Shownotes

The consumer landscape is completely changing in real estate, and about 80% of real estate agents aren’t really equipped for this. What is causing some of these big shifts? How can we prepare for this shift so we aren’t left fighting for scraps? How is the industry going to be split in terms of the level of service we offer? On this episode, I talk about preparing for a new age of real estate.

Instead of being a top producer, you must leverage yourself through organization and delegation, you must build a high performance real estate team (HPRET). -Lars Hedenborg

3 Things We Learned From This Episode

  • Increasingly savvy consumers are skeptical of real estate agents in general, demanding higher standards of expertise and customer service.
  • The industry is going to split 3 ways, premium advisors, package service providers leveraging technology and discount brokers.
  • Decisive, inspired, execution (DIE) is necessary for you to prepare for the upcoming shift.

People in our industry aren’t doing enough to capitalize on the shift that’s going to happen. This leaves us in danger of losing whatever foothold we have in the market and the consumer’s mind. If you can’t compete with people at the highest level, you’re going to be marginalized and become a discount broker. To avoid this, you have to be willing to align your service to decisive, inspired execution.
