Shownotes

There comes a season in life where you’ve planned everything out and your course seems to be going in a straight line and suddenly, everything goes wayward. Challenges begin to pile up and you don’t know which one to deal with first. When all the doors are being shut, it might be a sign for you to take an alternate course.

Today we are joined by Shana Sissel, Founder, President, & CEO of Banríon Capital Management, the Queen of Alternatives, Mrs. Illinois Intl 2020, and Co-Host of The Black Swans Podcast. Shana joined us in Episode 89 where she showed us why women should be in the field of finance. A lot has changed since the last time she was here on the show! In this episode, she gets candid and shares the challenges she overcame in the past months leading her to start Banríon Capital Management.

Shana talks about the challenge of overcoming problems, and beginning an alternate path to achieve the goals she has for herself, her son, and for the industry. With her company, she wants to help both advisors and clients navigate through the world of alternative investments by providing advisors all the tools and databases they need to build alternative portfolios.

The path you take whether it be in life or in your investments doesn’t need to be the same as everyone else, or what other people expect of you, you just have to focus on the alternate path and investments that best works for you!
