Jay Jarman founded a language school called Baby-English in Oita that went beyond supporting kids in the classroom to supporting their families and community with events and extracurricular activities. Watch the talk here.

In the 1990's when he moved back to Hawaii with his family, Jay was horrified by the school-shooting at Columbine and met with a school principal about how to help lonely kids- this was the start of a non-profit called Common Grace and then Malama Mentors he founded. Lots of stories of inspiration for helping kids and building supportive communities in Japan, Hawaii and the world.
