Christy Russell has 20 years of business and nonprofit management experience. When her youngest son received his autism diagnosis, she founded Kinera Foundation, a nonprofit that enhances the quality of life for children with special healthcare needs and their families across the lifespan. She is proud that Kinera is still serving local families today.
It was through the process of starting the nonprofit that she discovered a love for networking and connecting people to one another, finding innovative solutions to complex problems, and sharing lessons learned and success stories.
Christy is passionate about being present for the big and small moments in her children’s lives. They began homeschooling in 2017 and enjoy the freedom of experiential learning. If there is free time after being a small business owner, homeschooling mom, and nonprofit volunteer, you will find her with a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other.
