:Welcome back to another edition
of the Daily Bible Podcast.
3
:Hello.
4
:Hello.
5
:Monday, November 10th.
6
:We are trucking our way
through November already.
7
:That's right.
8
:By the way, we are planning, I've had some
people ask everyone is asking actually.
9
:Of course they are.
10
:We are planning to do the Turkey
bowl again on Thanksgiving morning.
11
:Oh.
12
:And so, yeah, we're, I
had not heard about that.
13
:We're getting that lined up.
14
:We're gonna get the the park
space from Frontier Park again.
15
:And I believe we're trying to get it
reserved from seven to 11, so I don't know
16
:exactly the details of when we'll gather
there to hang out and play, but if you'd
17
:like to do that, we'd love to have you
and hopefully you'll you'll enjoy that.
18
:You know where I am right now as
people are listening to this, probably.
19
:Lemme guess.
20
:You're at the roller rink.
21
:I'm not at the roller rink.
22
:That is a good guess.
23
:That is not where you're at.
24
:Don't bear 'em all.
25
:Shocking.
26
:I'm not there either.
27
:I'll go ahead and tell you.
28
:You are camping on, you're
camping in front of Lowe's
29
:for their Black Friday sales.
30
:Yeah, the new Lowe's.
31
:That's not even yet the new one.
32
:Yeah, that's where I'm you are at Sephora.
33
:Buying the latest line of
fashion and makeup for your wife?
34
:I would've for her birthday,
which was in October.
35
:. Well, for next year.
36
:You're ahead of the game.
37
:I'm just that early.
38
:You're that early on those things.
39
:I am actually, you are at, go ahead.
40
:I'm with Mike Clementi and Paul Peon
and we are playing golf at this Experian
41
:golf tournament over at the Cowboys Club,
which it's apparently supposed to be like
42
:32 degrees overnight on Sunday night.
43
:That's awesome.
44
:So.
45
:Good.
46
:I'm likely very cold in
doing that right now, too.
47
:Well, but no, Mike asked me to play
and I was happy to lend my presence.
48
:I don't know how if I'm lending any skill
to that, but to lend my presence to that.
49
:So it should be fun.
50
:Yeah.
51
:How many holes are you guys playing?
52
:All 18, believe it or not.
53
:18.
54
:All 18.
55
:You gonna be there all day?
56
:Well, no, it's 'cause it, it's a,
so we used to play in the Focal
57
:point tournament occasionally.
58
:Oh yes.
59
:And that was 18, but that
would start later in the day.
60
:This one, it's 8:30 AM is go
time, so we're gonna be done by
61
:like 2:00 PM probably in, I'm
tired just thinking about it.
62
:Yeah, in cold.
63
:I'm not cold about that.
64
:Well, it can be indoors, but
I am tired about just nah.
65
:Yeah.
66
:God bless you on that.
67
:Yeah, it'll be fun.
68
:It.
69
:Yeah.
70
:Who's doing it?
71
:You, Mike.
72
:And who else?
73
:Paul Pay.
74
:Paul Payon.
75
:Okay.
76
:Yeah.
77
:So who's carrying the
weight on this thing?
78
:I don't know.
79
:Paul's son, Tim beat me the other day.
80
:That's true.
81
:I mean, that was about a month ago now.
82
:But that beat you up?
83
:Yeah, he did.
84
:He beat me up.
85
:Yep.
86
:Is there a cash prize for top billing?
87
:There's There are prizes.
88
:There are prizes.
89
:There are prizes.
90
:Yes.
91
:Cyber truck?
92
:Yes.
93
:Yeah.
94
:Which if I win shopping, if I win
a cyber truck, we will wrap it.
95
:Encompass Bible Church swag, gear.
96
:Why can't you do that
with your current car?
97
:I just, you know, I don't know.
98
:So you could do it is what you're saying?
99
:I could do it, yes.
100
:Well, why not just do that then?
101
:Let's do it.
102
:I could do that.
103
:How about as a Christmas
gift to our church?
104
:Yeah.
105
:We design.
106
:The wrap and then you put it on your car.
107
:This is a, this is a, we and a you.
108
:i would, I have to lend my
leadership to the cause.
109
:Of course.
110
:I, someone's gotta lend oversight
and I'm happy to offer my services.
111
:So we will design a wrap for your
car and then you get it installed.
112
:And this seems in honor of your church.
113
:I don't know if I can fully, we've
known each other for a while now,
114
:and I just, I think I know you well
enough to know that I don't know that I
115
:trust that I, it would honor the Lord.
116
:I know that much.
117
:I just, it's, I could
only see good things here.
118
:Okay.
119
:All right.
120
:Well, we'll wait and see on that one.
121
:Okay.
122
:We'll wait and see.
123
:Speaking of good things though,
let's get into God's word together.
124
:Would you like that transition there?
125
:That was good.
126
:Probably not, but that's okay.
127
:Luke 22.
128
:In John 13, we got two chapters.
129
:And a little bit of whiplash here because
Luke 22 is going to cover a lot of ground.
130
:John 13 is gonna begin to zoom in.
131
:John 13, and then tomorrow's reading
as well, John 14 through 17 all
132
:is gonna deal with the upper room.
133
:And so, like I said yesterday,
you've got the synoptics, Matthew,
134
:mark, and Luke that are treating
this more rapidly rapid fire.
135
:Here's what's happening.
136
:Luke is like that.
137
:And so we pick up and we start
reading a lot of what we talked about.
138
:Yesterday, you've got
the plot to kill Jesus.
139
:You've got Judas deciding
that he's gonna do this.
140
:Luke records for us in
Luke 22, verse three.
141
:Then Satan entered into Judas as Scarritt.
142
:And so that's interesting because he does
talk about Satan entering into Judas.
143
:John's gonna record that Satan
entered into Judas during
144
:the upper room meal there.
145
:And so it's possible.
146
:Remember, Satan is not omnipresent.
147
:So it's not like the Holy Spirit
who can indwell believers in
148
:multiple places at multiple times.
149
:It's possible this is a both end.
150
:It's possible that Judas was in,
in dwell by Satan to go and strike
151
:the deal with the religious leaders
of the Jews to betray Jesus.
152
:And then Satan left Judas.
153
:And then when Judas was in the
upper room, Satan reentered
154
:Judas at that point as well.
155
:So it's possible you could have
Luke and John both saying the
156
:same things and they're both true.
157
:'cause Satan was not.
158
:Taking up a permanent
residence inside of Judas.
159
:At this point, do demonic forces, or I
guess any force, demonic or otherwise,
160
:do these guys still inhabit people?
161
:And if so, who and how do you know
if someone is inhabited by Satan?
162
:Yeah.
163
:Yes.
164
:Is the short answer they,
they do a hundred percent.
165
:And the question is to.
166
:Who I think we can at least bifurcate
and say, this is gonna be unbelievers.
167
:That the demons cannot inhabit the
body of a believer because the Holy
168
:Spirit inhabits the body of a believer.
169
:So take in residence, right?
170
:The Holy Spirit is not going
to allow a demon to take up
171
:residence within next to him.
172
:In other words not gonna
be neighbors, right?
173
:For the unbeliever they can expose
themselves to demonic possession.
174
:And that does still happen today.
175
:And I think it probably happens more
often than we give it credit for.
176
:And I think we see, and I'm not.
177
:I don't wanna paint with a broad
brush and say this is every
178
:instance of, mental health issues.
179
:But I do think some mental health issues
are a result of demonic possession,
180
:or at least demonic oppression.
181
:And I think there's other instances of
this that take place in more traditional
182
:ways that we see in the scriptures.
183
:In other areas of the world.
184
:I think one of the reasons why we don't
see that as much here in our country is
185
:because we are such a left-brained people.
186
:We look for logic.
187
:We are still by and large a product of the
enlightenment, the industrial revolution.
188
:We are a scientific people.
189
:And so this is not Satan's tactic is not
to take the person and cause 'em to foam
190
:at the mouth and fall down at our feet.
191
:Here, it's much more to cause us to
look at things that are demonic and
192
:turn to other resources to try to deal
with those rather than to turn to.
193
:The spiritual realm that
we should be dealing with.
194
:So it's almost like he's pulled
our, the wool over our eyes.
195
:The spiritual realm is still very
much at work right now, but we're
196
:like, we're a culture that might
think of itself as too smart , to
197
:give itself over to such things.
198
:Yeah, and it's also very possible too,
that you could have so many of these
199
:physical observations that you can make
about, oh they're, this kind of medication
200
:tends to help them with these things.
201
:My point, I guess what I'm
getting at is that there's this.
202
:Physical component to these things
and there's a spiritual component.
203
:Yeah.
204
:And to say that there's one is not
to say that there's not another in
205
:other words, they're compatible ideas.
206
:You could say there's physical elements
and there's spiritual elements.
207
:Okay.
208
:Satan entering Judases Gart,
does he still do this today?
209
:Does Satan do it himself
or is it just a demons?
210
:Yeah, I can't see why he wouldn't.
211
:Uh uh But again, he's
not omnipresent and so.
212
:Even just that idea, the old
thing, well, Satan made me do it.
213
:Yeah.
214
:We would say, number one, even
demons don't make you do anything.
215
:It's still your choice to sin.
216
:But the tempting of believers
and unbelievers alike.
217
:And then for possession Satan has
his demons at his disposal, but he's
218
:only one entity, one created being.
219
:So he can't be everywhere at once.
220
:And so he can still inhabit people.
221
:And I'm sure he does.
222
:And that's a frightening thought when
you think about who that might be.
223
:World leaders, you think about things
going on, on, on international scenes
224
:and geopolitics and how he might be as
the prince of the power of the air of
225
:this world, the god of this world, as
he might be moving chess pieces again
226
:under the sovereign purview of God.
227
:But it's frightening to think about
him still at work in that sense.
228
:When people have.
229
:Homes or places where things are going
bump in the night, they're hearing voices,
230
:they're hearing knocks, things like that.
231
:And let's say, it's one of those places
or it's an old home when there's weird
232
:stuff that's always happened, doors open
and close, and all those sorts of things.
233
:Now, should we conclude that
it's always a demon or something?
234
:Is it possible that people are
coming back from the dead to, to
235
:give comfort to a family, to say,
Hey, look, I'm, I died, but I'm okay.
236
:I just wanna let you know I'm fine.
237
:You know?
238
:So some people will see their dead
relatives floating down the hallway.
239
:A Misty like figure.
240
:Other people will just hear
the knocks and hear things like
241
:that happening in their home.
242
:Is that anything to be concerned about?
243
:Should we assume that's a demon?
244
:Is it the parents art, not the parent?
245
:Is it a relative?
246
:What do we do with those things?
247
:Yeah, I would say I don't think
it is the relative, in fact, even
248
:in the Old Testament, when we have
the example of Saul going to the
249
:medium to raise stamps, Endor yeah.
250
:The witch of Endor, there's questions
among interpreters as to whether
251
:or not that was really Samuel Yeah.
252
:Or whether that was a
demonic being mm-hmm.
253
:That, that was appearing before Saul.
254
:We know that the testimony of scripture
First Corinthians talks about this
255
:as well as Second Corinthians chapter
four to be absent from the body,
256
:is to be present with the Lord,
second Corinthians four and five.
257
:So the person who dies here
is not coming back here.
258
:Even the story of the rich man and
Lazarus you have Lazarus or the
259
:rich man saying, Hey, send him back.
260
:And basically Abraham says, no.
261
:They have Moses.
262
:Nope.
263
:They're not gonna believe.
264
:Even if I was to send him back,
they're not gonna believe.
265
:So somebody's loved ones
are not coming back.
266
:If somebody's seeing apparitions
and things like that.
267
:I think there's very much to, to
say this could be a demon, this
268
:could be a ghost not a ghost.
269
:A demon that is, is appearing as a ghost
that's doing these things that we would
270
:call what's the word that they call it?
271
:It's not supernatural, but it's,
preternatural something like that.
272
:Okay.
273
:Yeah.
274
:So if you're we're saying then it's
possible that this is happening, that
275
:this is a real supernatural event
that's taking place, suppose then it's a
276
:Christian who isn't interacting with this.
277
:Yeah.
278
:What do you recommend that they do?
279
:Should they do anything?
280
:They call it pastor, if
this is happening to them.
281
:Yeah.
282
:They got the door knocking.
283
:There's weird things that are happening
in their home, and it's not explainable
284
:by, oh, there's just a draft of wind.
285
:It seems like there's something
more substantial happening.
286
:How would you counsel somebody about that?
287
:Yeah, I mean, prayer.
288
:Would be huge.
289
:I think there's an opportunity to
examine the perimeters of your life,
290
:just to make sure that there's not
any pockets of ungodliness that
291
:you have are, have allowed in it's
gateways where they could enter,
292
:take possession, that kind of thing.
293
:Totally.
294
:And then yeah.
295
:Of the home, not your soul.
296
:Right.
297
:And then I think it's a
appropriate to call your pastors
298
:to say, Hey, would you can pray?
299
:Would, you can pray for a house?
300
:Would you can pray with us.
301
:Yeah.
302
:We're not saying that this is a
demonically possessed home, but we'd
303
:love you to come and pray for us.
304
:Yeah.
305
:Your community group, Hey, if you can
get your community group involved,
306
:say, Hey, would you guys pray for us?
307
:Because we've got these things going on.
308
:They're kind of inexplicable.
309
:We don't really know what to do with
it, but it's weirdness out a little bit.
310
:We'd love to have you pray for us.
311
:Yeah.
312
:Maybe invite the community
group to your home.
313
:Yeah.
314
:Have a meal, have a sleepover, pray.
315
:Did you guys hear it?
316
:I told you.
317
:I told you.
318
:Yeah.
319
:Pray do some worship take.
320
:I mean, I take ownership
over that place, man.
321
:That, that would declare that
place for the sake of Christ,
322
:honor the Lord with it.
323
:Utilize it if there is
things like that happening.
324
:And I don't doubt that there're
happening all over the place.
325
:We believe that there is a real spiritual
realm and people are really engaging
326
:with that spiritual realm on a regular
basis sometimes, and perhaps even
327
:oftentimes, as you were saying, unawares.
328
:So you should do.
329
:Your homework and recognize that
these things are really happening,
330
:and this is how, one of the ways
that the devil provoked Jesus'
331
:crucifixion by his demonic power.
332
:Yeah.
333
:Yeah.
334
:Something I thought was really cool
that, that stood out to me this time
335
:In Luke 22, verse 28 through 30 Jesus
says to his disciples, you are those
336
:who have stayed with me in my trials
and I assigned to you as my father is
337
:assigned to me, a kingdom that you may
eat and drink at my table in my kingdom,
338
:and sit on thrones judging the 12 tribes
of Israel I was reminded of Peter's.
339
:Question to Jesus when he
said, Lord, we've left.
340
:Look at all we've left.
341
:And Jesus told Peter, you're gonna
receive so much more than that in
342
:this life and in the life to come.
343
:Right.
344
:And here, I think this is an example
of what that's gonna look like for
345
:the disciples in the life to come.
346
:These 12 minus Judas are going
to be sitting on the 12 Thrones.
347
:They're gonna be co reigning
with Christ who's at 12th.
348
:Because if Judas was.
349
:Removed, do you think
Matthias is gonna be the guy?
350
:We, I was just talking about
this with my kids the other day.
351
:It would seem to be the apostles is
where I would go with that rather
352
:than Matthias as the replacement
there, but the apostles instead.
353
:So perhaps Paul would be the 12.
354
:So yeah, that's my point.
355
:If it's not Paul.
356
:I'm gonna be shocked.
357
:Yeah, I might for a second be tempted.
358
:No, I would be tempted.
359
:'cause I'll be perfect, but I
would be like, hold on a second.
360
:Hold on.
361
:Can we talk about this?
362
:Is there room for us to have a discussion?
363
:Right, Lord, please.
364
:Right.
365
:Can we out, can we add
a 13th chair at minimum?
366
:Come on.
367
:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
368
:So I, I just thought that was really cool.
369
:Hey, how about the angels coming
to minister to Jesus in the garden.
370
:I keyed in on that and I'm like,
man, what is happening there?
371
:Right.
372
:But it's not unusual 'cause it
happened already in the gospel of
373
:Matthew when he was being tempted.
374
:He was ministered to by angels.
375
:But that's a unique detail that Luke
includes that is always a bit curious.
376
:Yeah.
377
:Yeah.
378
:And that's Luke though.
379
:Luke's the physician.
380
:Luke's the detail guy.
381
:Yeah.
382
:He's gonna get to the bottom of
everything that he can in the story.
383
:And yet he doesn't talk about the bodies
walking outta the tombs like Matthew does.
384
:We'll get there.
385
:Come on man.
386
:Matthew is the only one.
387
:Yeah.
388
:Weird.
389
:Yeah.
390
:Anyways, rest of chapter 22 in
Luke, a lot of the same things.
391
:You've got the betrayal and the arrest.
392
:You've got Peter's denials of Jesus, and
then you get into the mocking and the
393
:blaspheming of Christ the abuse of Christ.
394
:And again, we're gonna, we.
395
:Did talk about that.
396
:I guess on Sunday we talked about
the suffering of Jesus and how that
397
:is a template and example that model
for us, like a workbook where a child
398
:traces the letters in the workbook.
399
:That's the example.
400
:That's what it means there, that Christ's
suffering is that example for us.
401
:So, we see some of that here
taking place in Luke chapter 22.
402
:One question here in the middle
section verses 35 through 38.
403
:He talks about see if you don't have a
sword, sell your cloak and buy a sword.
404
:And then he says.
405
:One of the disciples says,
look, Lord, we have two sword.
406
:And he's like, Hey that's enough.
407
:What's the point there?
408
:Should we be buying guns?
409
:Is one gun too many or is two
guns too many and one is enough
410
:and every family should have one.
411
:Yeah.
412
:Is there a parallel that we could
point to in the modern day that.
413
:Is effectively applying this text.
414
:Yeah, I think he's commissioning his
disciples to be shrewd and to be on
415
:the defensive because they're going
out as sheep in the midst of wolves.
416
:And he's not gonna be
there to protect them.
417
:He's not gonna be there anymore to
be guiding them and leading them.
418
:So I think he's saying
you need to be smart.
419
:And part of that.
420
:Wisdom and that shrewdness is yeah,
grab a sword and have a sword.
421
:What he's not doing is he's
not commissioning an army.
422
:And so that's when they're
like, Hey, we've got two swords.
423
:He's not saying, great, go out and amass
as much firepower as you can because
424
:you gotta go out and kill people.
425
:No, he's saying, I want you to defend
yourself if you need to defend yourself.
426
:Right?
427
:But because you've gotta a mission
to take care of here, and I need
428
:you to be per on mission for me.
429
:But he's not commissioning them to
go out and go on the offensive and
430
:just start slaughtering people.
431
:So he's essentially saying, trust,
trust the lord, but make wise provision.
432
:Yeah.
433
:To do one is not, does
not exclude the other.
434
:Totally.
435
:Trust God.
436
:Make wise provision.
437
:Yeah.
438
:So if you've got a gun at
home, that's reasonable.
439
:Yeah.
440
:If you've got the conviction to say
this, I need this for, to be wise
441
:and I'm gonna trust the Lord, but
I'm also gonna be wise, then great.
442
:You know, I've lived in Texas long
enough now that I want to go take a
443
:gun class and get a gun at some point.
444
:I do too, actually.
445
:Yeah, we should do it.
446
:Staff.
447
:I'm for All of us can do it together.
448
:Team building.
449
:Yes.
450
:Mike Clementi actually recently sent
me a half off email at the Frisco
451
:Gun Club for one of their trainings.
452
:I think it was only for this weekend
though, so it may be expired by now.
453
:Well, that would be a great staff event.
454
:And we know somebody in our church and
we'll leave his name out of this, but he
455
:is one that does not only have two sorts.
456
:He has many swords.
457
:Has a lot of swords, and one might
argue it's part of his profession.
458
:It needs to, it could, yeah.
459
:Yeah.
460
:For safety purposes.
461
:Alright, so John, chapter 13,
then as we switch gears over here,
462
:we are in the upper room now.
463
:So, we're backing up.
464
:Jesus has not yet been betrayed.
465
:We're not at the trials.
466
:We're back in the upper room.
467
:Institution of Passover has actually not
yet taken place either, but here we find.
468
:What Jesus is going to do here with
his disciples, and that is as they
469
:get into the room, he's gonna do
one of the greatest acts of humility
470
:that we find prior to the cross.
471
:And this is meant to foreshadow
the cross and point to the cross.
472
:And Jesus is gonna get up and
wash the feet of his disciples.
473
:And you've probably heard it many,
many times before I preached.
474
:Through John, and so you can
go back and find that message
475
:from this passage as well.
476
:But my argument there was, this was not
so much about the fact that we need to
477
:go out and wash each other's feet, but
that we need to consider our cultural
478
:context and we need to serve one another
with that same level of object humility.
479
:We need to be willing to debase
ourselves for the good of someone
480
:else because we wanna love them and we
wanna love them as Christ has loved us.
481
:And that's really the gist of John 13.
482
:He's really going to bring it to its.
483
:Pinnacle in when he says a new commandment
I give to you that you love one another
484
:as I have loved you and running through
the background for them at that time.
485
:Is his washing their feet.
486
:But then when John's writing this
in the late first century ad, he's
487
:writing this through the lens of not
only the foot washing, but also what
488
:the foot washing was foreshadowing.
489
:And that is the cross.
490
:And so that's our template for how
we should love one another with this
491
:self-sacrificial, self basing love that.
492
:Considers someone else even
more significant than ourselves.
493
:Yeah.
494
:This is one of the lowliest
jobs that anybody could take.
495
:Maybe akin to changing someone's
diaper, perhaps something like that.
496
:At least because we don't have
this kind of thing anymore.
497
:It's hard to make a one-to-one comparison.
498
:But the point is, and I think you said it
well, there's just a willingness to sell.
499
:I'll serve you anyway that I can,
that even if it's a lowly job that
500
:not many people would wanna do.
501
:So I think that's great.
502
:Everybody wants to know.
503
:When are you gonna wash the church's feet?
504
:Dude, I got in trouble on the
podcast for this, our first
505
:year that we did this podcast.
506
:Do you remember that?
507
:I don't, what did you say?
508
:I think I got an email from somebody
that doesn't even go to our church.
509
:I don't remember this, that was like
Pastor PG, you need to get off your
510
:high horse and wash people's feet.
511
:Oh wow.
512
:Okay.
513
:I'm sorry.
514
:I'm ping me up.
515
:It blew me up.
516
:They only got one email because I said.
517
:You said you weren't gonna do it?
518
:Never.
519
:Well, I just said I don't think
that's what this is really
520
:about, and I stand by that.
521
:I still don't think
that's what this is about.
522
:Because this was about in the cultural
context, to your point, this is something
523
:we don't have an equivalent of today.
524
:Yeah, we don't.
525
:And so Jesus was doing
this because it was a need.
526
:That they had, that he was meeting and
it, that's what we lose sight of in this.
527
:Yeah.
528
:They were eating a meal together.
529
:It was common for their feet to
be washed before they had a meal.
530
:Yeah.
531
:And that wasn't taking place.
532
:'cause their feet would've
been in each other's faces.
533
:Exactly.
534
:The way that they were
laying, reclining a table.
535
:They were walking through nasty streets.
536
:They didn't have a household
slave there because this was
537
:more of an impromptu gathering.
538
:Yeah.
539
:And so Jesus took that role
and said, I'll do it then.
540
:And so that's why I don't think
this is about anything significantly
541
:mystical about washing people's feet.
542
:I think it's about serving one
another and he doesn't say the same
543
:things that he says about communion.
544
:Do this, and as often as you
remember, and remembrance of me.
545
:So it carries a different weight.
546
:The weight of it is, its symbolism what
it would point to, namely his crucifixion.
547
:So I'm just gonna ask you in
front of everybody here, will you.
548
:Wash your staff speed.
549
:No.
550
:In a basin of water?
551
:No.
552
:What if I brought the water?
553
:No.
554
:What if I brought the basin?
555
:No.
556
:What if I got a really awesome
smelling soap for you to use?
557
:No.
558
:What if I got you latex gloves?
559
:No.
560
:You're not making this very easy.
561
:No.
562
:Maybe if you got me like those grabbers
and I could use those trash grabs,
563
:those claws, those, that'd be funny.
564
:Yeah.
565
:I, this the other thing, last thing
about this chapter that always just.
566
:It makes me an awe.
567
:And this goes to what we're, we've been
talking about, is that this is what
568
:Jesus identifies in not only this, but
here, this is what Jesus identifies
569
:as the defining marker of a Christian.
570
:By this, all people will know that you
are my disciples if you love one another.
571
:If I have loved you as I have
loved you, that's amazing.
572
:And that speaks to the fact
that the reason is because
573
:to love radically like this.
574
:Only happens from a heart that
has been loved radically by God.
575
:And so that's why this is one thing
that people are the world's gonna look
576
:at and be like, oh, they're Christians.
577
:Because I see the way
they care for each other.
578
:Yeah.
579
:And would that we be a church
that the world does look at
580
:and make that conclusion?
581
:That would be great.
582
:Yeah.
583
:Well, let's pray and they'll
be done with this episode.
584
:God, as I just prayed in what I said
would that we would be that church, that
585
:church that loves one another, so well,
so cause us Lord, to, to even Philippians
586
:chapter two as the Apostle Paul called
us to have the mindset that is ours in
587
:Christ Jesus and that we would consider
others more significant than ourselves.
588
:That we would look out not only
for our own interests, but also
589
:for the interests of others, and
that we'd be willing to serve.
590
:And meet the needs that we see in our
brothers and sisters in Christ, and may
591
:that speak loudly to the world around us.
592
:We prayed this in Jesus name, amen.
593
:Amen.
