In 1968, the poor, working class suburb of Scotswood was shocked and heartbroken by the murder of two young boys in the space of two months: four-year-old Martin Brown and three-year-old Brian Howe. But this was nothing compared to the horror when it was revealed their killer was an 11 year old neighbour, Mary Bell.
