Jesus. Matthew 6:13. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 16 of 30 Days of Prayer. Now Jesus teaches us to pray for protection from Satan. We live in a world where we are surrounded by evil—inside and outside. As we connect with God, part of our interest is admitting our vulnerability to the power of evil, and seeking protection from it. When we talk to God about our daily needs, we are admitting our dependence on him, so in seeking deliverance from evil. We are also moved to think more about how we might watch for—and walk through the deliverances that will surely come. Jesus encourages us to talk to God about the moral matters of our lives—the areas we’re wrestling with, seeking his continued intervention and protection.
