Shownotes

I talk about the first part of the B.N.P. toolbox. I started blogging in 2002. A blog is still an important content creation tool for your own hub in cyberspace.

Transcripts

Martin:

Welcome to Tea Party media.

Martin:

I am Martin Lindiscog and today I'm recording

Martin:

it during the weekend.

Martin:

On Saturday.

Martin:

Got inspiration from listening to the board meeting with Adam Curry and Dave Jones of

Martin:

Podcasting 2.0.

Martin:

Podcast.

Martin:

And I had topped up my wallet thanks to Albi, Get Albi and a servicer called Moon Pay.

Martin:

And then I used a new podcast app called podverse and I wrote Digital Telegrams a boost

Martin:

to Gram with different comments during the live streaming live session and at the end,

Martin:

where Adam commented on my style, I had posted an Instagram photo with my baseball cap tie

Martin:

from Burberry with his trench coats and men in trench coats and hunting gear.

Martin:

He liked my style and comment on that and also his podcast.

Martin:

So to continue with this for the new year, again to be realistic, to do it on a regular

Martin:

basis and as I said in the previous episode, I have so many podcasts but you can't have too

Martin:

many as I said.

Martin:

Anyway doing this during the weekends,

Martin:

saturday, Sunday, Friday, late Friday, that could be listeners tuning in during the

Martin:

weekend and doing at least once a month but I want to have it more often so twice a month

Martin:

and then if I have something more to add.

Martin:

So the plan is to go through what I'm doing

Martin:

with my work as a new media advisor going through different things and then ongoing

Martin:

updates, thoughts, comments, tips and tricks applications regarding new podcast apps and

Martin:

the Value for Value model and the Podcasting 2.0 initiative.

Martin:

So that's what I'm planning to do.

Martin:

Then I will also getting other podcasts up and

Martin:

running relaunching as I said.

Martin:

So one thing that will be on my last

Martin:

forthcoming site, Tea Party Media is the BNP toolkit or toolbox and it's play with words.

Martin:

BNP is gross domestic product in Swedish brutonatronolproductin and you could use

Martin:

different tools as it is a tool and you could then change or add tools or what what not.

Martin:

But foremost, first and foremost I'm a blogger, I started blogging in 2002 and I

Martin:

think it goes well with podcasting.

Martin:

You record an audio, you have show notes, you

Martin:

have transcripts, you have links that you could create a blog post that's linked to this

Martin:

episode.

Martin:

I've been thinking of how to use it and how to

Martin:

mix and match and get it together and that is something that you test out over time.

Martin:

So blogging is the first letter in B and P and I've seen new services coming up that is

Martin:

focused especially for podcasters on one service is called Podcast Page and that could

Martin:

be one tool to test.

Martin:

And then of course for my first podcast,

Martin:

Egonet Cost, I'm using Squarespace and for my site here, Media, I will use WordPress and

Martin:

that's something to think about I think.

Martin:

Still, blogging is valid and it's a great

Martin:

thing to do like your own blog or web blog or log book that you have during your journey or

Martin:

on a boat where word is coming from log, what happened during the day and so on.

Martin:

So blogging, that's a thing.

Martin:

So what's your thoughts on blogging?

Martin:

Have you been blogging? Do you read blogs, do you comment on blogs, do

Martin:

you share blog posts? And also what do you think about that?

Martin:

Together with podcast, how could that work? And I will include some links to some posts.

Martin:

Often I see now people are using a service called Medium.

Martin:

I think it's a guy that's linked to Twitter or worked previously on a Twitter is having and I

Martin:

have a premium account and it's something that I will talk about more.

Martin:

Also some years ago when I handed over my first Twitter account or username Lyseum, and

Martin:

now I have Lysum Peripatos Aristotle school in Athens, Greece and then Peripatos also another

Martin:

name for the school.

Martin:

And also what they did, they walked this way

Martin:

at Lyseum at the school and peripherals they were walking around and talking with their

Martin:

students and the teachers and having these discussions, conversations, debates,

Martin:

discourses, et cetera.

Martin:

So that's a plan for next year.

Martin:

But again I'm thinking what should I use the Medium for my page?

Martin:

Where on Medium blog, should it be unique material, should it be reposted from other

Martin:

sources, other blogs that I have or what could I use this for?

Martin:

I already have several, I think it's hundreds following my counter glyceum on Medium.

Martin:

And I have heard about new features that they have on Medium.

Martin:

Like you could clap, like a positive thumbs up and you could comment and then you could also

Martin:

earn money.

Martin:

I think in order if you continue to write post

Martin:

on Mediums, I will look into that more in the near future.

Martin:

But again, we're coming back to that, how often, when, how long, different hubs and

Martin:

different satellites and keep it up.

Martin:

So that's something to think about.

Martin:

Again, repeating a podcast and a blog goes well together hand in hand.

Martin:

And then we have the third thing and that's the newsletter and that I will talk a bit

Martin:

about in the upcoming episodes.

Martin:

So I think that's good for now.

Martin:

And I will include show notes, you could say then with notes to self and using his note

Martin:

cards and also the t part of his site name, t Party Media.

Martin:

And I will use this in order to you could remember the site and it's play with words and

Martin:

also the parts of my values and my life and what I'm interested in tea, the beverage and

Martin:

to have new media and then of course to have fun, to have a party and so on.

Martin:

So with that I'd say cheerio and talk to you soon again.

Martin:

Bye for now and coming back here.

Martin:

So call to Action is to subscribe follow my

Martin:

blog on Tea Party Media and now you could also do that on the ego net cost I have a site on

Martin:

squarespace, as I said, and come back to the tool there and the engine.

Martin:

You could say RSS Really Simple Syndication or Rich site Summary are often orange icon with

Martin:

dot and two waveforms, so that's an important role in Podcasting 20 initiative and in

Martin:

podcasting as such, the RSS feed and also in blogging thing to keep you notified when you

Martin:

have new posts published and new episodes published.

Martin:

So talk soon again.

Martin:

Cheerio bye for now.
