This episode is a different kind of episode. A very special kind of episode.
If you’ve listened to The Medicin for a while you’ve probably heard at least one of our 6 episodes with Adrienne Abeyta, our astrologer, mentor, therapist, friend, fairy godmother and teacher. Literally one of our favorite humans on this earth.
A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of interviewing Adrienne and her husband Keith in their cute, love-filled home. Keith is a clinical psychologist, teacher, and philosopher who is also navigating a very difficult cancer diagnosis. Last year, a brain tumor was discovered, and his doctors weren’t very optimistic.
In spite of these heart wrenching circumstances, diagnosis and prognosis, the love between Adrienne and Keith has only grown deeper and richer…In Adrienne’s words, ours is a kind of love that stories can only imagine.
We discuss their love story, how it started, how their love grew, and the core fundamentals of a deep, rich, fulfilling partnership.
We also wade into the murky waters of grief, death, and the unknown. They were open books and didn’t want to shy away from these topics— in fact, they thought these were important to discuss. Because it’s so rare in our instant gratification, death averse, anti-aging culture.
This conversation is unedited, raw, and very emotional. There are no ads or commercials. The audio isn’t pristine…but you know what…it’s actually all perfect.
Consider this episode a celebration of Keith and Adrienne’s epic love story. A shining example of the deep, rich, nourishing love that is available to each one of us.
Deep bow of gratitude to our friends, Adrienne + Keith. Thank you for this gift.
