First, evaluate every single thing you do or are invovled in
How to plan your limitations and tasks that need to be done?
Tracking your busy
Gaging what changes need to be made
Do you live where everyday “slaps you in the face”?
What is getting the time in your life?
List making, organizing and prioritizing tasks by due date
Lauren and Deanna being immature children for 30 secs
Setting reminders and utilizing the Notes app digitally
More likely to miss something when only using digital tools vs hybrid or just with physical tools
Don’t commit till you check your planner, text yourself to check planner and get back to that person who asked you to do something
Not carrying your planner on you all the time helps and gives you excuse to get back with them later, then asking them to text you about planning something instead
The necessary vs the urgent
Spiritual life takes priority
Productivity tools: time blocking, color coding, regrouping
Overwhelming and overextended ourselves
Intentional living requires effort, but yields fruit
A spiritual planner can actually end of being a testament/ proof of God’s faithfulness to you throughout the year that you can always go back and look to to be reminded that He was always working even when you didn't see or feel it at the time
“Consider the cost”
Boundaries = fences
What’s in your fence? What are you putting your boundaries around? What are you protecting and is it worth having the fence around it?
The goal of boundaries is Christ likeness
Where is your limit personally?
Caution for moms/grandparents: “make your boundary the boundary of your relationship with the Lord”
Parents teach their kids what’s in their “fence” by what they choose to spend their time on
A healthy boundary is not just an excuse to not do stuff you don’t want to do
A healthy boundary is a means of saying no to the lesser things, and gets hard when we deem marriage/family/work/selfcare on the same level of priority as the Lord
Boundaries serve to make the “yes’s” more clear and definitive
What are you going to let walk through your gate to cross the boundary of your fence?
Some season will have electric fences and some will have white picket fences
When you don’t have a fence, you let anything and everything just walk across the yard onto your porch and into your door
Not comparing other peoples fences to your own in different seasons + holding each other accountable with our fences
What to do when someone doesn’t respect your boundary
How many times do you let someone stomp on your boundary after you've been respectful and repeatedly asked them not to?
Get wise counsel before you cut people out of your life that are “toxic”
Don’t make a permanent decision amid temporary emotions
Think through the things you commit yourself to
Keep your committments!
Personal boundary examples
Paul “I will not give up the ministry of the Word to tend tables”
There is so much more freedom when you set boundaries with the Lord and learn to say “no” to lesser things so that you can say “yes” to better things
