Byron Nagy is a German/Hungarian/American who has lived in Kyushu and then Tokyo, but after 3.11 he and his wife Kaori decided a move to the countryside would give them a more meaningful life and having space to grow their own organic food would provide more food security for their growing family. Watch the video of this talk here.
They remodeled a 150 year old farmhouse into a guesthouse called the Yokomura Eco-Lodge to provide a farm-to-table country stay experience for visitors. Once the COVID19 pandemic hit the hospitality industry, they transitioned to commercial farming- selling their fresh eggs and vegetables to shops and a local market of customers who appreciate the high-quality, #organic products they provide #plasticfree and #freerange online.
