Matthew 4:1:

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil.

After being baptized and affirmed by God as His beloved Son, Jesus is led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where He fasts for forty days and nights. During this time, the devil approaches Him, seeking to exploit His vulnerability and divert Him from His divine purpose. This passage serves as a powerful reminder that even the strongest and most anointed among us will face trials and temptations. It is in these moments of testing that our true character and faith are revealed.

Today, you will learn the importance of spiritual preparation and steadfastness in the face of temptation. Jesus sets an example for us by immersing Himself in prayer and fasting before embarking on His ministry. Similarly, you should be intentional about nurturing your relationship with God, seeking His guidance, and fortifying yourself spiritually. When faced with trials and temptations, you can draw strength from your deep connection with God, relying on His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome the enemy's schemes. Remember that even in your moments of weakness, God's grace is sufficient, and through Him, you can emerge victorious.
