Shownotes
In this episode, Grant McHerron talks with Aaron Di Noia, electronics engineer, and Gavin Henry, business development manager, who are both from Thales Australia, along with Associate Professor Adrian Wills at the University of Newcastle. The discussion covers the importance of collaborating with Australian universities and supporting their students in order to expand the skillset of the next generation and advance the Defence industry.
We get an insight into how Thales is currently undertaking these initiatives through the Robot X competition and their autonomous systems projects. The discussion also explores the benefits of collaboration between industry service providers, as well as the competition and legislation hurdles involved in these relationships.
