This week's conversation is an exploration of exalted spaces. THE THREE-HEADED MAN chases and attempts to capture the wordless experiences of extraordinary experiences with words. Phreddie concludes his introduction of the topic by asking, "Why say anything in an exalted space?"
Jimmy thinks in partials. We are not in one or the other spot, exclusively.And he adds, "Churchy" -- Things get churchy in an exalted space.
Jazzy continues to chase by contributing the idea that there must be someone or something within us who recognizes it is an exalted space.
Jimmy introduces the notion of juxtaposition - the conflicting division. The conflict allows one to notice change. Comparables and correlations. Phreddie tries to ask, "can one create an exalted space. Is it the space that rises or does something within carry us along? Or is there something internal, within us, that rises?"
Jazzy ponders the "perceiver." What is the role of the observer?
Jimmy tosses out a story about Mary following him as he skies. He almost sings "Spanish Moon." Exalting harmonies.
Jimmy's story prompts Phreddie to recall his flying dreams, and he tells about the effects of looking down as he flies in his dreams. Phreddie questions those who go about "collecting" exalted spaces -- those who seek and chase after exalted spaces. He concludes his wonderings by saying, "the work is in the lower spaces."
Jimmy and Phreddie recollect a few experiences at Falling Leaf Lane. Jimmy summarizes his experiences at this particular exalted space by recalling the tedium and frustrations he experiences. Then he returns to his home in Canada as he "comes down" from the exaltation, "Turning our homes into 'Whatever-ville'."
