Rudy A. Zacharias is a communications and marketing leader with more than 25 years of experience shaping brands, strategies, and partnerships across government, corporate, and public-sector organizations. Over the course of his career, he has worked at the intersection of strategic planning, corporate communications, stakeholder relations, and organizational transformation, helping institutions navigate complex challenges while building stronger connections with the communities they serve.
Originally from Manitoba, Rudy’s journey began with a creative and curious upbringing that shaped his interest in storytelling, leadership, and public dialogue. His career would eventually take him into senior communications and marketing roles across both government and corporate environments, where he developed a reputation for thoughtful leadership and an ability to bridge perspectives across sectors.
Throughout his professional path, Rudy has held key leadership positions including Communications Officer and Senior Director roles, and he previously led the Marketing and Communications division at the Alberta Motor Transport Association. His work has spanned issues management, public participation, government relations, and strategic communications—fields where the ability to build trust and meaningful relationships often determines success.
Today, Rudy A. Zacharias is the President and CEO of About That, where he leads organizational strategy and helps clients navigate communications, brand development, and stakeholder engagement in an increasingly complex public landscape. Known for his collaborative leadership style and forward-thinking perspective, Rudy is committed to building partnerships that move organizations—and the people behind them—forward.
