It was my privilege and great pleasure to record this episode as a tribute to Masa’s late father, who raised his son to “experience the world.” Honoring his wishes and eagerness to begin his journey Masahiro Miki traveled to the US alone in his junior year at Sophia University. Masa worked as a ranch hand in Kansas and took one year to hitchhike all over North America into South America, Canada, and Hawaii. Masa finished his master’s degree at the University of Arizona and landed a job with Monsanto for three years, and then was hired by Texas Instruments, where he worked for twenty years. Those years of hard work, business travel, building a network became the foundation to Masa’s vigor and positive outlook in life. His core spirit radiates whenever I see him, and it’s a gift that keeps on giving!
