Speaker A:

Nothing has changed.

Speaker A:

You're just lonely and afraid of being alone.

Speaker A:

Welcome to Last to the Party, a Bravo rewatch podcast.

Speaker A:

I'm Megan and I am fashionably late to all things Bravo.

Speaker B:

I'm Wendy.

Speaker B:

I'm an OG superfan who's seen it all probably twice.

Speaker A:

In today's episode, we are diving into Summer House.

Speaker A:

See season one, episode seven, Hoedown Showdown.

Speaker A:

But before we get to that, please hop on over to Instagram.

Speaker A:

Give us a quick follow.

Speaker A:

We are last to the Party Pod.

Speaker B:

Hey, you got thoughts on Summer House or thoughts on our review or even thoughts on what you might want us to do next?

Speaker B:

Because we are getting close to the end of season one.

Speaker B:

I'm looking at Megan.

Speaker B:

Are we moving on to season two after this?

Speaker B:

What's our plan?

Speaker B:

What's next?

Speaker B:

If you guys have ideas, if you want us to review a different season.

Speaker A:

Of a different series.

Speaker B:

Yeah, those are the words I'm looking for.

Speaker B:

Email us Last to the party Pod gmail dot com.

Speaker B:

We do have a phone number too.

Speaker A:

We do.

Speaker B:

We use it for our other podcast, Girls Gone Hallmark.

Speaker A:

But you can leave us a last of the Party message.

Speaker B:

Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker B:

But when you call, you're gonna hear, hey, you've reached Girls Gone Hallmark.

Speaker B:

That's us.

Speaker B:

Leave us a message there.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

And you can leave us a message and we just might play it on a future episode of Last to the Party.

Speaker A:

Before we get into episode seven, let's talk about Previously.

Speaker A:

On episode six, everyone is second guessing their relationship status.

Speaker A:

Christina and Everett might have broken up.

Speaker A:

It was kind of unclear.

Speaker A:

And Carl met the workus clan.

Speaker B:

Episode seven is called Hoedown Showdown.

Speaker B:

,:

Speaker B:

It's Lindsay's 30th birthday hoedown and trouble's a Brewin when Carl brings two uninvited girls to the party, much to Lauren's dismay.

Speaker B:

Meanwhile, Everett and Lindsay are on the outs and Stephen spills a secret that may make the on and off again couple turn the switch off permanently.

Speaker B:

Hey, Megan, what is your first impression of Hoedown Showdown?

Speaker A:

This episode is all over the place.

Speaker A:

It feels to me like, you know, on a reality show like Survivor or Big Brother where people reach the point where they start crying for no reason because they're overwhelmed and they're tired and they.

Speaker A:

I feel like everyone's a little over tired from their summer escapades.

Speaker A:

Everyone's a little highly emotional.

Speaker A:

Everyone's behaving a little erratically.

Speaker A:

It just feels like everyone's a big mess.

Speaker A:

Really.

Speaker B:

I can't wait to dig into it because I don't remember particularly.

Speaker B:

Oh, except for the breakdown on the paddle boards.

Speaker A:

Well, yeah, definitely the breakdown on the paddle boards.

Speaker A:

Well, now I'm curious.

Speaker A:

What's your second impression of this episode?

Speaker B:

The only thing more inconsistent than Carl's emotions is Lindsay's birthday hair.

Speaker A:

Oh, but see what I mean?

Speaker A:

The inconsistency, it's back and forth.

Speaker A:

Nobody knows what they're doing.

Speaker B:

Even.

Speaker B:

Even productions.

Speaker B:

Like, the editing's like, oh, fuck it.

Speaker B:

We're just gonna put all these scenes.

Speaker A:

Who are you watching this week?

Speaker B:

This week I'm watching Lauren Workus.

Speaker B:

She's out here declaring herself the queen of away games, rolling in the next morning after, like, mystery hookups.

Speaker B:

Meanwhile, she's then fighting off tears because Carl's ghosting her.

Speaker B:

Watching her spin out made this episode kind of enjoyable for me.

Speaker B:

It's compelling tv.

Speaker A:

It is.

Speaker B:

I just feel like we've kind of maybe, maybe turned the corner just, like, a little bit in terms of, like, will they, won't they?

Speaker B:

Will they, Won't they?

Speaker B:

Will they, won't they?

Speaker B:

I think Carl's kind of saying, like, we're not going to.

Speaker B:

And now she's upset about it.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I totally agree with you.

Speaker A:

But the second she starts to do something about it, well, that's who I'm watching this week.

Speaker A:

It's Carl.

Speaker B:

It's.

Speaker A:

He.

Speaker A:

You know, he says things like, lauren's the hottest one in the house, so that's why I hooked up with her.

Speaker A:

But she's more into me than I am into her.

Speaker A:

But also, I'm very curious about who's driving her home in the morning after her away game.

Speaker A:

Games.

Speaker A:

And then I have these feelings for Lauren, but I have no interest in being in a committed relationship, and I have no interest in saying no to any other opportunity that comes my way.

Speaker A:

And so I'm gonna deflect all of my feelings for her into bringing two other chicks to the house, which in turn pisses everyone else off.

Speaker A:

He's just kind of a chaos master in this episode, and he doesn't own any of it because people get upset with him.

Speaker A:

They bring up several times, like, it's a house rule that we need to discuss if we're gonna have guests.

Speaker A:

And it keeps coming up.

Speaker A:

And Kyle's like, is it shitty?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Do I care?

Speaker A:

No, he's just lighting little chaos fires everywhere he goes.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

You know, as you were talking, I was thinking about this scene Last week, when Lauren is talking to her mom after she meets Carl, and she's like, look, he's gonna come around.

Speaker B:

You need to jump in and have fun.

Speaker B:

Carl will follow.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So I wonder if Lauren takes that information and now she's doing her away games.

Speaker B:

Like, she's meeting people, she's going out, she's hooking up.

Speaker B:

And as guys do, like, her mom was right.

Speaker B:

Carl's like, wait a minute.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Her mom says, make him chase you.

Speaker B:

Yes, exactly.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And not like he's even chasing her, but like, he's seen what she's doing, and it doesn't make him happy.

Speaker B:

Like, he doesn't like that.

Speaker B:

Like, he.

Speaker B:

It piques his interest in her.

Speaker B:

Again, we didn't really talk about that.

Speaker A:

Scene last week, but I was moved a little bit by that moment where Lauren broke down, and she's like, I feel like I'm a disappointment to you because I'm not in a committed relationship, and I just want her mom to give her a big hug and be like her.

Speaker A:

Her mom seems very young, so maybe she was married early, and Ashley's been with her guy forever.

Speaker A:

Her siblings are all much younger.

Speaker A:

They're not in a marriageable place.

Speaker A:

But she just feels like she's let her family down by not being in a committed relationship.

Speaker A:

I'm like, just give her a hug and be like, we all have our own timeline.

Speaker B:

Totally.

Speaker A:

Like, you're.

Speaker A:

You're fine.

Speaker A:

Also, I. I do want to say that I. I do have my eye on Stephen a little bit this week.

Speaker A:

We see a phone call with his parents, and I think Stephen is the person we get to know the most this season outside of the house, beyond a surface level.

Speaker A:

We learn a little bit about Lind, a little bit about Carl.

Speaker A:

We see Kyle's family, but really, Steven, most of his story exists outside of this house.

Speaker A:

Most of his story exists in backstory, especially in spite of coming out.

Speaker A:

He's in a really weird limbo space where he doesn't feel like he can talk to his parents about his relationships.

Speaker A:

I just think Steven has.

Speaker A:

They've created the deepest backstory for him on the show.

Speaker B:

I agree that they've created the.

Speaker B:

Or he has the deepest backstory on the show.

Speaker A:

It's not a compelling enough reason to keep him around because I want him contributing to the house, and I don't necessarily know that he is.

Speaker B:

Yeah, see, that's what I was going to say, but I don't want.

Speaker B:

I don't want the impression to be that I don't like him or his story or.

Speaker B:

I don't feel like he's contributing to the party house that I want to watch, but that's kind of how I feel.

Speaker A:

Well, so I think the thing is, I think as a roommate, as a housemate, I think he's great.

Speaker A:

Like, he seems to me, he seems to be a good time.

Speaker A:

He seems to mostly get along with people.

Speaker A:

You know, he.

Speaker A:

As a viewer, he's not bringing the content.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker A:

I don't dislike Steven, and I, you know, I'm fine.

Speaker A:

You know, I'm sure he's a great friend.

Speaker A:

He seems like a good friend.

Speaker A:

But the Lauren, Carl, Kyle, Christina, Lindsay, Everett of it all is more watchable.

Speaker B:

Yeah, agree.

Speaker A:

I got a favorite quote.

Speaker A:

Do you have a favorite quote or scene?

Speaker B:

I have a favorite quote.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Is it Kyle asking nipples in or nipples out?

Speaker B:

No, it's not.

Speaker B:

Is this with his overalls?

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's it.

Speaker A:

Kyle's a good time.

Speaker A:

He's funny.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

My favorite quote was Lindsay at the top of the episode, she's like.

Speaker B:

She's talking about is her birthday.

Speaker B:

She's like, I'm single and 30.

Speaker B:

That's fun.

Speaker B:

You know, she's not happy about it.

Speaker B:

And honestly, I think being 30 and single should be fun.

Speaker B:

I'm sure it is for a lot of people, but who am I to judge?

Speaker B:

I was, like, married at 25 and probably same planning a Pottery Barn, you know, wedding registry at the time.

Speaker B:

So I don't know what fun is.

Speaker A:

Same, same, same, same.

Speaker A:

Totally.

Speaker A:

I was married at 25, you know, Lindsay has such a yearning for stability and family and being loved that being single feels really threatening to her.

Speaker A:

And so she can't lean into the fun of being 30 and single because she feels so worried about what for her future.

Speaker B:

30, flirty and single.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

It's funny because when she's like, I'm turning 30, and I was like, okay, it's been nine seasons and she just had a baby.

Speaker B:

Is she on the brink of turning 40 this summer?

Speaker A:

She must be.

Speaker B:

Is it possible?

Speaker B:

Are we gonna get a Lindsay Hubbard 40th birthday this summer on Summer House?

Speaker A:

I'm so curious to see how Lindsay Hubbard Summerhouse Season 10 works.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Like, is it going to be like, those are Gemma's weekends with her dad?

Speaker A:

Maybe because she's not bringing Gemma to the summer house.

Speaker B:

No, I imagine she's probably there, like, every other weekend or when she can come out.

Speaker B:

Like, the girl knows.

Speaker B:

And we did get a break in that fourth wall in the season nine.

Speaker B:

And I know we're jumping ahead and spoiling things if you haven't seen the show.

Speaker B:

But basically there was like, the big question mark that they talked about in the.

Speaker B:

At the end of the season of like, is this your last summer house?

Speaker B:

And I saw when she announced on her Instagram just a few weeks ago, she's like, I'm coming back.

Speaker B:

She's like, how else am I gonna make money?

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

She's an influencer now as well.

Speaker B:

But if you're.

Speaker B:

If Bravo is still willing to pay you.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Don't you make it work?

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

I mean, she might not.

Speaker B:

She's not gonna be messy.

Speaker B:

Lindsay from season one.

Speaker A:

Sure.

Speaker B:

In fact, I actually really like Lindsay Hubbard in season nine.

Speaker B:

Pregnant.

Speaker A:

Me too.

Speaker A:

She's a good friend.

Speaker B:

Voice of reason.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

I love Lindsay Hubbard.

Speaker B:

I'm excited to watch her turn 40 this summer if she is.

Speaker B:

My apologies if the math ain't mathing.

Speaker A:

What did you like about this episode?

Speaker B:

Well, back to Kyle's comment about his nipples in his overalls.

Speaker B:

Look, I love that Kyle leans in.

Speaker B:

He lean.

Speaker B:

Lean.

Speaker B:

It's Lindsay's birthday.

Speaker B:

This is maybe like one of the first themed party.

Speaker A:

Yeah, right.

Speaker B:

That we see.

Speaker B:

He's all in with his costuming and all that stuff.

Speaker B:

And it's just.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

They're open up their Amazon packages.

Speaker B:

Which was really funny because didn't you notice?

Speaker B:

You saw like a home goods or a TJ Maxx.

Speaker A:

I thought I saw a TJ Maxx tag on Lindsay's boots.

Speaker B:

I mean, when you're balling on a budget during this time, you know, season 10, I'm sure they're.

Speaker B:

They got the good stuff.

Speaker A:

Like, Paige's wardrobe in season nine is off the charts.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

Which is so funny because her first season, she's like, my mom taught me never to spend a ton of money on clothes.

Speaker B:

And she was like, queen Amazon.

Speaker B:

Like, you know, I. I wonder if she even does those.

Speaker B:

Like, Amazon lives anymore where she's like, chilling stuff now.

Speaker B:

Side note, have you checked out the Daphne?

Speaker A:

I haven't.

Speaker A:

They're kind of expensive.

Speaker B:

Mixed reviews.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

There's size limitations, which is kind of a bummer.

Speaker B:

And they're expensive.

Speaker A:

I'm not a 200 pair of pajama lady.

Speaker B:

That is not true.

Speaker B:

You have a very expensive pair of pajamas.

Speaker A:

I have one.

Speaker A:

I don't even have those anymore.

Speaker A:

My dog ripped them last year.

Speaker B:

I had one pair of Saddest news ever.

Speaker A:

I had one pair of print fresh pajamas.

Speaker A:

I did love them.

Speaker A:

They were given to me as a gift within my own Budget.

Speaker A:

I am a Walmart pajama kind of lady.

Speaker B:

Those Walmart pajamas, by the way, if you guys are looking for some nice pajamas, come on over to midlife Bestie.

Speaker A:

Yeah, don't sleep on that Joyce Bunn brand.

Speaker A:

No, that's what I was wearing last night.

Speaker B:

I brought a pair with me.

Speaker A:

A couple things I liked from this episode.

Speaker A:

I did like the paddle boarding scene.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker A:

First of all, it looked fun.

Speaker A:

Like it was visually interesting.

Speaker A:

They're out of that damn house.

Speaker A:

I. I do at some point in these seasons, kind of get tired of the interior of these homes.

Speaker A:

And what I was thinking about is when you watch television, television homes are very richly decorated.

Speaker A:

There's no plain walls, there's no plain surfaces.

Speaker A:

Like, there's a lot going on.

Speaker A:

These homes are not like that.

Speaker A:

This is where real people live a while.

Speaker A:

It's kind of like I'm tired of seeing the inside of this house.

Speaker A:

So I liked the change of scenery with the paddle boarding.

Speaker A:

It made me wonder when we start to make the transition to more house parties and less out of the house activities.

Speaker A:

But anyway, while we're paddle boarding, Lauren and Ashley have a moment that we referenced earlier.

Speaker A:

And Lauren kind of breaks down.

Speaker A:

She's like, sad that the Carl thing did not work out.

Speaker A:

She's sad that she wanted more than what it turned out.

Speaker A:

And she's sad that she can't seem to find someone.

Speaker A:

And then Ashley, like, sympathy cries.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker A:

They got that sister bond.

Speaker A:

She's like, I just want you to have what I have.

Speaker A:

But my favorite moment is Steven watching this from afar.

Speaker A:

He's like, I was gonna paddle over to the girls, but I can tell that Ashley's crying.

Speaker A:

And I can tell because she's making her cry face.

Speaker A:

And then he does his impression of her cry face, which is just so good.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

That is a great scene.

Speaker B:

And my heart hurts for Lauren in this scene because she's like, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Speaker B:

And I just want to shake her by the shoulders and be like, it's not you.

Speaker B:

No, Carl is the problem here.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker A:

I think she's also feeling the pressure of her sister bestie moving across the country for sure.

Speaker A:

And now she's one.

Speaker A:

Like, what's she gonna do without her wing woman and her best friend and her built in everything?

Speaker A:

And I feel that for her.

Speaker A:

I kind of like.

Speaker A:

So Steven gets himself into hot water.

Speaker A:

It doesn't seem like he does it intentionally, but it's definitely been the case this summer.

Speaker A:

He gets in the middle of A house hookup.

Speaker A:

You know, we saw it happen with Carl and Lauren.

Speaker A:

We see it happen again when he spills the beans to Lindsay about Everett's whereabouts on his night out.

Speaker A:

And I gotta say, in this case, I like it.

Speaker A:

Because anything that moves along the Lindsay and Everett ultimate breakup is a good thing, in my opinion.

Speaker B:

I agree.

Speaker B:

But how is Stephen here any different than Christino in terms of like, oops, shouldn't I have said that?

Speaker B:

Okay, well, it makes me sad that Christina and Steven are really.

Speaker B:

It feels like their job is to stir the pot.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I hear you.

Speaker A:

Okay, so tell me how you feel about this.

Speaker A:

Is there, is it more important that Steven says something?

Speaker A:

Because Lindsay and Everett are in an established relationship, and so if he knows something about that relationship, a big lie that Everett has told in the wake of their getting back together, is it more important that Lindsay has that information, whereas there's nothing to be gained?

Speaker A:

Kyle didn't technically do anything wrong by hooking up with Katie while he was hooking up with Amanda because they weren't in a relationship.

Speaker A:

So Amanda doesn't necessarily deserve that information as much.

Speaker A:

When Kyle made it clear that he wanted to be single and on the prowl.

Speaker B:

Sure.

Speaker B:

But is Stephen in the same pickle that he was in before when he knew about Carl's date to the wedding?

Speaker B:

He knew this information and then like, he was like, well, do I, am I, do I stay loyal to Carl or do I tell Lauren?

Speaker A:

Well, but see, I. Yeah, I think it's the exact same situation, except this is another situation where Lauren didn't deserve that information.

Speaker A:

She and Carl weren't in a committed relationship.

Speaker A:

On the other hand, Lindsay and Everett are in a committed relationship.

Speaker A:

It is expected that Everett is not sleeping with other women or at least sleeping in a bed with other women.

Speaker A:

And so, I mean, I think it's.

Speaker A:

I think it's messy.

Speaker A:

I don't think it's clear.

Speaker A:

But I can kind of understand why he chooses to involve himself here.

Speaker A:

Was he chose to stay out of the Lauren and Carl situation.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I can see that too.

Speaker B:

Part of me though, Steven knows what's going to happen if he tells this information to Lindsay.

Speaker A:

Yeah, there's going to be a blow up.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

But is it going to then lead to a breakup or will they just like circle back to their makeup breakup.

Speaker B:

Makeup breakup cycle.

Speaker A:

And the result is that everyone's mad at Steven.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's a good question.

Speaker A:

Does he think it through and does he decide that at least Lindsay is dealing with all of the information?

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

And, you know, some people just like.

Speaker A:

To.

Speaker B:

Stir things up for the fun of it.

Speaker B:

Not even that.

Speaker B:

I mean, this is true information that he knows, right?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

But, yeah, people like to be in the know and be like, I actually know something that you don't, and that gives me a little bit of power in the situation.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

We don't know Steven.

Speaker A:

Steven's motivations.

Speaker B:

No.

Speaker B:

And that's what's so interesting, because when we.

Speaker B:

We learn about Steven's, like, backstory about who he is and where he comes from and etc.

Speaker B:

Etc.

Speaker B:

And he seems like a good person, so I. I have to lean into, like, he's telling Lindsay from a good place.

Speaker B:

He's not just.

Speaker A:

I think so, too.

Speaker B:

Stir.

Speaker A:

Relevance.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I think I do think so.

Speaker A:

I'm giving Stephen the benefit of the doubt here.

Speaker A:

Let's take a quick break and come right back to talk wishes.

Speaker B:

Speaker B:

Were even more fun over there.

Speaker A:

Well, I got some wishes.

Speaker B:

So do I.

Speaker A:

Let's hear them.

Speaker B:

I have a feeling this is one of yours.

Speaker B:

The girls calling Carl's guest hoes and hookers.

Speaker B:

This girl on girl crime here.

Speaker B:

Woman crime.

Speaker B:

If you know.

Speaker B:

If you know, this kind of judgy energy is peak.

Speaker B:

Bravo.

Speaker B:

Stassi Schroeder is guilty of it all the time.

Speaker B:

On early seasons of Vanderpump Rule where, like, you just are attacking another woman.

Speaker A:

For existing in relationship to a dude that you have or had a relationship with.

Speaker B:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

And so I don't think mean girl vibes.

Speaker B:

I don't like that move at all.

Speaker B:

In fact, even when I heard it, like, calling somebody a hooker, I'm like, it's gross.

Speaker B:

Stop it right now.

Speaker B:

You know better.

Speaker B:

You women are in your 30s.

Speaker B:

Stop it.

Speaker A:

Even grosser.

Speaker A:

So, look, things aren't going well for Christina, and I feel like she's trying to ingratiate herself with these women.

Speaker A:

I feel like when she told Amanda about Kyle's hookup, she was trying to, like, be like, I'm the cool girl.

Speaker A:

I'm your Friend like me, even though we don't see it happen.

Speaker A:

And then in this episode, when Carl arrives with those women, she says, who are these hookers?

Speaker A:

And Lauren laughs.

Speaker A:

Lauren doesn't say, like, not cool.

Speaker A:

But then when Christina is called on it, Lauren kind of gets in her face and she's like, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Speaker A:

Don't say that you did that in defense of me, because I would never call those girls hookers.

Speaker A:

Props to Bravo for the quick cut to Lauren laughing at Christina's comments.

Speaker B:

Yeah, because.

Speaker A:

Lauren kind of took Christina down in this moment.

Speaker B:

I agree.

Speaker B:

That's actually my messy moment.

Speaker A:

I'm sorry.

Speaker B:

It's okay.

Speaker B:

But we can talk about it then.

Speaker B:

My next wish is Everett and Lindsay's deep talk.

Speaker B:

They have this heart to heart about her as estranged sister reaching out to her.

Speaker B:

I feel like this is important context, but it also feels like filler.

Speaker B:

In this episode, it is clear to me that we are seeing.

Speaker B:

Everett and Lindsay are two wildly different people and handle emotions differently.

Speaker B:

And I felt like they were just doing this to give Everett and Lindsay kind of like this soft reset to justify them being together again.

Speaker A:

Well, they're both.

Speaker A:

My wish is that they would have stayed broken up, even though it's clear that they're both on their best behavior in that moment.

Speaker A:

Everett doesn't really seem quite sure how to interact with Lindsay because at one point he's like, I don't know, just text her, like, thanks for the message.

Speaker A:

And then he softens it a little bit.

Speaker A:

I just want to say that when Everett shows up to Lindsay's party, he's like, I felt sick thinking about being without you.

Speaker A:

If you break up with someone, even if there are good reasons for that relationship to end, it's normal to miss them.

Speaker A:

It's normal to feel sad.

Speaker A:

It's normal to mourn the end of that relationship.

Speaker A:

You need to give it a minute before rebounding right back to that person to figure out, am I just sad because there's a change in my life, or am I sad because I'm meant to be with this person because their rebound was too quick?

Speaker B:

I agree.

Speaker A:

Nothing has changed.

Speaker A:

You're just lonely and afraid of being alone.

Speaker A:

How about a.

Speaker A:

Did you see that moment?

Speaker B:

I referenced it in my first impression, but the editing chaos of Lindsay's birthday.

Speaker B:

She gets to the bar, her hair is down, then her hair is up, then her hair's back down, then it's up, and then it's back down.

Speaker B:

Like they were just.

Speaker B:

It just was such a mess.

Speaker B:

But, like, I'm Certain people are not watching it as closely like you.

Speaker B:

And I have this, like, trained eye to look for these kind of, like, editing inconsistencies.

Speaker A:

Well, it's like when I watched the Eras Tour movie, and you can tell that it's shot from multiple different shows, because different.

Speaker A:

Like, close up, her hair is looking very different than it is in other scenes.

Speaker A:

And that's all I could see.

Speaker A:

And I was like, oh, she has chips in her nail in these shots, but not in these.

Speaker A:

I mean, it was like all my brain could see.

Speaker B:

Totally.

Speaker A:

So I do.

Speaker A:

Once I notice those inconsistencies, I can't let it go.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Also a random.

Speaker B:

Did you see that we laughed while we were watching this episode.

Speaker B:

We were like, remember Privilege disprove exists anymore.

Speaker A:

Well, I assume not.

Speaker A:

That's my.

Speaker A:

Did you see that, too?

Speaker A:

The on Demand makeup and hairstyling.

Speaker A:

It was a real moment.

Speaker A:

But I wrote the girls honestly look better when they do their own makeup.

Speaker A:

So maybe it's clear why this company went out of business.

Speaker A:

They're still in business.

Speaker B:

They are still in business.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Well, I will eat my words.

Speaker B:

They are still in business.

Speaker B:

We don't see them as often on TV anymore as I used to, especially in the.

Speaker B:

These.

Speaker B:

Bravo.

Speaker B:

These early.

Speaker A:

Well, because I think these.

Speaker A:

You.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

I think now when we see hair and makeup teams, we're seeing professional hair and makeup teams.

Speaker A:

Like, people have their own hair and makeup team.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

We don't need to call these people.

Speaker A:

Weren't this crew was not at the point to have their own hair and makeup people, so they needed the on demand option.

Speaker B:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker B:

Because, you know, like, half those housewives now when they travel to, like, foreign countries on their vacation episodes, they have.

Speaker A:

They take their glam team with them.

Speaker B:

So wild.

Speaker B:

No paying for their, like, flights and rooms and I know.

Speaker B:

Services.

Speaker B:

That's money I wish I had.

Speaker A:

Can't comprehend.

Speaker B:

No.

Speaker A:

How about a low key, iconic moment of the week?

Speaker B:

You talked about it already.

Speaker B:

But when the guests confront Christina about the hooker comment.

Speaker A:

So uncomfortable.

Speaker B:

The tension is so thick.

Speaker A:

And when the one girl's like, are you gonna cry?

Speaker A:

It looks like you're gonna cry.

Speaker A:

I'm like, stop.

Speaker B:

Stop saying this.

Speaker B:

She's gonna cry.

Speaker B:

I mean, I.

Speaker B:

If I was Christina, I would have, like, turned around, got into my car, and drove into a new life.

Speaker B:

There is just no way I would.

Speaker A:

Not have stayed in that kitchen.

Speaker A:

She's like, fine.

Speaker A:

Excuse me.

Speaker A:

Goodbye.

Speaker A:

I need to leave this room.

Speaker B:

No way.

Speaker A:

For me, it's Carl and Everett at the driving range.

Speaker A:

Everett asks Carl at the time, he almost proposed and kind of trying to feel like, how'd you know?

Speaker A:

Which I'm like, please don't go there.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Obviously, Everett thinks, like, potentially losing Lindsay now means that he should propose to her is.

Speaker A:

I can't even.

Speaker B:

Bad theory.

Speaker A:

However, my favorite moment was Carl says, lindsay looks so hot at her birthday party and you should lock that shit down.

Speaker A:

Which is, like, very prescient considering what's gonna happen in the future.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

You know, I wonder if Carl kind of always was attracted to Lindsay, like, was interested in Lindsay.

Speaker B:

They do talk about being, like, such good friends to me in this season.

Speaker B:

You don't even really see them interact that much.

Speaker A:

She's too busy with Everett.

Speaker A:

Lindsay really only interacts with Everett.

Speaker A:

And then secondarily Christina, as far as I can tell.

Speaker B:

Yeah, you're right.

Speaker B:

And then maybe on the off chance, one of the twins, but that's it.

Speaker A:

Really.

Speaker B:

Well, Carl didn't lock that down.

Speaker B:

He tried.

Speaker A:

He tried.

Speaker B:

Wow.

Speaker A:

All right, what's your messiest moment of the week?

Speaker A:

My messiest moment of the week is Jacqueline asking the hairstylist to smell her hair to determine if she should wash it.

Speaker A:

And my favorite part of that is the hairstylist is like, you need to wash it.

Speaker A:

She doesn't even say, like, no, you're good, girl.

Speaker A:

Because Jacqueline's like, I might hook up with someone later.

Speaker A:

Give my hair a sniff.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

How dirty does.

Speaker A:

I mean, I only wash my hair every few days too, but I would never ask someone else to smell my dirty hair if I was concerned.

Speaker B:

That almost feels like, smell my armpits.

Speaker B:

Like, I would never.

Speaker A:

But at least you can smell your own armpits.

Speaker B:

Smell my hair.

Speaker B:

I would never.

Speaker B:

Gross.

Speaker A:
