I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

Been traveling this week. And it got me thinking about how many people I know that have picked up their life and move to a whole other town, city, sometimes country, sometimes the other side of the world, and the impact that has on people from a grief perspective. And it can be anything from that extreme to changing jobs where you go from one environment to another. It can be anything from moving, particularly as a child, they can have a massive impact. And it's the ongoing implications of that, which are usually so hard for us to acknowledge or even realize that are there. Until we have those moments where we just feel like we're missing something, we don't feel like we have everything that we're meant to in our life. I'll give you an example of a client that I worked, I've worked with a few times actually. And he was born in Spain and came here from quite a young age and had to assimilate into Australian culture in primary school. Without speaking in English, now that just blows my mind, like moving would be hard enough. But without throwing that into the mix. It's really, it really is impactful.

And it was impacting him still, in later years, from a whole different circumstances around what was comfortable for him where he was restricted from making changes from moving from moving on from different things. And that's the case for all of us when we have these moments. I know for me, when I left Fox Sports, there was a few years there were subconsciously, my mind was still there. And I remember getting that come to the surface when I was working with with a kinesiologist. And and and we were just talking about their different part of my life and how I still had a number of blocks there because I was still essentially there in my mind at that unconscious subconscious level. And so these patterns are playing out for us in so many different ways. And if you're if you have been someone like that, who you know that there's been some significant move, or maybe not even that significant move in the big scheme of things, there's still playing out for you, just taking the time to recognize that it's going to be really a valuable experience. And then it's thinking a little bit deeper, and thinking well, what can I change what actually is it that I'm missing from that original environment that I'm feeling like that I can only create if I go back there, or that I'm feeling so hurt because of what I haven't got from that experience. Because part of it is is that were taken from this environment, whether by choice or by circumstance, or may be completely out of our control. And part of us still hungers for that the elements of that environment that were just so good. So for me, I think back to those moments of my childhood traveling when had my parents present and had those some of those magic moments of visiting my my grandparents in another city where we would often go and just those awesome childhood memories that in so many ways I would love to be able to recreate try and recreate it with my kids but there's also this something that just not without those moments still in my life I feel a little bit lost or feel a bit incomplete. And so finding ways to recreate those magic moments to bring more of that childhood joy into my life is just so Pong.

Now for some of you might have been making the move at a much older age, and that still can have an impact. And there might be part of you, it's like, you know, we can recreate these different elements, but it's still not home, it's still not really home. And they can eat away at us from the inside. So how do we do something about that? Well, part of it is getting really clear on what what are we what did we love, what do we want to be able to have, and then it's just being a little bit more curious about what might be showing up for you. That still doesn't feel like they've got that fulfillment that doesn't feel complete, doesn't feel whole and, and starting to use that curiosity to see if you can create your own environment, in Parliament, your own environment that has all of those elements. Because ultimately, we can create any sort of environment that we want. If we put our minds on, to get curious, and start recreating that feeling of home, that sense of home or that sense of whatever it was about that particular environment that you know, is not part of your life anymore, and perhaps still playing out a need to have part of that brought back into your life. I've just thought of another one for me. And that was really, when I left. Fox Sports was the camaraderie in the in the office and the laughter like we used to laugh a lot. And it was a fun place to work. And we had a really good team. And there was a few of us, in particular, the same quirky sense of humor and, and so being able to create more circumstances now my wife or I've got what I'm prioritizing that laughter in that company has been such a big an important shift for me that really took me a few years to realize how I could do that. So yeah, it's absolutely possible, get curious journal on it, and then look for what opportunities will show themselves to provide a solution and create more of that in your life.
