This podcast episode features a profound discourse on the significance of mindfulness in shaping our realities and the intricate relationship between our thoughts and well-being. Reverend Steve Golden elucidates the concept that our thoughts are potent forces that can either uplift or diminish our existence. He emphasizes the critical need for individuals, particularly the youth, to cultivate awareness of their mental consumption, especially in an era dominated by social media and pervasive negativity. Throughout our dialogue, we explore the transformative power of positive thinking, gratitude, and self-love, asserting that such mental shifts can catalyze healing and personal growth. By fostering a deeper understanding of our inner selves, we can navigate the complexities of modern life with intention and purpose. The dialogue ventures into the realm of consciousness and its pivotal role in shaping our realities, as Reverend Steve Golden articulates the profound notion that our thoughts serve as the architects of our experiences. He emphasizes that the cultivation of positive thoughts—those grounded in love, joy, and gratitude—can lead to transformative changes in not only one’s mental and emotional state but also physical health. This assertion is particularly significant in an age beset by distractions, where the constant pull of social media can often lead to negative thought patterns and emotional dissonance. Golden's insights advocate for a conscious re-engagement with our inner narratives, encouraging individuals to direct their attention towards uplifting and empowering content that fosters a sense of community and personal growth. Throughout the conversation, the effects of the pandemic serve as a poignant backdrop, illustrating how collective consciousness can influence individual health outcomes. Golden shares compelling anecdotes of individuals who have experienced miraculous healings through the application of positive affirmations and spiritual practices, underscoring the profound connection between our mental states and physical realities. These stories not only highlight the potential for individual transformation but also serve as a reminder of the communal responsibility we share in fostering environments that support mental well-being and spiritual growth. As the discussion progresses, the challenges faced by younger generations in navigating a digitally dominated landscape are addressed. Golden suggests that instilling values of self-love and positive thinking is essential in guiding youth towards healthier relationships with technology and themselves. This episode ultimately serves as an enlightening exploration of the symbiotic relationship between thought, health, and societal engagement, urging listeners to harness the power of their consciousness to create meaningful change in their lives and the lives of those around them.
Takeaways:
I'm Anthony Wright and I am your host today on the Living Conversation with my co host, Adam Dees.
Speaker B:Welcome to the conversation.
Speaker A:And we are talking with our guest, Reverend Steve Golden.
Speaker A:And Reverend golden, before the break, you were talking about.
Speaker A:And we've been talking through this whole conversation about the power of our thoughts and about, and I'm, I'm wondering about the attention because one of the things Adam and I have both taught freshmen and sophomores in college and a lot of times the kids can't get their nose out of the phone.
Speaker A:And part of this is that what do you have to say about how our world is trying to capture and monetize attention and what that, what does that do and how, how do we find our way out of that?
Speaker C:Well, one of Ernest Holmes famous quotes is thoughts are things.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker C:And what I am also sharing with a lot of people right now is a lot of stuff on social media, the news channels.
Speaker C:I don't watch any of that stuff anymore because most of it is not really truthful.
Speaker C:I don't read newspapers anymore because there's so much stuff in there that's just so negative and it's really impacting the planet.
Speaker C:And I've really had massive amounts of people agree with me and they stop watching the news, stop reading newspapers and they just, if they're watch, if they're on social media like Facebook or Instagram, they just, they don't, they'll see it.
Speaker C:They just keep scrolling.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker B:Well, I, I find that very interesting.
Speaker B:You know, we live in a culture where we're always being manipulated, really.
Speaker B:You know that people want our dollar, people want our attention, people want our vote.
Speaker B:So, so we have to be very careful of our attention, Very, very careful of what we look at and don't look at.
Speaker B:I myself agree and went on a huge news fast cutting my consumption by about 80, 90%.
Speaker B:And it's been really helpful to get through some challenging times.
Speaker B:I also want to point out that I want to get your take on it as well, Reverend golden, that.
Speaker A:We.
Speaker B:Can find if we're careful and we're mindful, we can go on our phone and go on YouTube and have a wonderful, beautiful spiritual feed.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:We can see some of the most amazing things on there.
Speaker B:Hopefully stuff like the living conversation.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker C:When you get to that stat, that state, Adam, that's what you're attracting,.
Speaker B:That's coming together for me.
Speaker B:Then when we're being mindful of our thoughts, when we're being careful of what we're looking for, when we're, when we're manifesting love, positivity, gratitude, then things change for us.
Speaker B:Including our feed?
Speaker C:Oh yeah.
Speaker B:Including our social media feed.
Speaker C:Also, health wise, can be shifted.
Speaker C:I had, I had a guy, if I can share this story real quickly.
Speaker A:Sure.
Speaker C:November from Emmett Fox had this thing called the Golden Key.
Speaker C:And with my last name being golden, now I am the Golden Key.
Speaker C:And I created a prayer of some stuff that Emmett Fox did.
Speaker C:And this guy came in my office, he was my accountant and it was November of 24.
Speaker C:Came in and he said he just got diagnosed with prostate cancer and he was with his wife.
Speaker C:And I said, sit down, close your eyes, taking a deep breath.
Speaker C:I did this prayer for him and then I started doing this prayer for him several times a day for about two weeks.
Speaker C:And then he called me and he said he was back at the doctor and a miracle had happened and the cancer was gone.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker C:And I've had, and that's just not egotistical that I'm sharing.
Speaker C:It's just the power that is there as I've.
Speaker C:My ex wife had cancer too and I gave her the book and I said just go to chapter 15.
Speaker C:And two weeks later she sent me a text and she said it worked.
Speaker C:I don't have any cancer anymore.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker B:We, we had a, a number of healers on the show.
Speaker B:At least, at least three that I can recall, top of my head.
Speaker B:And one of them mentioned that it really aligns with what you're saying.
Speaker B:It really tracks that, that negative emotions, negative feelings can, can turn into basically physical manifestation.
Speaker B:And she, this was Banya Lim Anthony and she said that this can turn into illness and cancer.
Speaker B:So you're, you're talking about a process that can reverse that, that, that, that the positivity, the love, the gratitude and getting in touch with our natural state of health can help this negativity fall away and help this sickness fall away.
Speaker B:So I think that's really interesting and I, I really, I, I do want to say like, you know, I always.
Speaker B:These people that you're talking about, everyone take note, they, they got a diagnosis from their doctor and then they went back to their doctor.
Speaker B:So, so they weren't just, you know, living in the woods thinking I'm going to heal myself all the time they were checking in.
Speaker B:So, you know, always be careful and get verification from your doctor.
Speaker B:But I really appreciate what you're saying there and just wanted to make the connection about, about, you know, letting this negativity fall away.
Speaker B:That part of what you're describing to me is, you know, it's cancer.
Speaker B:It's a negativity.
Speaker B:And so when we reverse the process and have a thought of love and gratitud negativity can fall away.
Speaker B:Is that also crack?
Speaker C:That is absolutely correct, Adam.
Speaker C:And just to verify, it's the conscious mind, thoughts, that's programming the subconscious mind so you're having those thoughts of pure love, joy, happiness, gratitude, that's reprogramming your subconscious mind and your subconscious mind is like the supercomputer of your body.
Speaker B:Then, then it, then it's, then it's allowing these, these healing properties to, to come out, right?
Speaker C:Yeah, it just doesn't come out.
Speaker C:It just comes in.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Or just kind of, you know, I'm thinking from like the deepest place within you, then it kind of fills every, every part of you, Every organ, every cell, right?
Speaker C:That's right.
Speaker B:Great.
Speaker A:So I'm, I'm still wondering though, I mean, if I'm in the presence of, to bring it back to this idea of assisting young people to be able to make a choice because there's a, a lot of evidence showing that social media is addicting.
Speaker A:And I would imagine it really does come down to what that, that people have to make a choice to, to shift from, from that.
Speaker A:But is there any, any thought you would have about.
Speaker A:If we're around young people that are so immersed in social media and even older people as well, how do we hold a space for them to emerge into their God self?
Speaker C:Well, that's a good question.
Speaker C:It's really just the, like us with our children or grandchildren, it's really to start talking about because when we were born, from the age of birth until about you're seven years old, you were told things and that's what programmed your subconscious mind.
Speaker C:So if you thought there was heart problems or cancer or something from previous generations, that's what's going to happen to you.
Speaker C:But you can eradicate that from having the thoughts of perfect health, love, joy, happiness and gratitude that reshifts your subconscious mind and the cells then in your body are all done.
Speaker C:And so talking to younger kids is really about talking about positive thought process and self love.
Speaker A:As I was seeing, you know, kids in the grocery store, but they've got their nose stuck in a tablet as they're riding around, you know, and I remember our parents not wanting us to have too much tv, you know, but so what you're saying though is, is to approach these folks with intention and.
Speaker C:Attention just to shift the thought process because, okay, thoughts are things Right.
Speaker C:As, as I said, it's right at the very top.
Speaker C:That's Ernest Holmes thoughts or things.
Speaker C:And I did do something else too.
Speaker C:In my book, every chapter has bonuses.
Speaker C:There's a QR code.
Speaker C:Scan those and they get the paper.
Speaker A:Oh, so you've written outside papers from your book for people to go into.
Speaker C:It for additional resources, scan it, and then download them.
Speaker C:And they're, they're.
Speaker C:They are helpful paper process to help shift the mind and heart, soul, mind, all that.
Speaker A:So, so this is very interesting.
Speaker A:This is based on the work of Emerson.
Speaker A:But also in my research, I saw that new thought was also based on the philosopher of the German philosopher, Hegel.
Speaker A:Do you have anything that you can reflect to us from Hegelian philosophy that goes into the new thought path?
Speaker C:Well, all the, what they call world religions now were spiritual processes.
Speaker C:They were all spiritual foundations.
Speaker C:And most of them had the thought process of knowing the divine source is the infinite power and presence everywhere, and that power and presence is within.
Speaker C:And often times I tell people, discover the power and the presence within.
Speaker C:Read this.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:So, Adam, do you have anything?
Speaker B:Well, what reminds me of.
Speaker B:And I think after some time, after some time of feeling good about your spirituality, feeling gratitude about, you know, your life, feeling God within and changing your thought process, and then you have a realization that reality and matter and being is also a beautiful manifestation of God.
Speaker B:And so then all the things that we go and see and experience and interact with, we can see them at a, I want to say higher level, maybe deeper level, but our mind can be more reverential towards all things.
Speaker B:And so when we're talking about.
Speaker B:The thought comes when we speak in Zen Buddhism, when people are talking about, in this example, God, or in Zen Buddhism, it's Buddha nature or Buddhahood, that we should answer them with something concrete.
Speaker B:Like, what's Buddha nature?
Speaker B:Oh, the fence over there.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker C:So then this is something that somebody's created.
Speaker C:That's not incor.
Speaker C:That's incorrect.
Speaker C:In fact, in this country, Nepal, there's this place called Lumbini, and there's an archaeological discovery there from a pillar that King Issachar built in honor of Buddha.
Speaker C:Lord Buddha.
Speaker C:And I went there, I've been there several times.
Speaker C:And this giant building, it's massive.
Speaker C:And you walk in and there's just this walkway around the inside of the wall.
Speaker C:And then that goes out.
Speaker C:And you walk out, you can see all this, like, brick and crumble stuff.
Speaker C:You could tell that there was buildings there, but.
Speaker C:And you walk out and you look down and there's this little statue and a sign that says birthplace of Lord Buddha.
Speaker C:And his name was Siddhartha Guatama Y.
Speaker C:And when he was born and when he was a young teenager, he asked his dad if he could leave the community for a while.
Speaker C:And he was on the outskirts of Kathmandu and he sat under this tree for 49 days and became enlightened, meditating for that long.
Speaker C:And now that tree is called Bodhi.
Speaker C:Bodhi means enlightened?
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:Well, we have to take a short break again.
Speaker A:I'm Anthony Wright.
Speaker A:I'm your co host today on the Living Conversation with Adam Dietz.
Speaker A:And we're here with our guest, Reverend Steve Golden.
Speaker A:And how can people contact you, Steve?
Speaker C:The best place is to go on my website, www.myhumanpower.com.
Speaker A:I'm Anthony Wright.
Speaker A:I am your co host today on the Living Conversation with Adam Dietz.
Speaker B:Welcome back.
Speaker A:And we're speaking with our guest, Reverend Steve Golden.
Speaker A:And before the break, Steve, you said that you were offering some educational program.
Speaker A:Can you talk a bit about that, please?
Speaker C:It's learning how to master the Golden Zone.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker C:I was a spiritual teacher back in, right before the pandemic with a friend of mine who had this thing called society.
Speaker C:And I was the first man she let in it.
Speaker C:And I did spiritual zooms every Tuesday.
Speaker C:And I had men all over the planet on my zoom calls.
Speaker C:And I am Reverend Stephen Golden, Dr. Of Divinity.
Speaker C:I got my Doctorate of Divinity Degree 2 1/2 years ago.
Speaker A:Congratulations.
Speaker C:Thank you.
Speaker A:So this allowed you to have and what would you say about in new thought terms, and you've just brought up the pandemic.
Speaker A:Was there a, a planetary consciousness that allowed that to occur that actually has such a great effect on everyone?
Speaker A:Can you talk a bit about that?
Speaker C:You listen and watch the news, read the newspaper, and you allow that to go into your mind.
Speaker C:That will affect you.
Speaker C:But when you learn that you can control your own life by your own thoughts, feelings and emotions, that is a huge shift on your co creating reality, just learning and understanding and knowing the truth, that we are all one with the divine source.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker C:And when you shift your conscious mind, as I just said, and you think about pure love, joy, happiness, gratitude, that will shift all this, the programming in your subconscious mind and the vibrations that occur from your body.
Speaker C:And then that's what you attract, that's what comes in.
Speaker C:But if you're having negative thoughts of fear, doubt, anxiety, that's what you're attracting.
Speaker A:So would you say then that the pandemic showed up as A manifestation of many people.
Speaker C:That was not station.
Speaker C:That was actually.
Speaker C:And I, I learned later on that that was almost a fraudulent thing.
Speaker A:Oh, really?
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker C:So it was from political administrators from several countries.
Speaker A:I see.
Speaker A:So anyway, you have these.
Speaker A:Do you have classes that you have as offerings?
Speaker A:Very often, yeah.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:And like every month or every couple.
Speaker C:Months or could probably do weekly.
Speaker A:Oh, okay.
Speaker C:And each program will be like a 12 we program and then a break for 12 weeks program again.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:Yeah, that's quite, quite immersive.
Speaker A:And so, Adam, do you have some further things that.
Speaker B:Well, I mean, yeah, there's, there's stuff there that's, that's interesting for sure.
Speaker B:I, I want to, let's just say this.
Speaker B:Let's.
Speaker B:Let's talk about trust.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:Talk about trust, would you?
Speaker B:Because in our tradition that we learned, you know, one of the most important things in, in my specialty is Confucian philosophy.
Speaker B:One of the most important things to a healthy society is trust.
Speaker B:So I want to kind of get your take and your thoughts on how important trust is and how people who are trying to be spiritual seekers and people who are trying to live in this world, people who are trying to experience spirituality in the manifest.
Speaker B:How do, how does trust factor into our relationships with the world around us?
Speaker C:Well, and that's a really good question because in this book it really is educational about learning the trust of the truth of who you are.
Speaker B:And then, and then the relationship with other people.
Speaker B:Relationship in society.
Speaker B:Because we, we, we spoke quite a bit about, you know, trusting yourself, experiencing yourself at a higher level, experiencing God within you, but then that's within.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:So then how do we relate to the outside world around us?
Speaker B:How do we, how do we, you know, relate to other people, most importantly?
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker C:Well, it all depends on what you seek in your life as you are your own person that you can create, co.
Speaker C:Create your reality in your life and you can help other people.
Speaker C:That's my power and passion and purpose now is to help humanity here on Earth.
Speaker C:And another very important thing is that people that are in religions, I'm not telling them they need to leave the religions.
Speaker C:They just need to learn the truth of who they are and that, that religion is a spiritual foundation and learning how to control their minds, their feelings and emotions will help shift their.
Speaker A:You know, and I, I would imagine this is part of the, the training that you go through in the 12 we programs.
Speaker C:Yeah, because I have a lot of people that I've helped and I still talk with all the time that are, you know, coupler in Mormons and some are just in.
Speaker C:In Catholicism.
Speaker C:But it seems like I tell them, you know, you just keep going to church, whatever.
Speaker C:That's right.
Speaker C:But understand.
Speaker C:And I taught them the.
Speaker C:The really the foundation of the spirituality of who and what we are.
Speaker A:So your premise is then that all religions are an overlay on the basic religion, a basic spiritual experience.
Speaker C:As my first chapter is all about world religion, history, then the new thought philosophy is what they called spirituality.
Speaker C: happen in like, in the early: Speaker A:Right.
Speaker C:And then the quantum field, which is that everything is energy and the divine source is everything.
Speaker C:So some religions, though, are more judgmental and political.
Speaker C:And I studied every world religion to get my ministerial license.
Speaker B:That's great.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:We have a background in comparative philosophy, comparative religion as well.
Speaker B:So I think that's really important.
Speaker B:One image that often comes to mind I've shared before on the show is that it's like a prism that at the highest level, God is pure light.
Speaker B:And then as it manifests down into the lower levels of the religion, it divides into the different.
Speaker B:Like a rainbow.
Speaker B:But the source is the same.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker C:That.
Speaker B:Do you find that to be the case in your studies of comparative religion?
Speaker C:Well, I don't really.
Speaker C:I'm not involved in religions because now I know the truth of who each and every one of us is.
Speaker C:Now it's just me focusing on.
Speaker C:And every morning when I get up, I. I do some meditation, and I have a lot of conversations in the internal voice with God, and I do some affirmations for my manifestations, and I visualize in my internal vision of what that is.
Speaker C:And I'm in a highest state of gratitude now.
Speaker C:And that has just shifted my life completely.
Speaker B:Nice, nice.
Speaker B:Earlier, Anthony was touching on something because we do have an element of, like, Western philosophy that comes in.
Speaker B:I have a little bit of a background there, and I wanted to just kind of track this with you because Anthony was mentioning the Hegel.
Speaker B:And I know Hegel, you know, deeply influenced many, many philosophers.
Speaker B:But you've mentioned a few times Emerson.
Speaker B:So I once, you know, researched about how Hegel influenced Emerson and Emerson influenced Henry David Thoreau.
Speaker B:Henry David Thoreau influenced John Muir.
Speaker B:So this became.
Speaker B:Because the reason why that's powerful to me is because you see philosophy going into life, going into the world around us, from Emerson to Thoreau, who wanted to go sit in nature at Golden Pond and experience the divine, let's say, in that.
Speaker B:In that way, then through to Muir, who wanted to protect the divine around us.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:To allow you Know God's manifestation to be protected.
Speaker B:So he was actually kind of an activist.
Speaker B:So can you say something, one, about that lineage in your background of philosophical study, and two, about how people might want to manifest their spirituality in.
Speaker B:In their.
Speaker B:Their life around them?
Speaker C:Well, something about that one is that it was really talking about external things.
Speaker C:But this is truth that it's not external.
Speaker C:It's really what you're thinking about what you're feeling, your emotions are.
Speaker C:And God is not an external being.
Speaker B:Can you resonate, though, with other gods?
Speaker B:Like, let's say, for example, other gods, okay.
Speaker C:But one God, the infinite power, presence everywhere.
Speaker B:Want some field, Right.
Speaker B:And we have God within and other thing.
Speaker B:Other things around us have God within.
Speaker B:So that's what I'm talking about when I say other gods.
Speaker B:Forgive me for misspeaking.
Speaker B:Yeah, forgive me for misspeaking.
Speaker C:Other species, like heavenly gospel dogs.
Speaker C:All the dogs, yeah.
Speaker B:So can you.
Speaker B:Can you resonate with the divine, in other words, entities around you, when you're having this mindful of.
Speaker B:Of gratitude, can you resonate at a deeper level with things around you?
Speaker C:I have with Heavenly Dog, Gospel dogs.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:So people in general, when they're experiencing things at a higher level inside themselves.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:Then does that also.
Speaker B:It sounds to me like in your work, that would also influence how they view the world around them.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Well, in Buddhism is really.
Speaker C:In Buddhism, Hinduism, as cows are sacred animals, they do it with them.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:Well, we're coming to the end here.
Speaker A:I just want to ask one other thing.
Speaker A:If there was only one thing you could offer to our.
Speaker A:As a closing comment to our listeners, what would that be?
Speaker C:Go to my website.
Speaker C:You can see some stuff about this.
Speaker C:My website.
Speaker C:Go online.
Speaker C:Go to www.myhumanpower.com.
Speaker C:You'll see about the book.
Speaker C:You'll see a little bio about me.
Speaker C:And at the bottom of the page is a human power playbook, which is 10 items that really has helped so many people.
Speaker C:I'm so blessed and grateful that the divine source helped me create that because I. I want to help humanity and I am helping humanity now.
Speaker A:Okay, well, thank you so much for listening and I'm Anthony Wright and I'm your co host today on the Living Conversation with Adam Dietz.
Speaker B:Thanks for joining.
Speaker A:And we've been talking with our guest, Reverend Steve Goldman, Dr. Of Divinity.
Speaker A:Thank you so much for listening.
Speaker C:It was very nice being on with you guys.
Speaker C:I really appreciate it.
Speaker A:Okay, thank you.
Speaker A:And we will see you next time.
Speaker C:All right, Blessings to you both.
