.

Chelsea:

And then I looked up the meaning and it means like power

Chelsea:

and fertility and rebirth.

Chelsea:

And again, the symbolism of it constantly sheds its skin.

Chelsea:

It resonated with me so much.

Chelsea:

I was like, that's how I feel.

Chelsea:

I feel like I am constantly shutting my skin and I don't think that's gonna stop.

Chelsea:

So I ended up getting a tattoo on my arm.

Chelsea:

Funny story.

Chelsea:

I drew it myself and the tattoo artist said it looked like a sperm.

Chelsea:

So I.

Chelsea:

I said, okay, nevermind.

Chelsea:

You should draw it.

Chelsea:

So he ended up drawing it.

Chelsea:

So I do not have a sperm on my arm.

Chelsea:

If you see me, it is a snake.

Chelsea:

Um, and then yeah, I wanted that to be really part of the symbolism

Chelsea:

in my work, because as you said, I, I think that's something.

Chelsea:

As I get older and it kind of ties back to the conversation we're having of embracing

Chelsea:

the fluidity instead of trying to, um, stick to one thing and be known as one

Chelsea:

thing I want to be known as someone that always evolves and is shedding their skin

Chelsea:

and like, yeah, you expect me to change in a few years and maybe even a few months.

Chelsea:

And I think that's why I wanted the symbolism to be so clear

Chelsea:

on my cover art and my body

Lynnette:

Yes.

Lynnette:

Snakes, not sperm.

Chelsea:

yes.

Chelsea:

Snakes, non sperm, dear God.

Chelsea:

Thank

Lynnette:

I know when you said you drew it yourself.

Lynnette:

I was like, well, if I drew mine, it would just be like a squiggly line.

Lynnette:

like, I, I have

Chelsea:

And he was, he was, like, uh, what do you want on your arm?

Lynnette:

Whatever you draw for me.

Lynnette:

Well, I was so like cuz the snake, I think the first thing people

Lynnette:

think of is transformation, shedding the skin, all of that symbolism.

Lynnette:

but it's a very Scorpio, animal Scorpio, uh, trait and well not a Scorpio.

Lynnette:

Scorpios aren't snakes, they're scorpions, but , but immediately I

Lynnette:

just went to your chart and I was like, what did she have in Scorpio?

Lynnette:

And you have Pluto in Scorpio, which is it's happy place.

Lynnette:

Pluto is the modern ruler Scorpio.

Lynnette:

And it's in your third house, which I thought was really relevant

Lynnette:

because Pluto moves so slowly.

Lynnette:

It's a generational placement.

Lynnette:

So pretty much everyone around your age has Pluto in Scorpio.

Lynnette:

But your third house is about communication and community.

Lynnette:

And so that immediately resonated with me because.

Lynnette:

That's what you've been doing for the past however many years,

Lynnette:

you've been transforming yourself, transforming how you communicate

Lynnette:

and helping others do that.

Lynnette:

Same thing, which I know you're a reflector in, human design, but I think

Lynnette:

those tie together because really the Plutonian energy of adapting, um, and

Lynnette:

transforming, and you have a sextile to the Moon that connects to your ability to

Lynnette:

adapt to any energy that's around you and to like actually tap into the emotional

Lynnette:

depths that sometimes people aren't super comfortable with and like a reflector

Lynnette:

needs that ability in order to be able to actually reflect back to the remaining 99%

Lynnette:

of the population kind of what's going on.

Lynnette:

So I just thought that was super cool.

Lynnette:

And I'm glad to hear your take on the snake as well because, obviously, my first

Lynnette:

thing is like, oh, what's in the chart.

Lynnette:

Um, but what you just said, really validates that.

Chelsea:

Oh, I love that.

Chelsea:

And I will say too learning about my human design helped me accept the

Chelsea:

fluidity a little more because yeah.

Chelsea:

Reflectors are known.

Chelsea:

I think my, my blurb literally says like, I'm a shapeshifter, or the chameleon.

Chelsea:

And I'm like, okay.

Chelsea:

So I'm not crazy.

Chelsea:

Like, it almost feels like I'm supposed to be living this way.

Chelsea:

And that's why I love astrology too.

Chelsea:

And birth chart readings like yours hearing this stuff is

Chelsea:

like, yeah, this makes sense.

Chelsea:

it's just hard when you live in a society that values, you know,

Chelsea:

staying in one place for a long time, committing to one thing, being rewarded

Chelsea:

for the tenure at your company.

Chelsea:

And that's something I've had to very actively try and decondition from,

Chelsea:

but as astrology and human design helps me be like, yeah, I'm not crazy.

Lynnette:

Yeah, it's a really powerful tool for validation.

Lynnette:

I don't remember if we talked about it, I think that the skeptics or people

Lynnette:

who, you know, don't think it's real and stuff, think it's fortune telling.

Lynnette:

And like, we pull out our crystal ball and we tell you what's gonna happen

Lynnette:

next week or next month or next year.

Lynnette:

but really whether it's astrology or human design or engram or any of

Lynnette:

those things are just tools for self understanding and self exploration.

Lynnette:

And

Chelsea:

I love them.

Chelsea:

Obsessed.

Lynnette:

So Chelsea, since it's It's Astrological, I know, you know, your

Lynnette:

Sun, Moon and rising, what are they?

Chelsea:

I'm an Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Virgo rising.

Lynnette:

and we both have the same Sun and rising, which I think is very cool.

Lynnette:

So I definitely relate to a lot of the things that you talk about.

Lynnette:

how do you feel about those?

Lynnette:

Does any one resonate with you more than another or less?

Chelsea:

My Aquarius Sun resonates with me heavily.

Chelsea:

I, whenever I read it, I'm like, this is me.

Chelsea:

I feel innovative.

Chelsea:

I feel rebellious.

Chelsea:

I feel disruptive.

Chelsea:

I feel free spirited.

Chelsea:

Um, like I.

Chelsea:

Sometimes over identify with my Aquarius Sun, where I'm like, I just

Chelsea:

look full on Aquarius forgetting that all these other parts of me exist.

Chelsea:

I will say the more I learn about my Moon and rising, they, they start to resonate.

Chelsea:

But what's interesting.

Chelsea:

And I remember actually asking you in one of your card pulls, um, that you

Chelsea:

did on your Instagram stories is I was like, I almost feel like Aquarius and

Chelsea:

Virgo are opposing energies in a way.

Chelsea:

And so having the Virgo Moon and rising, you know, your mind just starts to be

Chelsea:

like, wait, I'm more Virgo than Aquarius.

Chelsea:

Like I don't really relate to that.

Chelsea:

So it's interesting because, yeah, sometimes I'm like, is that me?

Chelsea:

And then when you have birth chart reading, and you know, you identify

Chelsea:

where the placements are and the house, et cetera, it starts to make sense.

Chelsea:

But it is something that I still am kind of like, Hmm.

Chelsea:

How does my Aquarius, Sun and Virgo, Moon, and rising all relate to each other.

Lynnette:

Mm-hmm . Yeah.

Lynnette:

And I think what a lot of people talking about conditioning, when

Lynnette:

it comes to astrology, people are automatically like sun sign.

Lynnette:

This is what I am.

Lynnette:

This is who I am.

Lynnette:

And.

Lynnette:

We're our whole chart.

Lynnette:

We have every sign in us.

Lynnette:

We have every planet in us.

Lynnette:

So I think that's part of the reason why it's important to, to learn about your

Lynnette:

birth chart in astrology in general.

Lynnette:

but I was the opposite.

Lynnette:

Like I very much identified with my Virgo rising and I

Lynnette:

was like, I'm a rule follower.

Lynnette:

I'm not a rebel.

Lynnette:

like everything that you just said.

Lynnette:

I was like, I'm opposite.

Lynnette:

And it wasn't until my thirties that I started to tap into that Sun sign.

Lynnette:

So I think we grow into our charts over our entire lifetime.

Lynnette:

So that's part of our journey of like self discovery is figuring out.

Lynnette:

What is this part of me and how do I relate to it?

Lynnette:

And how does it relate to my Aquarius Sun, especially because

Lynnette:

of that conditioning where you're just like, that's me, that's me.

Lynnette:

That's me.

Lynnette:

That's my identity.

Lynnette:

Like how have you started to kind of dip your toe into

Lynnette:

bringing those energies together?

Chelsea:

Well, I know for sure, being an Aqua Sun and I also, by the way,

Chelsea:

I, I know you have my chart pulled up, but, um, I believe I have a stellium

Chelsea:

in the sixth house in Capricorn and then my north node's Capricorn.

Chelsea:

And so whenever I get birth chart readings, that's something that pops up

Chelsea:

a lot too, that people are like, you.

Chelsea:

Major Capricorn energy.

Chelsea:

And that wasn't even on my radar until like a year or two ago.

Chelsea:

And so what's been interesting is I've started to really, um, embrace the

Chelsea:

grounding energy of Virgo because I am, this is something that I think really

Chelsea:

relates with me with my Aquarius sun sign.

Chelsea:

I'm very airy.

Chelsea:

and I'm always in my head.

Chelsea:

I'm like constantly in my head.

Chelsea:

It actually is what keeps me up at night.

Chelsea:

I have a really hard time sleeping.

Chelsea:

I'm always just thinking of new ideas and big picture and philosophical questions.

Chelsea:

And it's really hard for me to get out of that head space a lot.

Chelsea:

And so when I read more about, you know, the Virgo energy and.

Chelsea:

Grounding and earthing and the, um, earth elements.

Chelsea:

It's something to remind me of.

Chelsea:

Like, yes, you need that.

Chelsea:

Especially I think with my body, I think it's something I've learned

Chelsea:

over the years of I need like grounding physical practices.

Chelsea:

I need to be doing restorative yoga.

Chelsea:

I need to be walking.

Chelsea:

I need to be slowing down.

Chelsea:

So that's something I've really started to take into account

Chelsea:

more as I've gotten older.

Chelsea:

And then with Capricorn, I'm still.

Chelsea:

Rectifying my relationship with, um, work specifically because I'm like, I

Chelsea:

feel like Capricorn's stereotypically are like the workhorse of the Zodiac

Chelsea:

and, um, you know, especially having a north node stellium in there, you're

Chelsea:

kind of like, oh my gosh, am I just like, meant to work my whole life and be this

Chelsea:

like almost overly ambitious person.

Chelsea:

And there, there are some times, and you know, this is.

Chelsea:

Air air head.

Chelsea:

I like to call it always thinking about this, um, of like maybe my

Chelsea:

purpose in life is my career and maybe it's not family and other things like

Chelsea:

that, but it's something that, um, again, birth chart readings, help me

Chelsea:

understand a little bit more about it.

Chelsea:

And maybe we can even talk about it on this show because it's

Chelsea:

something that I'm still like, oh my God, what does this mean?

Lynnette:

Yeah, you mentioned your sixth house and the house systems are a

Lynnette:

big, controversial topic in astrology.

Lynnette:

just for anyone listening and for you Chelsea, like I say, go with the one that

Lynnette:

resonates with you, but know that like you can move back and forth between whole

Lynnette:

sign, porphyry, like there's like 200 different ways to break up the houses.

Lynnette:

I usually start with whole sign houses just because my Virgo brain

Lynnette:

likes how clean and simple it is.

Lynnette:

but in, in your whole sign chart, your entire Capricorn stellium

Lynnette:

is actually in the fifth house.

Lynnette:

And the fifth house is the house of creativity.

Lynnette:

fertility, perhaps if you look at in either with the physical

Lynnette:

or the creative way, the house of play, so oftentimes you can see.

Lynnette:

Like where there might be a tension between Capricorn's desire to work

Lynnette:

and the creative, fun, playful, childlike, fifth house themes.

Lynnette:

but in the highest fusion of those two energies, that to

Lynnette:

me says your work can be play.

Lynnette:

Like your work can be fun and.

Lynnette:

Exactly to me, at least from the outside, what you're doing.

Lynnette:

so when I look at your chart and I see all of that Capricorn, including your north

Lynnette:

node in that fifth house, it sounds to me like, like you're living your chart,

Lynnette:

like you're living your soul's blueprint

Lynnette:

already.

Chelsea:

Oh, I love that.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

I think when I hear it in that context too, like work is play like

Chelsea:

that is something, even though it's, you don't have to think of them as

Chelsea:

opposing or constricting concepts.

Chelsea:

Um, and I think that's something even on this trip, I'm realizing,

Chelsea:

because I told you the time zone difference changed everything.

Chelsea:

So in the mornings I'm waking up super slow.

Chelsea:

I'm like walking, I'm working out hiking, doing something, going on

Chelsea:

a tour and then eating lunch, like taking my sweet time basically.

Chelsea:

And I don't even start work until two or three.

Chelsea:

And historically that would've made me feel like, what are you doing?

Chelsea:

You're so lazy.

Chelsea:

Like, why are you not working at 9:00 AM?

Chelsea:

And it's like, That's not the point.

Chelsea:

Like it actually is to be re-energized and rejuvenated for my work.

Chelsea:

And downtime does not mean wasting time.

Chelsea:

Like downtime is actually my time to think and reflect and connect the dots.

Chelsea:

A lot of what I do is strategy and creative work.

Chelsea:

And so I'm like, I need that time away from my laptop to connect the dots.

Chelsea:

So I think you saying that out loud, really validates, like.

Chelsea:

Yes, this downtime and the play that I'm having, it actually reflects

Chelsea:

a lot in the work that I'm doing.

Chelsea:

So thank you for that insight.

Lynnette:

You're welcome.

Lynnette:

And I think it all just goes back to our programming.

Lynnette:

Right.

Lynnette:

And I have also been in corporate America.

Lynnette:

I still am.

Lynnette:

And it's just like, I'm deprogramming from a previous job that was pretty toxic.

Lynnette:

And the place I work now is like just do your work and

Lynnette:

like have unlimited time off.

Lynnette:

And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Lynnette:

Like , are you sure?

Lynnette:

I don't have to start at

Chelsea:

You're like,

Lynnette:

time and like do all of this stuff.

Lynnette:

Yeah.

Lynnette:

And I think, you know, you're an expander for me in terms of how you even just,

Lynnette:

what you said is like very flexible.

Lynnette:

You're like, okay, I am still.

Lynnette:

Deprogramming from like starting at nine and not feeling lazy.

Lynnette:

And I can start my day at two o'clock and I still, I think you just sent

Lynnette:

an email or maybe a pod episode.

Lynnette:

I saw it somewhere where you were like, why do we work 40 hours a week?

Lynnette:

And it's like, that is a great question.

Lynnette:

Like who said that, that is, like what we need to

Chelsea:

So random, like I still don't get it.

Chelsea:

Like, it is the most random number and construct that we all just

Chelsea:

follow and it it's wild to me.

Lynnette:

I feel like it's like factory hours.

Lynnette:

Like it's like, you can make so many widgets in an eight hour day, but

Lynnette:

like we aren't making widgets anymore.

Lynnette:

And so who cares?

Chelsea:

Exactly.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

And it's funny, cuz that the thing that you're talking about, there was actually

Chelsea:

a video that came with that was that, um, we started working 40 hours a week cuz

Chelsea:

Henry Ford realized that people weren't buying cars and he switched the workers

Chelsea:

to start working the five days a week.

Chelsea:

And so on the weekends, people could spend money and go buy the cars.

Chelsea:

So.

Chelsea:

It's interesting, cuz it made me even think of like consumerism of

Chelsea:

like, yeah, we spend our weekends usually like shopping or trying to

Chelsea:

go buy something or spending all our money that we just worked for.

Chelsea:

And so that really opened my eyes because I was like, this is even more

Chelsea:

motivating to not set up my schedule to be this like grinding Monday

Chelsea:

through Friday nine to five thing.

Chelsea:

If I don't have to.

Lynnette:

I think that aspect of consumerism is something that's been

Lynnette:

really top of mind for me lately.

Lynnette:

My birthday was in February, so it was yours and ever since then,

Lynnette:

I've just felt like I want to.

Lynnette:

Get rid of everything.

Lynnette:

Like I wanna declutter, I feel like I have too much stuff.

Lynnette:

I have like visions of how many times I've brought things into my

Lynnette:

apartment, but haven't taken things out.

Lynnette:

like, it's just been this like perpetual thing.

Lynnette:

So I'm really thinking in terms of the consumerism and how much I'm consuming,

Lynnette:

whether it's actual stuff, whether it's.

Lynnette:

Groceries that I end up throwing out because it goes bad in the

Lynnette:

fridge, whether it's, you know, clothes or Instagram content, like

Lynnette:

everything that I am consuming.

Lynnette:

And I'm really trying to focus on curating instead of consuming,

Lynnette:

like what brings me joy?

Lynnette:

What inspires me, what is nourishing my body.

Lynnette:

Like whatever those things are.

Lynnette:

And I think it's just so.

Lynnette:

I don't like the 40 hour week either.

Lynnette:

and everything that you're talking about helps us with that perspective shift,

Lynnette:

um, to just be more conscientious.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

And like understanding being at your laptop, doesn't

Chelsea:

actually mean you're working.

Chelsea:

That's something that I had to actively again, deprogram from even recently,

Chelsea:

it was like, just cause I'm on my laptop doesn't mean I'm doing anything.

Chelsea:

It's, it's just the conditioning for my work where you did have

Chelsea:

to be like active on slack.

Chelsea:

You did have to be emailing people in.

Chelsea:

It was a very specific period and that's something that doesn't go

Chelsea:

away when you become a business owner, you have to remember.

Chelsea:

Wait, I'm not being like surveillanced.

Chelsea:

Like I can actually make my own hours and it's something I think

Chelsea:

a lot of us struggle with is like, wait, you're telling me no, one's

Chelsea:

gonna ask for a report or like a status update at the end of the day.

Chelsea:

Oh my God.

Chelsea:

So it's something I'm still getting comfortable with.

Lynnette:

Well, and you've been doing this for a while and , it's

Lynnette:

still habits that you're like thinking about and, and breaking.

Lynnette:

So that's,

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

And like the travel actually helps.

Chelsea:

It kind of reinforces that.

Chelsea:

It's like, if I wake up and start working at nine, it

Chelsea:

almost, it doesn't really matter.

Chelsea:

Like none of my clients are even awake yet.

Chelsea:

Yes.

Chelsea:

I could get ahead of things, but I'm like, no, I'd rather spend the

Chelsea:

morning doing whatever I wanna do.

Chelsea:

It's not really important to wake up early.

Chelsea:

So that's something that I think travel.

Chelsea:

It almost puts me in those circumstances where I'm like, oh, sorry.

Chelsea:

My different time zone can't help you.

Lynnette:

yeah.

Lynnette:

Why would you wanna sit at your computer working or not working?

Lynnette:

when none of your clients are awake and you're in a new place that

Lynnette:

you wanna explore and get to know

Chelsea:

Exactly.

Lynnette:

doesn't make any sense.

Lynnette:

Okay.

Lynnette:

We took a tangent, um, Astrologically speaking.

Lynnette:

is there anything about astrology that you're skeptical about?

Chelsea:

Ooh, skeptical.

Chelsea:

Mm it's not really skeptical more of a question where I'm always like who made

Chelsea:

up all the energies, like who decided that the Aquarius was the rebellious,

Chelsea:

disruptive innovator who decided that Pisces was the dreamy floaty.

Chelsea:

You know what I mean?

Chelsea:

I'm always like, who decided it?

Chelsea:

Why are we listening to them?

Chelsea:

Like, that's something, I think maybe it's a little bit of the Aquarius energy.

Chelsea:

That's like what says, who, like, I, I think that a lot where I'm

Chelsea:

like what, and even the planets of like, why is Jupiter expansion?

Chelsea:

Why is Saturn contraction?

Chelsea:

Like literally who decided that it's something that often is in my mind.

Lynnette:

I love this question so much because it's like the elephant in the room

Lynnette:

that nobody's actually thinking about.

Lynnette:

like, you're just like Jupiter expansion.

Lynnette:

Okay.

Lynnette:

Um, I was just looking, cuz I'm reading a book right now called the archetypal

Lynnette:

cosmos, which talks a lot about, Jung's work and quantum physics and brings

Lynnette:

together all of these very big ideas and how they relate to astrology.

Lynnette:

So I literally, like I highlight as I read and I've used a whole pen and

Lynnette:

I'm still not done with the book.

Lynnette:

Like it's so packed with just like tons of information, and another reason why

Lynnette:

astrology resonates with me so much is that it's oftentimes so literal.

Lynnette:

So as you learn about the outer planets that were discovered, starting in like

Lynnette:

the thirties, um, well Pluto's in the thirties, but like Uranus, Neptune Pluto.

Lynnette:

These planets were named and astrologically, nobody

Lynnette:

really knew much about them.

Lynnette:

But then during the time that they were discovered, like Pluto is discovered

Lynnette:

during world war and, like all of those things that are death destruction,

Lynnette:

transformation as you learn about these planetary discoveries in quote

Lynnette:

unquote, the modern age, you see that the time that they were discovered,

Lynnette:

reflects their characteristic.

Lynnette:

And then the names that were chosen for them arbitrarily by astronomers, right?

Lynnette:

Who most astronomers don't believe in astrology actually

Lynnette:

reflect the nature of that planet.

Lynnette:

So that's a rabbit hole to go down if you're interested in that,

Chelsea:

I will be late.

Chelsea:

night Googling that.

Lynnette:

yeah.

Lynnette:

but even the planets themselves, like Saturn is the furthest most

Lynnette:

visible planet with the naked eye.

Lynnette:

And Saturn is the boundary, between the, the inner planets and the outer planets

Lynnette:

and Saturn has the rings around it.

Lynnette:

So, you know, there's another element of boundaries and limits.

Lynnette:

So.

Lynnette:

there's no one person though is like, this is this.

Lynnette:

That is that.

Lynnette:

But as you start to learn more about actually the history and the associations

Lynnette:

with them again, it's just validation that like, oh, this just is like, this

Lynnette:

is both a physical expression of whatever that planetary energy is or whatever.

Lynnette:

But then that metaphysical part just kind of falls right into place because that's

Lynnette:

one of the reasons why astrology works.

Chelsea:

I love that.

Chelsea:

That's so interesting about like them being named around the

Chelsea:

times that they were discovered.

Chelsea:

And like you said, the actual representation of

Chelsea:

like what they look like.

Chelsea:

That makes so much sense.

Lynnette:

it's super cool.

Lynnette:

And many rabbit holes, many books, all of that stuff, if anyone's interested,

Lynnette:

but, I will think more about it too, to talk about it on the pod, maybe.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

Cause I'm like that always pops up in my mind.

Chelsea:

Cuz every time I read the Chani app, it is spot on with my Astrological

Chelsea:

insights and I'll tell my family, I'm like, oh my God, like you guys need

Chelsea:

get this app and read it, da, da, da.

Chelsea:

And they're the ones that are super skeptic.

Chelsea:

Like.

Chelsea:

What are you talking about?

Chelsea:

You know what I mean?

Chelsea:

It's like you said, astrology, like, it can't tell my future da,

Chelsea:

da, like they don't understand.

Chelsea:

And it always makes me think they're definitely the ones that

Chelsea:

would be like, who made it up?

Chelsea:

Who said this was that?

Chelsea:

And it's kind like the devil on my shoulder.

Chelsea:

I feel like it's their voices sometimes.

Lynnette:

I mean, it's been validated over like thousands of years.

Lynnette:

So if you start to stack up the information and I know there are a lot

Lynnette:

of like heavy hitters in the astrology world who are saying that within the next.

Lynnette:

2 5, 10 years.

Lynnette:

Like NASA's probably gonna come out at some point and be like, oh, this

Lynnette:

one piece in astronomy actually ties to this one piece in astrology.

Lynnette:

So they won't like validate that all of astrology works, but there will be,

Lynnette:

there will start to be more scientific evidence behind astrology, especially

Lynnette:

as it relates to quantum physics.

Chelsea:

My God.

Chelsea:

Huh?

Chelsea:

It's got chills.

Chelsea:

Actually.

Chelsea:

I'm like, that's so exciting.

Chelsea:

Cause I just saw

Lynnette:

It's really

Chelsea:

NASA just released like all photos of like all these

Chelsea:

galaxies and you're just like, oh my God, there is so much out there.

Lynnette:

And like, we only talk about the main, like 10 planets luminaries.

Lynnette:

I mean, there are thousands of asteroids that we could look at in people's charts.

Chelsea:

Oh, my God.

Chelsea:

That's wild to think about.

Lynnette:

I know, I know.

Lynnette:

And so cool.

Lynnette:

I love it.

Lynnette:

I get so excited.

Lynnette:

Um, let's move on to the, not so rapid fire question section.

Lynnette:

Take your time.

Chelsea:

love it.

Lynnette:

okay, Chelsea, do you consider yourself to be more of

Lynnette:

an introvert or an extrovert?

Chelsea:

Oh, my gosh lately, I told you introverted.

Chelsea:

I'm like, this is a recent discovery.

Chelsea:

So, and I mean introverted and like, I get my energy from being alone.

Chelsea:

Like, I need that decompression, but when you meet me, I don't

Chelsea:

think people would say introverted.

Chelsea:

Cause I think people confuse that with being shy or quiet.

Chelsea:

Um, so I'm like, I think I come off as an extrovert.

Chelsea:

I'm very social and outgoing, but I recharge by being alone.

Lynnette:

And you have a fair amount of planets under the horizon, which.

Lynnette:

Like very broadly, a symbol that people are more connected to their inner world.

Lynnette:

Um, and I think it's really interesting that you're kind of exploring, cuz

Lynnette:

you're a little heavier on the bottom of your chart, but you do have a fair

Lynnette:

amount, so you're pretty balanced, but that also gives you the opportunity

Lynnette:

to kind of play with that and see what resonates with you at any given time.

Chelsea:

Oh, my gosh.

Chelsea:

That's actually really good to know too, because I had this thought the

Chelsea:

other day, sorry, a little tangent where I'm like, oh my God, I feel

Chelsea:

like I'm in my inner world so much.

Chelsea:

Like I wonder in my life, if this will ever turn off, like,

Chelsea:

will, will I ever stop having all of these thoughts all the time?

Chelsea:

And it's again, kind validating be like, maybe, maybe not me.

Chelsea:

Not.

Lynnette:

No.

Lynnette:

I mean, your Capricorn stellium is below the horizon.

Lynnette:

Your Sun is below the horizon.

Lynnette:

Your Moon is . You've got.

Chelsea:

A lot going on.

Lynnette:

You're meant to be in your inner world.

Chelsea:

This is good news.

Lynnette:

Yes.

Lynnette:

what would you say is your superpower?

Chelsea:

Ooh.

Chelsea:

I would say.

Chelsea:

Um, taking complex information and making it easy to digest, which I

Chelsea:

think is what strategists are good at.

Chelsea:

I feel like, um, that's why podcast coaching really has stuck at something

Chelsea:

that I love doing, because I can tell people get really stuck in their ideas.

Chelsea:

And like, I just don't see how this makes sense or like, how am I gonna

Chelsea:

have an episode in six months?

Chelsea:

I don't understand.

Chelsea:

And I feel like my superpower is being like, I can see this perfectly.

Chelsea:

And maybe it is a little bit of that clairvoyant thing

Chelsea:

where I'm like, I literally.

Chelsea:

See it, like, I it's easy for me to map out and I can come up with a custom

Chelsea:

game plan for them in like 20 minutes.

Chelsea:

And I think that's something that in the past, I, I didn't really value.

Chelsea:

I was like, oh, everyone has that.

Chelsea:

And it wasn't until recently where someone's like, no, not everyone has that.

Chelsea:

Like a lot of people don't have that gift.

Chelsea:

And so it's something I'm starting to embrace of.

Chelsea:

Like, I love that I can take complex ideas and I always think.

Chelsea:

Would a kindergartner be able to understand this, like, if this is your

Chelsea:

first time seeing or hearing this piece of content, would it make sense for you?

Chelsea:

And that's something it's like a filter.

Chelsea:

I constantly run my teachings through.

Chelsea:

And so I think that helps a lot when I teach is.

Chelsea:

Is this easy to understand, which I think makes it more than easy to comprehend and

Chelsea:

for people to actually go do the thing.

Chelsea:

Cause it's like my nightmare.

Chelsea:

If someone takes a course or class of mine and then like, didn't use any of

Chelsea:

the information, they're like, I didn't learn anything or do anything with it.

Chelsea:

I'm like that was a waste of time for everyone then.

Chelsea:

So I really like to make sure to make complex information digestible and easy.

Lynnette:

Well, and I think that's a really beautiful expression of your

Lynnette:

Aquarius Sun and your Virgo placements, because Aquarius is able to see the

Lynnette:

big picture to understand those big complex ideas, but then your Virgo

Lynnette:

rising and your Virgo Moon is like, well, your Moon especially is like,

Lynnette:

okay, I wanna make this like nurturing and supportive and all those things.

Lynnette:

But all of that Virgo energy is very practical and, wants to

Lynnette:

actually like break it down in a way that's easy to understand.

Chelsea:

Yes.

Chelsea:

Someone asked me that like six months ago and I explained it that way.

Chelsea:

So I'm glad to hear, I explained it the right way.

Chelsea:

I was like, I feel like they it's like I get the big picture and

Chelsea:

then I can make a plan for you very practically and logically focused.

Lynnette:

You got it.

Lynnette:

That's perfect.

Lynnette:

What is your dream travel destination.

Lynnette:

And is it in the next four months?

Chelsea:

Oh, yeah.

Chelsea:

I was like, uh, might be coming up, um, in Spain.

Chelsea:

I mean, I just love Spain.

Chelsea:

I wanna live there.

Chelsea:

We talked about that on my podcast.

Chelsea:

I'm just obsessed with it.

Chelsea:

And so like, pretty much anywhere in Spain is always a dream, but I

Chelsea:

will actually say like, A place.

Chelsea:

I definitely wanna go before I die is Tokyo.

Chelsea:

I think it looks so fun.

Chelsea:

So cool.

Chelsea:

It just seems like another world.

Chelsea:

And I'm like, that's something that I've been doing a lot of like nature.

Chelsea:

A lot of European cities, I've been to so many like islands and jungles

Chelsea:

and I'm like, I really think it'd be awesome to see a city like Tokyo.

Chelsea:

So that is on my list.

Lynnette:

Keep us posted.

Lynnette:

We'll look at your, astromap see what you got going on there.

Chelsea:

yeah, gotta see what's going on in Japan for me.

Lynnette:

How do you bring ritual into your daily life?

Chelsea:

Great question Lynnette.

Chelsea:

It's something I'm still working on.

Chelsea:

I literally, especially after moving here and again, like having my whole

Chelsea:

schedule and everything flipped upside down is something I'm actively trying

Chelsea:

to work on of like, how do I build rituals and routines again, into my life.

Chelsea:

So to be honest, like I don't really have an answer for this one.

Chelsea:

And it's something that I still.

Chelsea:

Struggle with too where I'm like, why don't, why can't I figure out

Chelsea:

like a nice ritual or morning routine or something that I can just come

Chelsea:

back to and rely on every day.

Chelsea:

And every single night I go to bed thinking about this, of like,

Chelsea:

what could I do tomorrow morning?

Chelsea:

Or what could I make?

Chelsea:

What could I ritualize?

Chelsea:

And yeah, I don't really have an answer.

Lynnette:

I feel the same way.

Lynnette:

and I wonder if it has to do with our astrology placements only

Lynnette:

because I feel like that Virgo energy makes me want to have.

Lynnette:

Do the same thing every day and like Virgo is wellness and

Lynnette:

health and all of that stuff.

Lynnette:

And so I'm really called to that, but then I never am able to actually seem to do it.

Chelsea:

Same it's same.

Chelsea:

Like every night I go to bed I'm like, tomorrow is the day you're gonna journal.

Chelsea:

You're gonna walk.

Chelsea:

You're gonna like sit outside and meditate.

Chelsea:

And it never happens.

Chelsea:

I've had that vision in my head for a year and I have barely done it.

Chelsea:

So I'm like, maybe that is also again, part of being the aquarius and or

Chelsea:

reflector, like shape shifting is like, maybe I'm not meant to have a routine.

Chelsea:

Um, yeah, or ritual.

Chelsea:

I know those are kind of different things, but it's something I'm kind

Chelsea:

of experimenting with right now.

Lynnette:

Yeah.

Lynnette:

I think embracing the fluidity, I guess, to circle back to the beginning of

Lynnette:

the conversation, is hard with Virgo energy, Virgo, energy doesn't want, you

Lynnette:

know, I guess it's a mutable sign, but.

Lynnette:

I don't know.

Lynnette:

I, I just very much relate to that.

Lynnette:

So maybe we can keep each other apprised of our journeys

Chelsea:

yes, please.

Lynnette:

and last, but definitely not least.

Lynnette:

Where do you shine brightest in your life?

Chelsea:

Oh my gosh.

Chelsea:

I would say.

Chelsea:

Probably when I'm traveling or when I'm podcasting.

Chelsea:

I think, um, someone actually just messaged me.

Chelsea:

It's interesting.

Chelsea:

Cause I don't think I've met this person or I don't think I've worked

Chelsea:

with them or anything and they DM me and they're like, you have such

Chelsea:

a different energy when you travel.

Chelsea:

Like you just seem so much happier.

Chelsea:

And I'm like, I think because I am happier, like I know that and I think,

Chelsea:

um, that's, that is where I shine when I am traveling, but I also think it more.

Chelsea:

You know, an expression wise is podcasting.

Chelsea:

Like you'll hear it.

Chelsea:

And I like talking, I'm a verbal processor.

Chelsea:

It's something that I've always liked to do.

Chelsea:

And so I think by having my podcast, it's something that I've committed to for

Chelsea:

five years and invested so much money in time in and like definitely, uh, money

Chelsea:

wise have not made the investment back in terms of like how much I put into it.

Chelsea:

But I'm like, I think that speaks to how much I shine there is because I'm

Chelsea:

like, I don't wanna stop doing it.

Chelsea:

I actually love doing it and feel like that is where I shine.

Chelsea:

So.

Chelsea:

Yeah, I think this

Lynnette:

I agree.

Lynnette:

I know I'm not the judge of this question, but, just in the past few months having

Lynnette:

found you and listened to your podcast and worked with you, I think you.

Lynnette:

You are where you need to be right now.

Lynnette:

And you're, you're living your best life, which is very admirable.

Chelsea:

Oh, thank you.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

I'm like, whenever I travel, I'm just like, this is it.

Chelsea:

And that's something that, um, also for people that are a little more

Chelsea:

unconventional, like me can feel a little bit crazy that you're like, is it

Chelsea:

wild that I wanna live in a new country every month or every three months?

Chelsea:

And I think being around people, going back to the very beginning of our

Chelsea:

conversation in community is like, when you are around like-minded people

Chelsea:

who value the same things you do.

Chelsea:

You don't feel isolated.

Chelsea:

And I think that's been really important on this trip is to see

Chelsea:

that a lot of people wanna do that.

Chelsea:

And that's been really validating for me too.

Lynnette:

where can people follow along with your journey?

Lynnette:

How can they work with you?

Chelsea:

Yeah, they can follow along at, in my non expert opinion.

Chelsea:

That's the name of my podcast and then work with me.

Chelsea:

My website is just my first and last name.

Chelsea:

Chelseariffe.com or DM on Instagram.

Chelsea:

Follow me.

Chelsea:

Lynnette:

Well, I personally can't wait to keep hearing and seeing your

Lynnette:

adventures and seeing how your locational astrology pans out in all of these places.

Lynnette:

And.

Lynnette:

I you're kind of the dream locational astrology wise, because

Lynnette:

you're getting a little snippet of all these different places.

Lynnette:

So, you know, most people are just thinking about like moving

Lynnette:

or like taking a couple week vacation, but you're like doing it.

Chelsea:

Yeah.

Chelsea:

That's why I was like, we have to talk before I do this and then we'll do

Chelsea:

an update cuz I'm like, I want to see how it actually ends up playing out.

Chelsea:

So.

Chelsea:

Cool.

Chelsea:

Thank

Lynnette:

Well, thanks for taking the

Lynnette:

time

Chelsea:

you.
