Unity. Its a special word for us because we are all so divided. From each other. Even within ourselves - it is still day to day that we endure the rush and ebb of the ravages of internal conflict within us. Even the Christians are divided amongst themselves: this is truly a scandal. And yet each of us is responsible for it. Each of us divided, we divide. Each of us wounded, we wound. And do our own thing. But this is not Christian, and it is not of Christ. If there is anything that characterises Jesus Christ, it is his unity with the Father, the unity he brings to our own disorders, and the communion his name brings. Even today by atheists - he is still seen as a guy to imitate and admire. And his prayer for us today is only this: “Holy Father...May they all be one. Father, may they be one in us, as you are in me and I am in you, so that the world may believe it was you who sent me. I have given them the glory you gave to me, that they may be one as we are one.” Let us renounce today division, doing our own thing, but rather to choose to do and live everything, even our projects, in a spirit of communion - with the others.
