This week we have Dr. Will Van Derveer on the show! Will Van Derveer, MD is a psychiatrist committed to bringing mental healthcare into the future through training programs in psychedelic therapy for therapists and advanced integrative medicine for psychiatrists. He co-founded the Integrative Psychiatry Institute for this purpose.
In this episode, we discuss the groundbreaking research Dr. Will is doing with MAPS regarding psychedelic assisted therapy and what the future might look like for treating depression and PTSD. We also dive into ancestral and generational trauma, rites of passage, and the importance of integration practices when using and administering psychedelics. This is truly one of my favorite episodes to date, I hope you enjoy!
