Today, we're diving into a topic that resonates with so many of us: the hidden burdens we carry every day, unbeknownst to others. How many of us are juggling multiple roles, dreams, and challenges, without letting the world in on our struggles? It's time to change that! In this episode, we're on a mission to normalize conversations about both the hurdles and triumphs that come with being a mom and chasing our goals.
We all know that motherhood and pursuing our dreams can be tough, but we don't have to go through it alone. It's incredible what can happen when we choose vulnerability and authenticity over hiding behind a facade of perfection. Take this time with me to reflect on your recent struggles AND wins. Remember, each step forward, no matter how tiny, brings us closer to our dreams.
What you'll hear in this episode:

to record another podcaster for her podcast. And in the middle of our interview, she got a text from her grandma that she needed to write to the emergency room. And it just had me thinking how so many of us are balancing so many things that others have no idea about. We're walking around, carrying responsibilities, carrying pressures carrying opportunities, and no one else. And so overall, my reminder for you today is to have a little love and grace for others understand that you do not know anyone's full story. You don't know what they're carrying. But I also want to invite both of us to talk about it more for you to ask others Hey, is there something challenging going on right now is there any way I can support you or anything that you just want to share, and you want me to listen to it. And same for you. When you have challenging things going on and you're looking for support or you just wish there was someone that you could tell, you should try. And you should try to talk to someone, try to find someone that you can say, this was really hard today. There are a lot of really great groups that you can post those things in. Of course, we always welcome that in the mama high schools community by there are other groups that you can be a part of as well. And we need to normalize more conversations about the struggles as much as we do the celebrations, and that they can coexist. So when you think about your week, and you say, today was a good week because of this, or it was really hard because of this, there can be both in the same week, I highly recommend that you find a place for both and each week, because while I hope that there's only celebrations in your week, there's almost always something that you could receive support around or could be helpful by sharing. And there's almost always something to celebrate as well. So as you navigate the rest of your week, as you see others on the streets, in their car, on a phone call for work for your personal life, maybe it's at school pick at Remember, every time you may get a little frustrated with someone or question why they're doing something that they're doing, there's more than likely something that they're carrying that they're finding difficult. So smile more, spread more love. And let's also try to receive more of it as well. Another thing that I've noticed recently with myself and others is even when we're receiving love, we're not receiving it. So we know what it feels like to have someone acknowledged when you're not feeling your best or when you need to feel better. But are you really receiving it so that you can say that person does love me, that person does care how I'm feeling today that allows us to feel held and loved but that requires us to be present enough to be receiving. So put your phone down, pick your head up, listen to the words that are being given to you. And allow yourself to receive the kindness that does exist even when it feels like it doesn't sending you so much love. Want to keep today really short and sweet, so that you can go spread more love and receive the love. If you're not sure what that looks like start today with just A journal prompts us the rest of what this episode would typically be in length. Grab a piece of paper, use the journaling feature in the mama has schools phone app if you'd like. And I want you to journal on this. What is the way that I'm receiving love? That I'm not aware of? What is a way that you are receiving love that you're not awake to? How have you recently received love and you maybe didn't acknowledge it in the time. And then throughout today, try to find one way to spread a little more joy in this world. I love you so much. Keep going after the schools.
