Welcome back to Randy Unscripted.
:
I'm Randy Black, and this is episode 30 of NAPODPOMO 2025, the final episode of this
:
30-day journey to do 30 podcast episodes in 30 days.
:
And on the final episode here, I want to take a step back and reflect on the month as a whole
:
what it taught me, how it challenged me,
:
and how my faith and focus helped me to navigate not just this podcast journey,
:
but life itself during one of the hardest months I've ever experienced.
:
This month has been incredibly challenging, far more than I expected.
:
While recording a podcast every day is a test of discipline and of creativity,
:
And this month was marked by personal trial as well.
:
On day 24 of this month, my father-in-law passed away.
:
He had been in the hospital and had come home, but he passed away that morning.
:
And it's a reminder to me that life doesn't pause even when we're committed to our goals.
:
Despite the difficulty of that
:
I realized that the routine and focus that I had built through this challenge
:
Became a lifeline
:
Keeping the structure of recording and releasing episodes daily
:
Helped me navigate the chaos in our life for a couple days
:
And to maintain a sense of purpose and of control
:
as we work to navigate these new things.
:
What helped me keep going during this difficult time
:
was that need for routine and for focus.
:
The structure of NAPOD POMO and thinking of those ideas
:
and coming up with episodes
:
gave me a concrete way to channel my energy
:
and maintain the forward motion I created.
:
Beyond that, my faith played an extremely central role to everything that's happened since then.
:
Leaning on God gave me strength to be supportive for my wife, for her family, and all the while still keeping up with the goal I had set for myself.
:
Now, this goal was nowhere near as important as being there for them.
:
I don't want anybody to misconstrue what I'm saying there.
:
Because it's one thing to persevere when things are easy.
:
It's quite another to keep going when life throws heavy challenges at you.
:
This month reminded me that faith and discipline can carry us through even the most difficult seasons.
:
And that sometimes showing up consistently is an act of resilience in itself.
:
Through this whole process this month, I've learned several things about myself.
:
First is I can meet the goals I set when I plan and I commit.
:
Second is that my faith is strong and truly guides me through the most challenging times.
:
And third is that I can be the rock for others when they need me,
:
while still allowing myself the ability to grieve and to feel,
:
even when they don't see it.
:
It's a balance that ultimately isn't easy,
:
but it's one I've been able to practice through this month.
:
Napod Pomo taught me that perseverance isn't about perfection.
:
it's about showing up every day doing the work and trusting the process
:
and in the end that's what makes this achievement more meaningful
:
looking ahead I don't anticipate that this experience
:
of producing an episode every day for 30 days is going to drastically change my my approach to
:
podcasting. I've been consistent with Bible Bytes and was shooting it straight for some time,
:
and that rhythm's going to continue. But what it has reinforced is the value of commitment,
:
of showing up no matter what life throws at you, and of trusting that even during difficult times,
:
Consistency and faith produce results.
:
And for anyone who's considering NAPOD POMO or any other creative type challenge, here's my advice.
:
Just get started.
:
You never know what you can do until you put your voice out there.
:
It doesn't have to be perfect.
:
It just has to exist.
:
You improve by doing.
:
And this month proved to me that idea once again.
:
I want to thank anyone who's listened throughout this month of November 2025
:
as I've made this journey through NAPOD POMO 2025.
:
It's been a month of creativity, of perseverance, and of reflection.
:
And I'm grateful that I've been able to share that journey with you.
:
I hope that in some small way, my experience encourages you to push forward in your own challenges,
:
that you embrace consistency, and you trust your own faith as you move through life.
:
So here's to showing up every day and discovering just what it is that you're fully capable of.
