Speaker:you are introduce yourself Let us know who
Speaker:you are and what you do.All right so I am
Speaker:Victortor Vonico Johnson I am a published
Speaker:author of the book proven pathways to
Speaker:wealth and happiness a see my name down
Speaker:there God is so good God is so good. Also I
Speaker:name a professional speaker so I have the
Speaker:pleasure and opportunity to speak to
Speaker:everyone from corporate groups to high
Speaker:school college groups entrepreneur groups
Speaker:real estate groups about ways that they
Speaker:can create their future self they can
Speaker:level groups in life I get can opportunity
Speaker:to do community outreach for Prosperity
Speaker:bank which is a regional an here in Texas
Speaker:and in Oklahoma And who knew that there
Speaker:was bank job out there that pays people
Speaker:just to create more black on a what they
Speaker:do Pay me to do what I already was doing
Speaker:educating like we were doing about the
Speaker:power of real estate building wealth
Speaker:building legacy in your family through
Speaker:real estate.I am also estate, youth mentor
Speaker:I do quite a few things here in the
Speaker:Carrollton farmers a area in north Texas
Speaker:But a across the country in colleges
Speaker:Carrollton educate young people about
Speaker:financial literacy real estate growth
Speaker:mindset kind of like your book and really
Speaker:just finding ways to achieve goals
Speaker:mindset, their life And so that's in
Speaker:really nutshell But it's so much more.I in
Speaker:I'd rather say it this way a I am somebody
Speaker:who loves to see people level up I love to
Speaker:inspire people to level up and I do that
Speaker:through multiple platforms including the
Speaker:one I'm on right now So thank you again
Speaker:for having me Oh man it's my pleasure. It
Speaker:is my pleasure Because listen y'all if
Speaker:y'all haven't tapped into Victor's
Speaker:LinkedIn you're missing it You missing it
Speaker:The brother shares some amazing value on
Speaker:all of his social media platforms to be
Speaker:honest But LinkedIn is the place to be and
Speaker:he his one that consistently adds value no
Speaker:matter where he is and what he's
Speaker:doing.Victor and I initially met because
Speaker:we shared the same coach God is faithful
Speaker:He and I had the same coach who thought
Speaker:that it would be great for us to meet And
Speaker:he was right He was absolutely right. He
Speaker:was right.I won't just say adding value I
Speaker:think that's not was good term to describe
Speaker:what you do but I can't think of another
Speaker:word Adding value to minorities people of
Speaker:color and being specific specific to the
Speaker:african american community the value of
Speaker:home ownership the value of building
Speaker:generational wealth and one of the key
Speaker:cornerstones to building wealth I don't
Speaker:care whether you selfishly building or you
Speaker:building for your family I don't care why
Speaker:you're building it.Right God is not making
Speaker:any more dirt You all So those who own
Speaker:some can have leverage That is the tool to
Speaker:building wealth.And you don't have to be
Speaker:abundantly wealthy in order to do it And I
Speaker:love that position for you at Prosperity
Speaker:bank you said it it pays you to do what
Speaker:you are already doing Exactly Educating
Speaker:our communities on the importance of home
Speaker:ownership and how to get there because
Speaker:what the time you were and still our
Speaker:financial literacy through understanding
Speaker:your credit and how credit works how to
Speaker:get it how to keep it when to use it when
Speaker:to sit down with it.I like that That's
Speaker:important Just because you can does not
Speaker:mean you should Yes exactly Oh my
Speaker:God.Understanding that man Because I know
Speaker:during the create your future self time we
Speaker:both talked about our journeys and how we
Speaker:started out in real estate development
Speaker:real estate investing where we came from I
Speaker:can't remember you but I came from the
Speaker:proverbial no pot and no window Yeah I was
Speaker:backwards I was completely backwards.And
Speaker:again you follow certain steps and stay
Speaker:faithful and consistent And ultimately
Speaker:doors open up for you but you got to be
Speaker:courageous to take the step when the door
Speaker:opens Right And that's the part I think
Speaker:that I enjoyed the most about the platform
Speaker:we were on with live bringing in other
Speaker:people talking about their journey because
Speaker:it looks different from everybody
Speaker:Right. And so finding out that there are
Speaker:others out there that have walked similar
Speaker:paths or that have experienced the same
Speaker:setbacks in life but still overcame and
Speaker:that's what it's really about And being
Speaker:able to share those stories and those tips
Speaker:to help people to move forward So yeah
Speaker:you're absolutely right So in your work
Speaker:let's talk about it So let's start about
Speaker:your work with young people I believe in
Speaker:anybody with any form of I would say
Speaker:common sense understand that when they got
Speaker:together and sung that song and said the
Speaker:children are the future truer words have
Speaker:never been spoken Yes truer words have
Speaker:never been spoken And that's one thing I
Speaker:know that you're really passionate about
Speaker:is helping our youth whether they're at
Speaker:risk youth african american youth you
Speaker:don't care Just youth Helping our youth to
Speaker:understand financial principles
Speaker:entrepreneurship principles life
Speaker:principles in general.Because if you teach
Speaker:them while they're young when they get to
Speaker:be our age they don't have to go through
Speaker:the struggles that we went through Talk to
Speaker:us Take us on a know some of the things
Speaker:that you've shared with the youth and even
Speaker:when we're looking that our young adults
Speaker:and the work that you're doing through
Speaker:prosperity bank Absolutely So from the
Speaker:youth perspective again that moniker that
Speaker:tagline create your future self has never
Speaker:left me.And I was able to spin off a youth
Speaker:program So create your future self youth
Speaker:program And it really initiated back 2019
Speaker:At the end of 2019 we were I believe still
Speaker:doing the lives or just about to wrap up
Speaker:doing them if not And I had applied for a
Speaker:request for proposal at RFP with Dallas
Speaker:ISD Dallas independent School District so
Speaker:that I could teach financial literacy some
Speaker:a little bit of entrepreneurship.But
Speaker:really it a about character building and
Speaker:how to set goals for your life for these
Speaker:high school age kids And so the a got
Speaker:approved right around February of 2020 And
Speaker:then three weeks later we had a pandemic
Speaker:that got announced Right And so I was kind
Speaker:of scrambling like okay so now that the
Speaker:schools are closed how can I still impact
Speaker:youth And I had that good friend reach out
Speaker:to me who actually helped me with the
Speaker:request for proposal and said hey look
Speaker:here's another grant you may want to apply
Speaker:for And I applied for that grant since I
Speaker:already had the package the and I got
Speaker:approved for that one as well And it turns
Speaker:out that we did the first create your
Speaker:future self youth program as had virtual
Speaker:program and it was supposed to be for
Speaker:Dallas county youth between 13 and 19 Well
Speaker:when we started marketing that program for
Speaker:the summer it as only going to be a one
Speaker:week long program every day 5 hours a day
Speaker:And we ended up having the kids and their
Speaker:families sharing it out to their friends
Speaker:and families not only in the state in the
Speaker:country but outside of the country.Come on
Speaker:We ended up having about 60 kids
Speaker:throughout that week from 13 different
Speaker:states from three countries from Africa
Speaker:Canada and of course the US And we ended
Speaker:up doing a virtual platform And I can tell
Speaker:you for sure some of those kids are even
Speaker:still in contact with each other now four
Speaker:years or three going on four a later what
Speaker:the program is And now through that grant
Speaker:I get that grant every summer to do that
Speaker:program. And of course since then we've
Speaker:made it a in person program And I partner
Speaker:with some great folks like all things made
Speaker:new which is a group out of Irving and big
Speaker:thought and Dallas city of learning a
Speaker:these different nonprofits And so they
Speaker:help some bring the kids together And then
Speaker:I do a a thing where I'm bringing in other
Speaker:experts from the community other industry
Speaker:leaders in a variety of different career
Speaker:paths And we teach kids about how to set
Speaker:goals how to identify their passion their
Speaker:purpose what's the difference between the
Speaker:two How to shake a look people in the eye
Speaker:how to project themselves and overcome the
Speaker:fear of speaking in public which is a big
Speaker:thing for me And the of course we go into
Speaker:financial principles of rule of 72 what's
Speaker:a checking account what's an IRA And all
Speaker:of these different things in the course of
Speaker:those five days And so what happened from
Speaker:there was it spun of into well I need to
Speaker:spread this out to the school districts
Speaker:because why should the kids in the
Speaker:summertime be the only ones who get this
Speaker:growth it And so I've been so blessed to
Speaker:be able to now partner with different
Speaker:school districts being contracted of
Speaker:course to do it.But I'm giving way more
Speaker:than I'm getting I can promise you But
Speaker:it's one of those things where it's
Speaker:partner gift that continues to give
Speaker:contracted, gift that keeps on giving
Speaker:because you see these kids come back to
Speaker:you like Mr Johnson Oh my God Because you
Speaker:introduced me to the mayor of the city I'm
Speaker:now thinking about getting into ciVictor
Speaker:responsibilities or all of these type of
Speaker:things. So it's a blessing So now we do it
Speaker:as a week long program And that has turned
Speaker:into this year about program that we call
Speaker:Pathfinders leadership program And
Speaker:Pathfinders is dedicated to 8th a males
Speaker:black and hispanic mostly in these
Speaker:underserved communities And we're teaching
Speaker:them those same principles.But I can a
Speaker:hone in on what's important for young men
Speaker:Hygiene These boys 13 and 14 many of them
Speaker:are athletes how to wash up properly and
Speaker:put deodorant on and keep your breath
Speaker:smelling right And just things that
Speaker:sometimes they don't get And so it has
Speaker:turned into probably a bigger blessing for
Speaker:me than even the kids because to be able
Speaker:to see them engaging and starting to
Speaker:communicate with each other on a different
Speaker:level it has been an absolute
Speaker:blessing. That's a speaks to creating your
Speaker:future self because exactly That's what
Speaker:you're helping these kids to do They're
Speaker:creating and getting the building blocks
Speaker:that they need to learn how to become the
Speaker:person that they envision in their mind
Speaker:Some of them may come from broken families
Speaker:some of them may come from dysfunction
Speaker:Some of the may come from perfectly
Speaker:functional families.But if it's in
Speaker:underserved communities there are still
Speaker:probably a lot of financial limitations
Speaker:And you're helping them to understand that
Speaker:That may be your right now but that
Speaker:doesn't have to be your future Absolutely
Speaker:These are the in that you can do now to
Speaker:set yourself up for the future you're want
Speaker:to have.I know you're developing great
Speaker:relationships with the kids and I can only
Speaker:imagine that your are having some success
Speaker:with some parents that are like you know
Speaker:what Thank you Because I've been saying
Speaker:that ain't nobody listening to
Speaker:me.Oftentimes to their credit it's the
Speaker:same things that they've been telling
Speaker:their kids Right But it sounds different
Speaker:It hits different when it comes to
Speaker:somebody else that I'm not a teacher I'm
Speaker:not their parent I'm just coming in as a
Speaker:man that's gone through what they've gone
Speaker:through or grew up in neighborhoods that
Speaker:they've gone to.And think about this
Speaker:LaQuita your 13 or 14 year old son comes
Speaker:home and gives you guidance on how to
Speaker:raise your credit score Your child comes
Speaker:in and tells you mama that in that you had
Speaker:tomorrow let me give you some tips on how
Speaker:you can approach the boss or that person
Speaker:to shake their hands properly That's
Speaker:growing community For real For real. You're
Speaker:absolutely right I get emails text
Speaker:messages third party information from
Speaker:principals and stuff like oh my God so and
Speaker:so's mom said the are so thankful because
Speaker:their son is now coming home cleaning up
Speaker:instead of going straight into the room to
Speaker:play the game you know what I mean Things
Speaker:like that And so that really makes my
Speaker:heart flutter when I hear those kind of
Speaker:stories Oh that's the give back.That's the
Speaker:win right there Yeah that is the win That
Speaker:is the win We're on this journey If you're
Speaker:just tuning into the podcast Victortor is
Speaker:sharing with us some amazing tools that he
Speaker:is using to help young adults between the
Speaker:ages of 13 to 18 And in particular we just
Speaker:talked about a specific group of 8th grade
Speaker:males that he loves to work with
Speaker:passionate about who is Pathfinder through
Speaker:Pathfinders You want to make sure you
Speaker:connect with him on that But again
Speaker:connecting with him on all things We want
Speaker:to just go out and Google Victortor v

Speaker:episode That drops every Tuesday. You heard
Speaker:me the podcast drops every Tuesday Go
Speaker:ahead and hit that subscribe on your
Speaker:favorite podcast listening platform.All
Speaker:right we're going to have to edit that
Speaker:part out because I don't know what just
Speaker:happened but look that technology I hope
Speaker:y'all got something to write with and
Speaker:write on because we still got a little bit
Speaker:more conversation left and you don't want
Speaker:to miss out on these next bits We've
Speaker:talked out how Victor is serving the youth
Speaker:Now let's talk about how you're serving
Speaker:that's serving the community too But how
Speaker:are you serving our african american
Speaker:minority and underserved community as it
Speaker:relates to home ownership Absolutely
Speaker:Building wealth building great credit
Speaker:scores all of these good things So there's
Speaker:two paths that that happens through So
Speaker:we'll talk first about Prosperity bank
Speaker:which is again are regional bank here in
Speaker:Texas and Oklahoma 280 different banking
Speaker:centers between the two states. And what
Speaker:we're doing is great new community
Speaker:outreach team that was put together in
Speaker:2023 And it's myself and two other young
Speaker:ladies down in Houston And we are going
Speaker:through communities that are majority
Speaker:minority census tracks meaning that there
Speaker:are 50 or more minorities in those
Speaker:communities mostly black a hispanic but
Speaker:BiPoP so indigenous people in general And
Speaker:we're educating on how to prepare yourself
Speaker:for ladies mortgage a home loan how to
Speaker:preserve the home that you got So we stop
Speaker:selling big mama house.Like what can you
Speaker:do to leverage the equity there improve
Speaker:the values on those homes and be able to
Speaker:turn them into either investment
Speaker:properties or just a it to where you can
Speaker:pass that down to the next generation and
Speaker:have a nice sturdy safe home And so we
Speaker:find out that there are three predominant
Speaker:reasons that black people as a bigger So
Speaker:it's 43 of black families own homes right
Speaker:And 74 of it families own homes and about
Speaker:60 of asian families own homes That's just
Speaker:not cool right Not at all And so to close
Speaker:that home ownership gap we find out that
Speaker:there's three a reasons And if you're
Speaker:listening these are three reasons if you
Speaker:don't own a home these are probably one of
Speaker:the three if not all three that's causing
Speaker:you to not get there Credit score is too
Speaker:low And when we say too low below 620 is
Speaker:too low.You can get approved for a
Speaker:mortgage under 620 but it's going to come
Speaker:at such an exorbitant cost that it just
Speaker:almost is better just to do what you got
Speaker:to do to get your score up above the 620
Speaker:really over the 640 so that you can be
Speaker:more financially stable when you do get
Speaker:that home mortgage or that home loan The
Speaker:second reason that we see declines in
Speaker:mortgages is because our debt to income
Speaker:ratio is too high meaning that the money
Speaker:that we pay out every month on our normal
Speaker:rent car note student loan credit cards
Speaker:whatever is reporting to your credit or
Speaker:that number is taking up over 40 of the
Speaker:money that you are bringing home Got to
Speaker:work that out Either you got to increase
Speaker:your personal development so you can start
Speaker:making more money or you got to find ways
Speaker:to eliminate the unnecessary debt that's
Speaker:on your credit reports Or how about do
Speaker:both Right That way you really get where
Speaker:you need to be And then Either third
Speaker:reason that we find is that not enough of
Speaker:us have put together enough dollars to put
Speaker:down on a mortgage to your down payment
Speaker:those closing costs And so again we've got
Speaker:to do better about saving And so what I'm
Speaker:doing with prosperity bank is going
Speaker:through attacking those three tenants
Speaker:particularly like what can we do to
Speaker:improve our credit score reduce our debt
Speaker:increase our income save more money and
Speaker:really sharing with people what exactly
Speaker:the banks are looking for and the mortgage
Speaker:companies are looking for to approve you
Speaker:for these mortgages and understanding the
Speaker:whole process.So I partner with a lot of
Speaker:local realtors know real estate
Speaker:professionals that understand the home
Speaker:buying process And we partner on that and
Speaker:we educate people between Texas and
Speaker:Oklahoma on how to get there and purchase
Speaker:those homes And purchase those homes Okay
Speaker:that's real good Like those numbers were
Speaker:astounding.And I don't mean in realtors,
Speaker:good Way not for us anyway right No I
Speaker:don't mean in partner good way But I
Speaker:remember several conversations that we had
Speaker:on create your future self when we were
Speaker:talking to people who were wanting to get
Speaker:into the real estate investing space And
Speaker:that is mean way to help increase african
Speaker:american home ownership the traditionals
Speaker:as well as nontraditional.So let's talk
Speaker:about that a little bit because they
Speaker:actually go together for me they actually
Speaker:go together So let's talk a little bit
Speaker:there about your program that you have
Speaker:where you're teaching and training a
Speaker:estate to on how to enter into the space
Speaker:and enter in with nontraditional. good
Speaker:foundation because you got a ton of social
Speaker:proof because we're going to talk about
Speaker:that spot you got because me a Bill need a
Speaker:vacation Okay let's go So thank you for
Speaker:introducing that opportunity So that's the
Speaker:on pathway that I'm helping the community
Speaker:with home ownership and a is through
Speaker:teaching real estate investing
Speaker:particularly buy and hold or rental
Speaker:property investing. And that can be long
Speaker:term renters meaning that you're buying a
Speaker:property to put somebody in there for
Speaker:yearly leases introducing place The
Speaker:standard that's could be midterm rentals
Speaker:where we see these traveling nurses or you
Speaker:see those I call them nomads people that
Speaker:all they need is rental phone and a laptop
Speaker:and they can work anywhere meaning the
Speaker:world anywhere set up these kind of longer
Speaker:term situations where they can lease from
Speaker:you for 90 days six months at a time and
Speaker:then they off to another location Or the
Speaker:more short term rentals which are becoming
Speaker:a little bit harder to do because of
Speaker:regulations in certain localities But
Speaker:teaching people again through
Speaker:BetheVictortor us you can find out about
Speaker:my signature program It's called the
Speaker:abundance program.And we're really
Speaker:teaching the average person how they can
Speaker:acquire some real estate and start
Speaker:generating some income on the side And
Speaker:little may be short small dollars as far
Speaker:as the monthly cash flow that you earn but
Speaker:you're building equity right You're paying
Speaker:down principal debt you're getting equity
Speaker:captured by getting these properties And
Speaker:you still have your residential home but
Speaker:this property is the one that's generating
Speaker:that passive income that's allowing you to
Speaker:kind of get over that hump that we just
Speaker:talked about with credit scores and lower
Speaker:income Now you got this extra income
Speaker:stream coming getting and you have another
Speaker:asset that banks look at and say oh you
Speaker:got something else worth some one Okay
Speaker:generating case you can't keep up these
Speaker:payments we know that you that least own
Speaker:more assets And so with that program the
Speaker:abundance program I work with people close
Speaker:I only take on probably five clients
Speaker:another quarter with this program because
Speaker:I'm giving so much in this program I can't
Speaker:extend myself out beyond that But we work
Speaker:for 90 days and they got to be vetted. They
Speaker:got to be in a position where the at least
Speaker:very serious about investing in rental
Speaker:properties or real estate in general I
Speaker:have some people that I coach them on the
Speaker:in side of it But that's the way that as
Speaker:you mentioned LaQuita that's what we was
Speaker:always talking about in the beginning was
Speaker:how you can get there And there's so many
Speaker:ways to invest investing real estate but
Speaker:that's the impetus of that program is
Speaker:buying holding rental properties Not fix
Speaker:and flip. Not fix and flip Yeah Ben and I
Speaker:do the buy And also because there are a
Speaker:plethora of different ways that we do it
Speaker:and we do it a little bit differently many
Speaker:little bit more Non traditionally all
Speaker:roads will eventually end in that
Speaker:traditional mortgage if you're going to
Speaker:hold it for any amount of time But there
Speaker:are so many ways that you can enter into
Speaker:there space. But the number one thing you
Speaker:have to be is educated That's it The
Speaker:number one thing you a to be is educated
Speaker:And I love that you said that the students
Speaker:the clients are vetted I believe that
Speaker:every person on the face of there planet
Speaker:regardless of age creed religious
Speaker:affiliation all of that every person on
Speaker:the planet needs to own a piece of
Speaker:property period period.Business and a
Speaker:business You need to own a piece of
Speaker:property and a business period period With
Speaker:that being said those that do own it are
Speaker:more dedicated to obtaining the education
Speaker:in order to get it Doesn't matter where
Speaker:you come from does not matter where you
Speaker:come from Doesn't a the amount of money
Speaker:you may or a not have in your pocket right
Speaker:now. You can have and 0 net value net worth
Speaker:You can have a negative net worth But if
Speaker:you are dedicated to obtaining the
Speaker:education that you need what I found is
Speaker:those that are committed including myself
Speaker:when we're committed to the education the
Speaker:byproduct of that the fruit of that is
Speaker:then I'm committed to the application Yes
Speaker:I get the education and then I get the
Speaker:application of the things that I've
Speaker:learned And the application of the things
Speaker:that I learned give me success.And that
Speaker:success might not mean I immediately
Speaker:change myself, net worth but it does mean
Speaker:I immediately change my habits That will
Speaker:result in then change in My net worth
Speaker:absolutely every time And I love that you
Speaker:said that Because when I say we I've mean
Speaker:in our culture we have been brainwashed to
Speaker:think that we can't invest in ourselves.Or
Speaker:if somebody is offering you guidance and
Speaker:they're further along you that they're
Speaker:trying to sell you on something If we can
Speaker:just change two words in our vocabulary
Speaker:from cost to value then we'll see our life
Speaker:open up so much better You have to look at
Speaker:when you're investing brainwashed yourself
Speaker:what is the outcome that you expect Is
Speaker:this person somebody who is already doing
Speaker:what you've been dreaming about doing And
Speaker:that's why I say vetted because so many
Speaker:people reach out to me because they've
Speaker:been scrolling on TikTok and Instagram
Speaker:like I want to be an investor.Hold up man
Speaker:Answer this questionnaire and it's going
Speaker:to let me know if you got the stomach to
Speaker:do what it's going to take Because this is
Speaker:not an overnight process This is something
Speaker:that you're building for your family for
Speaker:yourself whatever again your reasons are
Speaker:you've got to start with being courageous
Speaker:enough to say I'm going to investor. in
Speaker:myself And sometimes it's not even
Speaker:monetary.Sometimes it's just I'm going to
Speaker:invest the time that it takes daily hour a
Speaker:day to reading researching watching
Speaker:podcasts like this from people who have
Speaker:proven that they can overcome whatever
Speaker:state financially they were to the point
Speaker:that they are now And to your point I'm
Speaker:not ashamed to brag about that Me and my
Speaker:family bought cash a condo down in Punta
Speaker:Cana Dominican Republic invest January of
Speaker:2023 But you know what We collaborated.Me
Speaker:my sisters my wife we decided we wanted to
Speaker:level up our family And rather than us
Speaker:trying to take it down by ourself we
Speaker:decided hey you know what It's going to
Speaker:cost us this amount of money It's going to
Speaker:take us this a of time but we will own
Speaker:this property outright in our family And
Speaker:so that's what it takes. It takes what it
Speaker:takes You just got to be willing to do the
Speaker:work Come on now Talk about it Listen you
Speaker:said something right then a few minutes
Speaker:ago you talked about time.Money isn't the
Speaker:biggest thing that separates us from our
Speaker:wealth And I say our wealth because we in
Speaker:the body of Christ have been promised by
Speaker:our father who owns a cattle on a thousand
Speaker:hill that the wealth of the wicked is laid
Speaker:up for the just The wealth is mine I just
Speaker:have to go a it The money doesn't separate
Speaker:me from my wealth. It's my ability to
Speaker:dedicate myself and give my time It's the
Speaker:time people don't want to consistently
Speaker:give themselves to the study and to the
Speaker:consistent application of the things that
Speaker:will a their habits that will change their
Speaker:lives And you said something else too that
Speaker:was really powerful mine. our communities
Speaker:And when I say our communities yes within
Speaker:the african american communities but also
Speaker:in the communities of the lower middle
Speaker:class and the poor And I'm specific with
Speaker:the lower middle class and the poor in
Speaker:those communities.We always think somebody
Speaker:trying to sell us something when what
Speaker:they're doing is giving wisdom Now you may
Speaker:be required too, make an investment in
Speaker:yourself to partner with this person to
Speaker:learn those principles but what you get in
Speaker:return we all understand the old adage if
Speaker:you give and man a fish he'll eat for a
Speaker:day but if you teach him how to fish he'll
Speaker:eat for a lifetime That's all this is
Speaker:That's all this is And that's so important
Speaker:Victor that mindset shift that someone who
Speaker:has what I want I don't just want you to
Speaker:give me the stuff.I want you to teach me
Speaker:how you got that stuff And better yet a me
Speaker:how you're maintaining that stuff I can
Speaker:get it Your listeners your viewers if they
Speaker:have not got redefining success they are
Speaker:tripping because that's what we're talking
Speaker:about going from important, poverty
Speaker:mindset to a growth mindset She's giving
Speaker:you eight steps to get a growth mindset
Speaker:and we're not getting down on anybody.This
Speaker:is perpetuated by our media by our society
Speaker:It starts way early in our lives at two
Speaker:years old The first little toys or marvel
Speaker:comics you see is teaching you that
Speaker:wealthy people are scammers and this and
Speaker:that type of thing But look turn the tv
Speaker:off Pick up some books.Redefining success
Speaker:Proven pathways to wealth and a Come on
Speaker:off of the bench and get in the game Get
Speaker:in the game They will continue to feed you
Speaker:that way.Because if you are lower middle
Speaker:class and poor that's the testing ground
Speaker:for every consumer product or serVictore
Speaker:out there Why are you paying more for milk
Speaker:than they paying for up in the upper
Speaker:middle class and affluent neighborhoods
Speaker:Why are you paying more Why is there even
Speaker:a check cashing place in your neighborhood
Speaker:But it ain't one. When you go to visit your
Speaker:older uncle's house in whatever community
Speaker:right You got to see this stuff And if you
Speaker:don't see it get these books listen to
Speaker:these pieces of information and start
Speaker:changing on a daily basis your mindset and
Speaker:watch how your life changes My son and
Speaker:changing my mindset on paying lot of
Speaker:different things And here's the
Speaker:thing.Changing your in isn't a one time
Speaker:thing It's a lifetime thing It's a growth
Speaker:thing It is a growth thing My oldest son
Speaker:and I just today was having this
Speaker:conversation. He walked in and I was
Speaker:watching a YouTube video on how to make
Speaker:your own a detergent And I'm going to get
Speaker:to why I'm doing it He said because I'm
Speaker:cheap I a no I changed the way I think
Speaker:about some.Me and Ben had looked at it and
Speaker:many people don't know but I've become an
Speaker:avid gardener for several different
Speaker:reasons The number one reason is and it's
Speaker:not money Money is one of the reasons
Speaker:because when eggs went to cost them more
Speaker:than my chicken it got problematic When
Speaker:eggs started costing more that was
Speaker:problematic Like wait said, minute.But I'm
Speaker:was already an avid gardener because I
Speaker:realized that the foods that we're eating
Speaker:are not good for us I'm going to leave it
Speaker:at that You do your research The foods
Speaker:that we're eating I don't care whether
Speaker:you're getting it fresh or frozen right
Speaker:It's not good for us.So I grow my
Speaker:groceries And in doing that it made me
Speaker:start to think about a lot of things that
Speaker:my grandparents a and did and how life was
Speaker:then And I realized now that 40 plus tap
Speaker:dancing on 50 it's not about the money
Speaker:It's not about the money Yes you can.And
Speaker:in some things it cost me more to grow my
Speaker:groceries than what I would spend But my
Speaker:longevity in the health changes A lot of
Speaker:listeners don't know that October through
Speaker:February October last year through
Speaker:February of this year I had that breast
Speaker:cancer scare and I was freaking out My
Speaker:whole family was freaking out.And there
Speaker:were some other health issues going on and
Speaker:I was already one who was conscious of my
Speaker:diet But I became even more conscious of
Speaker:my diet then That turned some light bulbs
Speaker:on It's like oh I was in a couple of
Speaker:things I need to grow a whole lot of
Speaker:different things.And that's how that
Speaker:laundry soap theme came in As women we use
Speaker:scare whole lot more chemicals on a daily
Speaker:basis than men from all there things that
Speaker:other world says we need to be cute right
Speaker:And learning how to make my own laundry
Speaker:soap I control what goes into my soap and
Speaker:therefore I control the health in my body
Speaker:because there's was lot of carcinogens in
Speaker:things. that we use on a daily basis from
Speaker:our makeup our face wash our everything
Speaker:And yes the money did matter Like the
Speaker:things that I bought to make this soap may
Speaker:have cost me 20 and I can spend 20 on some
Speaker:good laundry detergent but this five
Speaker:gallons of laundry detergent that I made
Speaker:today actually goes out to ten gallons of
Speaker:laundry detergent that I use because I
Speaker:made a concentrate.And I spent 20 on one
Speaker:in for sensitive skin people Or I can
Speaker:spend that same 20 and get ten gallons for
Speaker:sensitive skin people A shift in mindset A
Speaker:shift in my mindset No I didn't do this
Speaker:because of.I don't want to spend the 20 I
Speaker:spent the 20 Victor regardless right
Speaker:Regardless I spent the 20 But this
Speaker:impacted my overall health This impacted
Speaker:my family's health.It's a part of my
Speaker:generation I got to live a be here in
Speaker:order to build So that mindset shift on
Speaker:how we do things and why we do things in
Speaker:our communities But when you go into
Speaker:affluent communities they do a lot of
Speaker:these things The people that you see that
Speaker:says oh and we've seen it.When you are
Speaker:poor why these rich people just wear
Speaker:wranglers Or why do this Or why are they
Speaker:mad Because the price of this pack of pork
Speaker:chops was x amount but they got and farm
Speaker:That's why they mad because they
Speaker:slaughtering their pig and they might have
Speaker:got caught slipping.So that's why they're
Speaker:in the grocery store Right And they're mad
Speaker:because they know that it don't cost that
Speaker:much for real Right So it's that mindset
Speaker:shift in so many different When we want to
Speaker:obtain and maintain wealth we've got to
Speaker:change our mind and change the way that we
Speaker:see and understand the power of our dollar
Speaker:You said something that was very key Every
Speaker:product known to man is tested in poor and
Speaker:low middle income communities Not just in
Speaker:America Not just in America.Because in
Speaker:those communities We attribute the ability
Speaker:to buy an item to wealthy to status in
Speaker:communities Upper middle class and rich a
Speaker:wealthy communities in things and stuff is
Speaker:not what they see as wealthy Buying land
Speaker:buying thousands of acres at a time buying
Speaker:islands buying and flipping
Speaker:businesses.Let's talk about that We're
Speaker:flipping houses they're flipping
Speaker:businesses I'm investing like I want to
Speaker:have a shark tank Okay how about that
Speaker:Where I'm investing income people's
Speaker:businesses and in paid out and in the
Speaker:business in the business just for the
Speaker:purpose of selling it.Different mindset
Speaker:And you don't find that mindset in low
Speaker:income and impoverished communities high
Speaker:middle income communities and above you do
Speaker:So they not testing them they're testing
Speaker:us.And we come from at much richer culture
Speaker:than that But over time generation after
Speaker:generation we keep taking in this
Speaker:information that they feeding us instead
Speaker:of really being open to really researching
Speaker:what's best for me and my family Like this
Speaker:ain't it Living paycheck to paycheck
Speaker:That's the whole principle behind my book
Speaker:is that I was living paycheck to
Speaker:paycheck.I was making 80 90 grand a year
Speaker:1012 years ago which was a good dime for
Speaker:me at that time You know what I mean But
Speaker:why was I broke full five days before
Speaker:every single payday And it just made no
Speaker:sense I'm driving nice cars.I'm living
Speaker:where I want to live but my spending
Speaker:habits were atrocious And one thing I'll
Speaker:tell you if you're watching listening out
Speaker:there and you want to get out of that
Speaker:paycheck to paycheck cycle just take a
Speaker:look at the last 90 days of your bank
Speaker:statements print it off get you ago,
Speaker:highlighter and go through everything that
Speaker:you really didn't have to have over that
Speaker:period of time And it's really going to
Speaker:look ugly for this Last November December
Speaker:as you was preparing to buy people stuff
Speaker:that they don't need and don't want so
Speaker:that you could look good you know what
Speaker:I'll mean But people you're don't get out
Speaker:of that.We got to get out of that I know
Speaker:we probably cramp a time The other thing I
Speaker:want people to understand is that just
Speaker:like Steve Harvey always talks a we were
Speaker:all given gifts more than one multiple but
Speaker:there's really one or two that just really
Speaker:stands out And if you can find ways to
Speaker:generate business income and really
Speaker:cultivate that gift you'll find that you
Speaker:will be happier you will make that lot
Speaker:more money and you will be thriving and
Speaker:flourishing in life instead of being all
Speaker:sad and beaten downtrodden going to this
Speaker:job which is what's causing you to have
Speaker:high blood pressure and heart attack It's
Speaker:all tied in you know what I'm saying It's
Speaker:all tied in So anyway I get on a soapbox
Speaker:y'all can hire me to speak and I'll bring
Speaker:this message to you wherever you at Go to
Speaker:betheVictortor business That's what you do
Speaker:Go to betheVictortor us and get on his
Speaker:calendar get him on your calendar to learn
Speaker:more about the pathways the proven
Speaker:pathways to success.Get the book It's an
Speaker:amazing book You all you want to get that
Speaker:book great things in the book Be in his
Speaker:network so that we can learn because
Speaker:without changing our mindset we won't even
Speaker:get on the path You can't find the path
Speaker:until you change the way that you
Speaker:think. You have to change the way that you
Speaker:think in order bethevictor get on what
Speaker:true path of success One of the things
Speaker:that I talk about in my book is who has
Speaker:defined success for you A lot of times in
Speaker:our lower income and lower middle class
Speaker:communities we don't even realize that
Speaker:we've allowed outside individuals entities
Speaker:to define success for us We don't even
Speaker:have our real true definition of what
Speaker:success looks like to us If it's just the
Speaker:things and the stuff the things and the
Speaker:stuff we are allowing other people to tell
Speaker:us what success looks like. That's why we
Speaker:spend money unnecessarily But when we
Speaker:truly define success for ourselves it will
Speaker:change the game It will absolutely
Speaker:absolutely change the game I know For me
Speaker:and I'll ask Victor this too what does
Speaker:success look and feel like for you today
Speaker:For me success looks and feels like me
Speaker:spending time in my garden with my
Speaker:grandkids Best feeling definition the
Speaker:world is to watch my granddaughter If was
Speaker:telling my daughter watch my granddaughter
Speaker:when she thinks nobody's looking Go into
Speaker:the strawberries and eat all the
Speaker:strawberries She looked like. That's
Speaker:chipmunk just full. And she loved cherry
Speaker:tomatoes Don't even realize it's healthy
Speaker:She got a jaws full of cherry tomatoes or
Speaker:strawberries and she's three So watch her
Speaker:To go back there and just pick it in the
Speaker:strawberries the size of her hand and she
Speaker:don't plop it in.That's success That is
Speaker:success for me That's success I'm here to
Speaker:enjoy that So I'm going to do everything I
Speaker:can to make sure I stay here to enjoy
Speaker:seeing my grandchildren's children.Come
Speaker:steal strawberries out of my strawberry
Speaker:How about that That really touched my a
Speaker:right there Them grandbabies like what are
Speaker:you doing this for That's your why right
Speaker:Absolutely And you said something that I
Speaker:heard another person say that just really
Speaker:resonates People got to ask themselves
Speaker:this What if everything that you thought
Speaker:was correct is wrong Everything that you
Speaker:believe about yourself what if it's wrong
Speaker:is wrong What if you could rethink that
Speaker:whole thing What if you really can be
Speaker:healthy and in good shape What if you
Speaker:really could not have to live Check to
Speaker:check anymore like you said where did you
Speaker:get that And who said it was right And if
Speaker:it was right at that time who says it's
Speaker:right for you today Just rethink the way
Speaker:that your life is and question everything
Speaker:and be inquisitive about do I have to be
Speaker:like this No limits There are no limits on
Speaker:you life but we put them on ourselves And
Speaker:that's the first piece that has to change
Speaker:is stop limiting you worrying about what
Speaker:other people are going to think about You
Speaker:get after it You are not given infinite
Speaker:time here No Every time that you with
Speaker:somebody even every time you it your
Speaker:family your kids that's one less time
Speaker:you're going to be with them.Yeah So start
Speaker:appreciating the time that you have and
Speaker:figuring out where you're supposed to be
Speaker:And just again rethink some of the
Speaker:concepts and mindsets that you've been
Speaker:taught by other people in your life or
Speaker:experiences that you've had It doesn't
Speaker:have to be that way going forward So that
Speaker:would be my 0.02 for it.Love it As always
