For any business to survive, providing stellar customer service must be a core value.

 

It's actually painful to see the dis-service that so many companies are doing to customer service.  Bad customer service affects a business, but it can also affect the businesses in a surrounding area.  

If you are in a tourist area, you have no choice but to provide great customer service to your customers.  People will not pay premium prices to visit a tourist area, if they are not appreciated and treated with the utmost respect.

Taking on those that are hurting your reputation or the reputation of your community is mandatory.  Raise the standard for customer service.  It can be your competitive edge.
