Kristen talks a lot about goals here on the podcast. How to set goals, what to do to reach those goals, how to stay on track, and all the stuff in between. But have you ever wondered what uber-successful people do in order to achieve their goals? Well - Kristen is going to crack that code for you today.
It starts with a concept Kristen calls the future self exercise. This future self is a vision of yourself set in a future where you’ve already attained your goals. And its impact on your current self can help shift how you show up now in order to get the future you’ve been waiting for.
Not convinced? Listen in as Kristen talks about these topics:
When you show up now in the way your future, successful self does, you’re showing up in a way that serves your audience and your business. By stepping into the space as the future version of yourself who is no longer worried and anxious about making a sale, you make more room for the things that actually move your business along. The work starts now

Welcome to another episode of the podcast.
2
:This week I'm sharing with you a
little tip or an exercise that I
3
:use in my business, and I actually
started using it from my first day.
4
:I decided to be a coach when I was
thinking about where I wanted to take
5
:my future, the career I wanted to build.
6
:And it's an exercise I still
use in my business to this day.
7
:And as I was sitting with it, I'm like,
I can't believe I've never shared this.
8
:And if I have, I don't think I've
devoted an episode to it and it really
9
:truly does devote an episode and I
really have just been thinking and
10
:sitting with, okay, so what has created.
11
:The results in my life.
12
:What has created this business
that I have, you know, the book
13
:that got published, this podcast,
how am I sitting on these results?
14
:And you guys have heard me talk about
consistency and compounding your
15
:results and you know, and some habits.
16
:But I think I wanna dive more into
habits that I have that I think maybe,
17
:I assume maybe are just a part of who
I am, or maybe they're just natural.
18
:And so I really just decided to sit with,
okay, let's put everything on the table
19
:and what are all the habits that I have
that I believe got me to this place?
20
:And I've been in rooms.
21
:With people who are worth, you know,
hundreds of millions and people who are,
22
:you know, doing huge things in the world.
23
:And I've noticed.
24
:A lot of them have these same habits,
so I'm gonna be sharing those with you
25
:because you can start using them today.
26
:It's not habits to start, you know, when
you make your first, you know, a thousand
27
:dollars in the online space or your a
hundred k, or you know, you don't start.
28
:Doing this when you make a
million dollars, this is what
29
:you need to do right now today.
30
:So I'm gonna be sharing that with you.
31
:And if you haven't already noticed,
we are full swing into summer.
32
:It's fun.
33
:As soon as uh, you know, things are a
little bit different here in my house,
34
:my kids aren't in school anymore.
35
:In fact, my daughter is sitting in
the room with me curled up in a little
36
:chair in my audio in my office and I
was like, okay, well I gotta record
37
:this podcast so you gonna be quiet.
38
:She's like, yeah, I'll be quiet.
39
:So it's kinda sweet having
my daughter in the room.
40
:Sitting in a chair over there, so
she's making little faces at me.
41
:So we are full swing into summer, and the
Summer of Success was a hugely successful
42
:event, and we had more than 12,000 social
sellers register and watch the training,
43
:and I'm really, really proud of how that
training went and how it served people.
44
:There was a lot of aha moments
and a lot of people that I
45
:think were on the precipice of
maybe quitting their business.
46
:Putting their business on the back burner
for the summer, decided, you know what?
47
:I'm worth this and I'm
coming back to this.
48
:And yeah, you know what?
49
:I can devote one hour a
day to building my future.
50
:You guys, you can devote one hour a day.
51
:You do have time.
52
:You just have to decide
what's stronger, your excuses.
53
:To not do it or your reasons to do it,
you have to decide which is stronger.
54
:My excuses are my reasons.
55
:And a lot of people kind of uncovered
their excuses and discovered they figured
56
:out their reasons why it's worth doing.
57
:And we talked about just
why stories get in the way.
58
:And so, um, if you have been on the
fence joining the Social Selling Academy,
59
:we are kicking off our new 90 day
go-getter challenge starting July 1st.
60
:And when you join between.
61
:Now in midnight, June 19th, you get the
the Go-Getter book mailed to you for free.
62
:And also for the first time ever,
we we're not sure if we're keeping
63
:this as a permanent fixture.
64
:We're kind of doing this beta test.
65
:We are offering a payment
plan for the academy.
66
:So if you've just kind of been on
the fence and thinking about it
67
:for the first time ever, we have
a payment plan for the academy.
68
:So you can go to the
social selling academy.com
69
:to learn more.
70
:We'd love for you to join us and.
71

three 90 day kickoff, and we're gonna be
72
:doing a coachathon inside of the academy.

74
:So there's gonna be so much
opportunity for you to be on our live
75
:coaching calls, get live coaching.
76
:Um, we have so many assets in there
for you that helps ensure that
77
:you keep your word to yourself
and you stay on the road too.
78
:You know, creating success in your
business and staying consistent.
79
:I really did sit down and solve for
what is everything a student could
80
:need to help them stay on track to
help them stay consistent and to help
81
:them take themselves seriously and
show up day after day in this business.
82
:So, super excited to
announce that with you guys.
83
:So be sure to go to the
social selling academy.com
84
:to learn more.
85
:Okay, so let's get into this.
86
:Exercise this habit that I have been
doing in my business for a long time,
87
:and it's this concept of sitting with
your future self, the, the future
88
:self that has accomplished, already
accomplished the big audacious goal
89
:that you currently are dreaming of.
90
:And.
91
:What I wanna say is like, be careful with
how you're choosing your goals, because
92
:sometimes if you choose a goal that's so
big and it shuts down your imagination,
93
:it shuts down your creativity.
94
:You need to sit with a future goal that.
95
:Feels possible to you.
96
:It doesn't feel completely impossible
where your body shuts down, your brain
97
:rejects it and you can't even imagine it.
98
:I want you to sit with a goal
that's big enough to where it feels
99
:uncomfortable, and I would say
it triggers your how mentality.
100
:And what I mean by that is it
has you asking yourself well,
101
:like, well, how would I do that?
102
:How would I get that many customers?
103
:How would I grow my account like that?
104
:How would I do that?
105
:That's great if you.
106
:Have, you know, thought of a goal and it's
triggering a bunch of how energy, great.
107
:It tells me that it hasn't shut you
down and it hasn't stopped you from,
108
:you know, thinking about the goal.
109
:It's in, in fact, it's kind of
triggered this part of you that's
110
:like, okay, but how would I do that?
111
:That's perfect.
112
:Okay, so I want you to sit with this goal
and this, this concept of your future
113
:self is when you sit down and visualize.
114
:Your life and yourself after
having accomplished the goal.
115
:And it's not just like,
and, and it's interesting.
116
:Um, it's not just you like.
117
:Thinking about it and moving on.
118
:I mean, you are truly sitting
down and getting very intimate
119
:with that version of yourself.
120
:And so what I did, so I'm gonna
give you an example of this.
121
:So if you're like, Kristen, I
don't, I can imagine things, but
122
:what does this actually look like?
123
:Stick with me.
124
:Okay.
125
:So for me, when I decided, you know,
I was gonna have a coaching career
126
:and a coaching business, this the huge
audacious goal that was like so crazy
127
:for me to wrap my mind around, but didn't
shut me down, was making 200 KA year.
128
:And for me, that felt like insane.
129
:I couldn't even wrap my mind.
130
:Like I, I could kind of
wrap my mind around it.
131
:I was like, okay, that's like, it's, you
know, double then what, you know, our
132
:household income brings in at the time.
133
:Okay.
134
:I think like my brain could wrap.
135
:My mind around it, but I was also kinda
like, I don't know how I'm gonna do this
136
:as a coach, but I really just sat with
it and I used my imagination, and then
137
:I started asking myself some questions.
138
:Okay.
139
:The version of me who's making 200
KA year in her coaching business, or
140
:20 KA month is coming in regularly,
how does that person show up?
141
:Online, how do they market themselves?
142
:How do they talk about themselves?
143
:So, you know, I ask myself,
okay, how do I show up?
144
:How does that version
of me show up every day?
145
:How does that version of me show up to
consultation calls when people get on a
146
:call with me and they wanna, you know.
147
:They wanna consider
hiring me as their coach.
148
:Well, how am I showing
up in the online space?
149
:What decisions am I making at home?
150
:What investment decisions do I make?
151
:How do I view, you know.
152
:How do I view money?
153
:How do I view those things?
154
:And I truly sat down with myself and
I asked myself all those questions.
155
:I even went to like, okay,
what are my daily habits?
156
:How do I solve problems?
157
:How do I handle conflict?
158
:How do I handle when somebody comes
up to me and tells me, you know.
159
:I don't like what you're doing.
160
:I think what you're doing is wrong.
161
:Like how does that version
of me handle haters?
162
:How does that version of me handle
when someone disagrees with me?
163
:How?
164
:What does that version of me do?
165
:And also, I even got so clear.
166
:So like how does that version
of me dress every day?
167
:What kind of music does that
version of me listen to?
168
:What are my mornings like?
169
:That version of me.
170
:I just kept running many scenarios
through my mind of like, what
171
:does that version of me do?
172
:And so something I did when I was
starting out before I even had my first
173
:client, and before, you know, I started
really making any money as a coach.
174
:I sat with this and even though
like 20 K month felt like it felt so
175
:audacious, it was like, this is insane.
176
:Okay, but I'm gonna sit here
and just imagine and what am I
177
:gonna do and how consistent am I?
178
:And how do I show up?
179
:And how do I talk and how do
I carry myself in the world?
180
:How do, how does that version
of me walk around in the world?
181
:And so, at the time, what was happening
was I was kind of, how I was showing
182
:up to my work was I was kind of like
rolling out of bed with a messy bun
183
:wearing sweatpants, you know, just.
184
:Waiting.
185
:Waiting for someone to find me
in the world, waiting for someone
186
:to say, oh, you're a coach.
187
:I wanna work with you.
188
:But what was interesting is as I was
like walking around in my sweatpants
189
:around the house, you know, on
days that I wasn't in the salon, I
190
:wasn't feeling like super motivated.
191
:I wasn't feeling super inspired.
192
:And I just, and I also realized, okay, but
what if inspiration hits me and I wanna
193
:do go live or do a video, and, you know.
194
:I am not looking the way I want to look,
the way I want to present myself the
195
:way I want to be my most confident self.
196
:So now, because I have a messy bun
and no makeup and I'm not ready to
197
:conquer my day, now when inspiration
hits, I'm not gonna do the live
198
:because I'm not ready, because I'm not,
you know, I'm not dressed, I'm not,
199
:you know, looking cute or whatever.
200
:And again, it wasn't, it wasn't the
idea of looking cute for somebody else.
201
:The idea was.
202
:In what way?
203
:I wanna show up in the world where I feel
confident, where I'm like, this is who
204
:I am and this is how I want to show up.
205
:And for me, I'm like, well, if I'm going
live, you know, presenting myself as a
206
:coach, I don't think I want to go live
in my, in my sweatpants with a messy bun.
207
:I don't, that's not the
way I want to show up.
208
:So I just thought, you know.
209
:I think this future version of me, I think
she wakes up every day and she takes the
210
:time to get dressed, be professional,
and she shows up at her desk as if she's
211
:waiting for, as if she's expecting the
next client to, you know, get on a call.
212
:Like that version of me.
213
:Does her hair, does her makeup, and
gets dressed and ready for the day.
214
:That version of me is ready to go so that
when she's sitting at her desk, she feels
215
:like she's taking herself seriously.
216
:So for me, one of the things I told myself
was like, okay, this version of me, she
217
:does her hair often and she's, and, and
for, so I wanted to like sit with that
218
:version of myself, and I took myself
so seriously, guys that I wore heels.
219
:Under my desk and there was
something that was like, it was.
220
:It was like, I don't know,
what's the word I'm looking for?
221
:It was like communicating to my brain.
222
:Like as I was sitting there wearing heels,
it was like my brain was registering
223
:that as like, okay, it's go time.
224
:It's game time.
225
:And I showed up differently.
226
:I showed up differently.
227
:And what's so fascinating is I kept
sitting with like, okay, now what
228
:else does that version of me do?
229
:And I was like, well, that
version of me goes out and meets
230
:people, connects with people.
231
:And also, you know, at
the time when I was doing.
232
:Sales calls, you know, I was
selling these big packages and you
233
:know, selling like 5,000, $10,000
packages, a thousand dollars packages.
234
:And so when I was getting on these sales
calls, I know for me, like I had to fully
235
:let go of my expectation or my need.
236
:For them to pay me.
237
:So I came to every call like, I'm
just gonna serve these clients and
238
:the best way I know how a lot of
people are gonna say no, and I'm okay.
239
:And so there I was selling this, you
know, high ticket, high ticket offer, and.
240
:Sitting with my, what I
called my 200 k self, like the
241
:self that makes that a year.
242
:And so when I came to these sales
calls, I came as that version of
243
:myself and I thought, okay, the,
the person who makes consistently
244
:20 KA month, how does she handle.
245
:Someone saying no.
246
:How does she handle a
sales call going sideways?
247
:How does she handle someone
saying, no, I'm not ready to
248
:join you today, but thank you.
249
:How does she handle that?
250
:I'm like, oh, well, she
takes it in stride because.
251
:She knows the money's coming in.
252
:Like she's just not worried
she makes 20 KA month.
253
:Why?
254
:She knows that she's okay and she'll,
she handles these calls with Grace.
255
:So what was interesting is I
was able to let go of all of
256
:my need and all of my scarcity.
257
:When I was coming to these calls
and I was able to be fully present
258
:with a client, and I was like, okay,
I'm, I was there as my future self.
259
:I was meeting the client exactly where
they were, and my brain was quiet,
260
:meaning my brain wasn't chattering in the
background while I was serving someone.
261
:My brain wasn't like, we
better close the sale.
262
:We need this offer.
263
:We need this client.
264
:We.
265
:We need this.
266
:If we're gonna hit our goals, we
need this, if we're gonna do that.
267
:And if you, and if you don't do it, that
you know there's something wrong with you.
268
:Like my brain was so quiet and I was
able to be fully present with the person
269
:I was serving at the time because I
was on that call as my future self.
270
:And I was embodying that
and I was living that.
271
:And so, and I remember as I was like,
as I kept having success, like soon.
272
:Like the result, the results
did show up in that way.
273
:And I was like, okay, this is working.
274
:And every single milestone, every
single new milestone in my business
275
:I sat with like, okay, how does that
version of me show up in the world?
276
:And I remember, um, my bestie and
I, Samantha and I, we went to.
277
:The St.
278
:Regis, I think it was the St.
279
:Regis in Aspen, and we went
there together for, and we were
280
:there for a business event.
281
:And it was my first time ever
having a five star experience.
282
:And I remember feeling very triggered,
feeling very like, oh my gosh, I
283
:don't know what I'm doing here.
284
:I was like, I think the
Kardashians stayed at this place.
285
:And I remember at that point I had
surpassed my first goal and I was sitting
286
:with a, a new future vision, a new goal.
287
:And I remember going to the hotel.
288
:I'm like, okay, but what does.
289
:You know, I, I think it was, I, at
that point, I think I was working
290
:on my millionaire future self.
291
:I'm like, okay, the future self
that makes a million dollars a year,
292
:how does she walk into this hotel?
293
:How does she handle, you know, investment?
294
:How does she do those things?
295
:And that was when I had joined a big,
you know, high ticket mastermind and.
296
:I kept sitting with like every time I
felt uncomfortable I realized it was
297
:because my current version of myself
was feeling uncomfortable because
298
:I was like, oh, this is growth.
299
:I'm gonna grow into this.
300
:I'm gonna give myself permission
to order room service.
301
:And I was so triggered, you guys.
302
:I thought it was just so
crazy and it was so funny.
303
:Like, Samantha, we still laugh about this.
304
:Like I packed a milk frother.
305
:Because I wanted, I was like, oh, I
really want like froth milk with my
306
:coffee and I packed a milk frother, not
realizing that a five star hotel, the St.
307
:Regis, they can bring you froth
milk whenever you want it.
308
:But there I was like living
in these two realities.
309
:Re still remembering what it felt like
to deeply struggle what it felt like to,
310
:you know, feel like my, um, feeling so,
so financially insecure to now being in
311
:this place where I'm in a five star hotel.
312
:I'm trying to figure out this new reality.
313
:I still packed a milk frother because
I, you know, didn't know that they
314
:would pick, that they would bring the
froth milk, but I just remember it like.
315
:We were ordering room service, and I
remember like my inner self was like
316
:screaming like, this is, this is too much.
317
:I can't do this.
318
:This is very indulgent.
319
:And I remember like, okay, I'm gonna
be with that part of myself because
320
:I think that's still like the scarce.
321
:Kristen that's speaking up in this
moment, and I'm was like, okay, now what
322
:would future Kristen do in this moment?
323
:How would she view room service?
324
:How would she view this experience?
325
:How would she view this business event?
326
:How would she view those things?
327
:And it helped inform, listen, when
you sit with your future self, it
328
:helps inform your present actions.
329
:And when you're taking actions that align
with your future self, eventually your
330
:future self becomes your present self.
331
:I know that sounds crazy, but that
is what happened over and over
332
:and over and over again for me.
333
:And it helped become a filter
for all decisions in my business.
334
:So when it came for me, it, when it
came time for me to hire someone to
335
:come and work for me in my business,
when I hired my first, first virtual
336
:assistant and she was like $50 an
hour and she's, she was amazing.
337
:And I was like, okay.
338
:And I remember feeling like a
little scarce around that being
339
:like, wow, I'm gonna be paying
this person like, you know.
340
:Up to $2,000 a month, and I just remember
feeling a little scarce, feeling a little
341
:worried, a little anxious, and then I
was like, okay, but let's just go visit
342
:my future business and my future self.
343
:What does my future self have
to say about this decision?
344
:I'm like, oh.
345
:This person, the, the future version
of me doesn't even batt an eyelash.
346
:She hires this person.
347
:She also knows that money is coming in.
348
:She understands the value of outsourcing,
understands the value of delegation.
349
:So of course she's gonna do that.
350
:And what was interesting is for
me, like some of you might think
351
:like there's investments of like.
352
:Investing with a coach, investing in a
program, investing in ongoing education.
353
:But then there's the investment going into
your business, investing in your company.
354
:And for me, I've had to really grow
my investment muscle with my company.
355
:It started with a virtual
assistant and then it was like,
356
:you know, a podcast producer.
357
:And then for a while I think it was
just those two for, for quite some time.
358
:Then as the company grew, we're like,
oh, we need another virtual assistant.
359
:We need a program manager.
360
:We need support coaches.
361
:We need those.
362
:I need a web designer.
363
:I need a videographer.
364
:I need an ADS team.
365
:I need an ads consultant.
366
:And I just kept growing my
company understanding, okay,
367
:in order for me to get.
368
:Where I'm going, I do need
to, I do need to outsource.
369
:I need do, need to outsource,
I need to hire people.
370
:And, you know, I kept, again, I kept
bringing my future self into my present
371
:and asking myself, well, what is the, the
future version of me do in this moment?
372
:What would they think
about in this moment?
373
:And it's amazing the quality of decisions
you will make with your actions.
374
:When you are constantly
bringing your future self into
375
:the present moment, and it's.
376
:It's been crazy.
377
:I'm telling you like this might be one
of the best exercises that you can do.
378
:Now for you, you might be like, Kristen,
I can't wrap my mind around 200 K.
379
:In fact, that feels very, um, maybe
that's a very triggering number for you.
380
:Maybe that doesn't feel safe for you.
381
:And I do think at some point I am
gonna be doing like a money mindset
382
:masterclass because it is hands
down the number one thing I'm asked.
383
:All the time from people from
many different walks of life.
384
:And for me it was like one of the biggest
areas that I had to heal was my money
385
:mindset before I even started out.
386
:So it could be very easy to hear my
story and think, well, of course your
387
:money mindset is great because you
know, your company does so well now.
388
:But truthfully, in the beginning,
you guys, in my mindset it was,
389
:I had to overcome that early.
390
:In fact, I think I did two years
of money mindset work before I.
391
:Charge my first dime as a coach and
think, I'm so glad I did that work.
392
:So I'll probably talk
about that in the future.
393
:So maybe for you, 200 K
feels very triggering.
394
:It feels unsafe, it
feels like morally wrong.
395
:You don't feel safe to
make that in the world.
396
:Um, maybe you feel like you're
gonna lose relationships.
397
:That version of you.
398
:So, you know, instead of like
getting triggered to death where
399
:you're not even taking any action,
I want you to sit with a goal that.
400
:Feels like, okay, I'm, I'm triggered.
401
:It would stretch me.
402
:So maybe for you it's thinking
of like making 50,000 a year
403
:with your online business.
404
:Maybe for you that you're like,
oh my gosh, that would be like
405
:extraordinary money for me.
406
:That would be life changing
money for my family.
407
:I just want you to you to
discover that for yourself.
408
:Like what is it for you?
409
:What is your goal according to your
family, your lifestyle, the future
410
:you wanna create for your kids?
411
:And maybe some of you, you're like, I
have never given myself permission to
412
:dream past, you know, 50 KA year, because
you might be thinking like, that's
413
:appropriate, that's acceptable, you know?
414
:Um, I won't lose relationships at that.
415
:And we can, again, I feel like
that topic in and of itself
416
:is a whole nother podcast.
417
:A I could do a training.
418
:Just on that.
419
:In fact, I might.
420
:So again, just sitting with like,
okay, so for you it might be like.
421
:Or it might be 20,000 a year in your
network marketing business, it might be
422
:50,000 a year, your first year as a coach
being like, wow, that would be amazing.
423
:So sitting with that version of you,
like that version of me who's making
424
:X dollars a year, who's serving this
many clients, or who has a team that's
425
:this big, how do they think about this
circumstance in this present moment?
426
:Because when you're acting from
your present self over and over
427
:again, your presence stays the same.
428
:Because you're responding
as that version of you.
429
:So for example, if you're making a
thousand dollars a month and you wanna be
430
:making $5,000 a month, and every time you
come across a problem you have to make
431
:a decision and you keep making decisions
and taking actions from your thousand
432
:dollar a month self-concept or way of
thinking, then you're ke gonna keep making
433
:a thousand dollars a month because your
actions are aligned with that identity.
434
:But if you were sitting with like, okay.
435
:What does the person who's making
$5,000 a month, the person, how,
436
:how would they think about this?
437
:How would they approach this problem?
438
:What solution might they come up with?
439
:How would they approach this?
440
:How would they talk about this?
441
:Suddenly, you are responding differently
than you would have if you, when you were
442
:thinking about it from your current self.
443
:This is why really getting intimate
with your future self is vital.
444
:Some of your, you're, you're just so in
touch with your present self and living in
445
:the present that you're like, future self.
446
:What's that?
447
:But I'm telling you guys, I do this all
the time and I, I just did this recently.
448
:I had a VIP day with one of my
mentors and he's just, he's great.
449
:And we did probably this three
hour long, three hours really
450
:sitting with my future self.
451
:It was emotional, like it was so
emotional to get to know that version
452
:of me and to sit in a room like it was,
like my visualization was so intense
453
:that I had an emotional response to it
and I was sitting, I felt like I was
454
:sitting in a room with my future self.
455
:I don't know how much older that
future self was, but I was sitting
456
:with that future self and how
she was showing up in the world.
457
:I, you guys, I could even tell you
what she was wearing, what, what she
458
:looked like, how she was moving around
in the world, what her social media
459
:platforms looked like, what her content
looked like, and I was like, oh.
460
:And I sat with that version
of myself for three hours.
461
:Until it felt inevitable.
462
:I'm like, I not only see her, I know her.
463
:I love her and I'm gonna invite her
into my present now, and she's gonna
464
:help me start making some decisions.
465
:If you do this in your business,
if you do, even if you do this in
466
:any area of your life, honestly.
467
:Do it in your marriage,
do it in your friendships.
468
:I want you to think of like, okay,
the most happy, vibrant, alive,
469
:joyful, grateful version of me,
the person who is in love with her
470
:life, even if the circumstances
never change, how does she show up?
471
:The person who's in love with her life,
my most vibrant self, how does she show?
472
:In, in their relationships,
in their friendships, in, you
473
:know, in my friend groups to my
workout routines, to in my home.
474
:That, that version of me, right,
it's again, it's allowing your
475
:future self to inform your present
decisions instead of your present self.
476
:Continuing to make your present
decisions and staying there.
477
:Do you guys see what I'm talking about?
478
:This exercise of getting intimate
with your future self will completely
479
:change your life if you do it.
480
:And maybe some of you are like
living in the reality that
481
:you wanted for a long time.
482
:And this happens with, this
happens with a lot of people like.
483
:They will set out a goal and
they'll reach the goal, and then
484
:suddenly they just stay there.
485
:And oftentimes it's because they need
to cast new vision for the next goal.
486
:They need to birth a new Y and they need
to burst, you know, burst through some.
487
:Some limitations they have
about feeling safe to have more.
488
:This, I see this a lot with, um, six
figure earners that like a lot of
489
:people do get to six figures and they
say now more than ever in today's day
490
:and age, it's easier than ever to,
you know, hit six figures and just
491
:like, let that soak in today for you.
492
:Instead of like, it's impossible
for me, just let it soak in, like.
493
:I'm in a, I'm living in a day, day and
age when it's more possible than ever,
494
:like just soak that in for a second.
495
:But what happens is I see a lot of
people get stuck there because they
496
:created the goal, they get there,
and then they kind of settle into it
497
:instead of challenging themselves.
498
:Like, okay, I can, I
allow myself to have more?
499
:Or they hit their first why and
they haven't birthed a new why.
500
:This happens in my mastermind.
501
:A lot of times people in my mastermind, we
have to help them find a new why because
502
:they already achieved their first why?
503
:Like a lot of them were like, okay,
I wanted to retire my husband, or I
504
:wanted to quit my nine to five and I
wanted to this to be my full-time thing.
505
:They get to six figures, so
their original goal is there.
506
:And then it's like they need to
get innovative and imaginative
507
:and allow themselves to feel
safe to have another goal.
508
:And it's, and it's so fascinating
the stories that people have
509
:when it comes to going for more.
510
:So friends, I just wanna encourage
you, take some time today, get
511
:out a sheet of paper and I want
you to sit with your future self.
512
:Self that's making you know, you
decide, put it down on the top of the
513
:paper, and I want you to ask yourself
questions about that version of you.
514
:How do they show up?
515
:How do they solve problems?
516
:How does this person write content?
517
:How does this person handle nos?
518
:How does this person handle rejection?
519
:How does this person handle
defeat in their business?
520
:How does this person handle haters?
521
:How does this person show up in their
relationships, their friendships?
522
:How does this person problem solve?
523
:Do this.
524
:I don't care where you have to tape
up that paper, but put it up somewhere
525
:where you see it so that when you are
in a moment that feels hard, that feels
526
:challenging, you look at that paper
and say, and inviting your future self
527
:into that, into that conversation and
into that decision and saying, okay,
528
:I know what this current version of
me wants to do, but I'm gonna sit with
529
:my future self and see if my decisions
might look different when I'm viewing
530
:it through the lens of my future self.
531
:I guarantee you it 100% will.
532
:I hope you have fun doing this exercise
because it is worth it and it's one.
533
:It truly is one of the most
transf transformative habits I
534
:have in my business that I still
continue to do to this day.
535
:Alright, friends, serve well.
536
:See you next episode.
537
:That wraps up today's episode.
538
:Hey, if you love today's show, I
would love for you to take a minute
539
:and give a rating with a review.
