Ready for Anything: Fitness, Nutrition, and Essential Prepping

In this episode of 'The Constitution Commandos', hosts Chris and Patrick Williams delve into the importance of physical fitness, proper nutrition, and being prepared for emergencies through prepping. They discuss how physical and mental health are interconnected, emphasizing the benefits of exercise and a good diet on memory and mental focus.

The conversation shifts to practical advice on prepping, including the necessity of a go-bag, its ideal weight, and the significance of being able to carry it comfortably for extended periods. They also cover the importance of preparing for the unexpected, such as an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) attack, and stress the value of community, knowing one's neighbors, and the essentials of survival gear.

Tips on foot care, the importance of breaking in new shoes, and considering the physical capabilities of all family members in survival situations are shared. The episode concludes with a discussion on self-defense, the value of primitive weapons, and strategies for survival in chaotic scenarios.

Commando Crow:

I Pledge allegience to the flag of the United States of America.

Commando Crow:

And to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible,

Commando Crow:

with liberty and justice for all.

Commando Crow:

Good morning and welcome to the fourth episode this season.

Commando Crow:

Today's episode is called Ready for Anything, Fitness,

Commando Crow:

Nutrition, and Prepping.

Commando Crow:

Don't forget to share your thoughts and ideas with us.

Commando Crow:

Just email us at podteam at the constitutioncommandos.

Commando Crow:

org.

Commando Crow:

We're going to get this thing started without any further ado.

Commando Crow:

I'm your host, Chris Williams, and my brother Patrick is your co host.

Commando Crow:

And you're listening to the Constitution Commandos.

Commando Crow:

Getting into shape may just sound like a bunch, a couple of guys talking

Commando Crow:

about you need to buff up and get.

Commando Crow:

Arnold Schwarzenegger and everything that's not the case because one of

Commando Crow:

the things that I discovered when I went into boot camp and I was

Commando Crow:

already pretty physically active because I own my own roofing company.

Commando Crow:

But one of the things that I discovered in boot camp was that exercise that

Commando Crow:

eating right exercise and daily.

Commando Crow:

My memory, it was already good, but man, did my memory get exponentially better,

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: oh, absolutely.

Commando Crow:

The mental focus comes along with physical fitness.

Commando Crow:

It absolutely does and a good diet.

Commando Crow:

I, I'm, I don't, I'm not a nutritionist and I'm not a,

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: We don't even play one on TV.

Commando Crow:

That's right.

Commando Crow:

But it,

Commando Crow:

A lot of these days that we talk about individually.

Commando Crow:

They all work hand in hand and,

Commando Crow:

Knowing what's going on around you, knowing what you have, what can be

Commando Crow:

used against you or what you can use and being physically fit, all

Commando Crow:

of this stuff, it goes hand in hand.

Commando Crow:

You really can't have one without the other.

Commando Crow:

I don't know how you can.

Commando Crow:

Somebody might could tell me how you can, but I don't know how you can.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Now they all work together.

Commando Crow:

I believe they do and I think they're all as important as the

Commando Crow:

next individual thing we might talk about.

Commando Crow:

And don't just do 1 thing and not the other, because.

Commando Crow:

They do work together, and if your own personal safety

Commando Crow:

means anything to you at all.

Commando Crow:

Then you'll put it to practice, right?

Commando Crow:

It's about as simple as it gets.

Commando Crow:

And

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: and I'm not going to sit here and tell you to.

Commando Crow:

A go bag is important, regardless your situation.

Commando Crow:

Go bag is important.

Commando Crow:

Now, what he's talking about on physical fitness, and how

Commando Crow:

these things work together.

Commando Crow:

If you have a go bag, and I'm not saying your go bag should

Commando Crow:

weigh standard military kit.

Commando Crow:

General packing list weighs about 35 pounds.

Commando Crow:

And you're go back for 72 hours and don't just leave it sitting by the

Commando Crow:

door, put it on your back, go walking.

Commando Crow:

I don't care if you got hike and bike trails, I don't care if you

Commando Crow:

have a park, I don't care if you don't, you got a neighborhood, you

Commando Crow:

got somewhere that you can walk.

Commando Crow:

I personally, yeah and push yourself a little further.

Commando Crow:

If you make the block one day, then make the block and then a smaller block

Commando Crow:

the next day, or make the same block.

Commando Crow:

And if you can't make it a full second time, then backtrack the

Commando Crow:

way you came and end your ruck.

Commando Crow:

And when I say ruck, like we called it ruck marching.

Commando Crow:

We threw a bag on our back and we went for 12 miles.

Commando Crow:

So I'm trying personally.

Commando Crow:

due to my experience, my knowledge, and what I prefer to carry in my

Commando Crow:

bag, I'm probably gonna be in the 40 pound, 45 pound range for my go bag.

Commando Crow:

Now, I used to go with 175, 180 pounds in my ruck.

Commando Crow:

You don't have to brag.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Believe me, it ain't bragging.

Commando Crow:

That's the reason I'm out of the military because it busted me up.

Commando Crow:

But it also cost me my chance to go special forces.

Commando Crow:

Bear in mind, that was coming out of an airplane

Commando Crow:

with that kind of weight.

Commando Crow:

So it's not bragging.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah, and moving with

Commando Crow:

a scout unit, which was comprised of about six people counting the

Commando Crow:

scout leader, our team leader.

Commando Crow:

So anyway, they moved fast and I moved just as fast as they

Commando Crow:

did, but with a lot more weight.

Commando Crow:

And

Commando Crow:

Get out there and carry it because if it ever does happen that you

Commando Crow:

cannot successfully defend your home or where you are, because remember

Commando Crow:

number one mission set in any bad situation, preservation of life.

Commando Crow:

I cannot say it enough.

Commando Crow:

Preservation of life, your life and everybody's life that's in that house.

Commando Crow:

Preservation of life.

Commando Crow:

Property means nothing.

Commando Crow:

If you have to get that go bag, then you need to be able to walk with it.

Commando Crow:

So get that go bag and go hike, get some buddies.

Commando Crow:

Yeah, get some buddies.

Commando Crow:

Go walk with it.

Commando Crow:

Hell,

Commando Crow:

I used to live in one of the coolest places in the world, which is

Commando Crow:

Austin, Texas.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah.

Commando Crow:

And look, I used to live on my bicycle and I was an active son of a gun.

Commando Crow:

I would ride all over the place on my bicycle.

Commando Crow:

Man,

Commando Crow:

I'd be riding or whatever I was doing.

Commando Crow:

I had to go to a restaurant.

Commando Crow:

Then when I got done, I'd be active some more.

Commando Crow:

Whatever calories I took in, I burned off within a couple miles.

Commando Crow:

So if you're rucking, man, there ain't many restaurants that say

Commando Crow:

you can't come in there with a bag.

Commando Crow:

Hey, if you go rucking and you decide you want to stop and get

Commando Crow:

you something to eat, Bust up in a restaurant, you and your buddies go

Commando Crow:

in there and grab something to eat.

Commando Crow:

When you get done eating, hey, head out of there.

Commando Crow:

It doesn't matter.

Commando Crow:

And just carry the weight.

Commando Crow:

Get used to carrying the weight.

Commando Crow:

And part of a go bag.

Commando Crow:

Oh, and by the way, just to interject, you don't really

Commando Crow:

necessarily have to carry a bag.

Commando Crow:

Carry the bag by all means, get used to it being on your back,

Commando Crow:

but there are ankle weights.

Commando Crow:

You can wear wrist weights.

Commando Crow:

You can, there's all kinds of substitutes you can use.

Commando Crow:

Just get used to carrying the weight.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah,

Commando Crow:

And that is a way you can start off.

Commando Crow:

But the thing about the bag is that when you put a bag on your back, the

Commando Crow:

weight distribution and where the weight lays on your body is totally different.

Commando Crow:

Now, ankle weights will not hurt by any means.

Commando Crow:

If you don't have a bag and you don't have one,

Commando Crow:

That's a 72 hour bag.

Commando Crow:

I wouldn't discourage anything to start getting you built up, but.

Commando Crow:

You got it.

Commando Crow:

I don't consider

Commando Crow:

That would be a viable substitute.

Commando Crow:

Maybe that's what I said, but I think it would help

Commando Crow:

In the sense that you would get used to having the weight on you,

Commando Crow:

but like you said, the bag on your back is not the same thing as having

Commando Crow:

wrist weights or ankle weights.

Commando Crow:

It feels different.

Commando Crow:

You're going to wear differently, but if you don't have one, put

Commando Crow:

some kind of weight on you.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: And if you do get a bag, try your

Commando Crow:

hardest to fit it to your body.

Commando Crow:

Some people are tall.

Commando Crow:

Some people are my height around 5'10 which I don't know

Commando Crow:

if I'm short or just average.

Commando Crow:

I think I'm just average.

Commando Crow:

And some people are shorter.

Commando Crow:

So the bag that I would wear that would properly fit my body wouldn't

Commando Crow:

be the exact same bag that my wife would wear because she's only 4'11

Commando Crow:

So get a bag that fits your body because that right there is going to

Commando Crow:

help preserve your physical nature.

Commando Crow:

You won't hurt yourself as bad.

Commando Crow:

Little things like that are important to keep in mind when you decide to

Commando Crow:

get a bag that is going to serve as your 72 hour bag or a go bag.

Commando Crow:

But yeah, throw it on your back, get used to walking with it.

Commando Crow:

And if you have to embrace the suck and you don't know how to embrace

Commando Crow:

it when it's raining outside, keep rucking, keep walking with

Commando Crow:

it on your back when it's raining.

Commando Crow:

You know what, rain sucks, but you won't be able to choose the

Commando Crow:

weather that you have to leave in if you have to leave your home.

Commando Crow:

So if you have to leave your home and it's storming outside, I'd be willing

Commando Crow:

to bet that if it's an indefensible position and it's raining, the idea

Commando Crow:

of it raining is not going to stop you from trying to preserve life.

Commando Crow:

If you have to go, you have to go.

Commando Crow:

So just get used to it now.

Commando Crow:

That's not a bad idea because,

Commando Crow:

A lot of people, how many times have you heard, Oh, I'm going to

Commando Crow:

melt if I get out in the rain.

Commando Crow:

I tell people all the time I was in the Navy.

Commando Crow:

I trained in this kind of weather.

Commando Crow:

You know what I'm saying?

Commando Crow:

Look, if it came down to a muddy swamp, a lot of people would look at

Commando Crow:

that and say, man, look at all the insects you can catch right there

Commando Crow:

now, man, getting the water go, right?

Commando Crow:

That's where you would be.

Commando Crow:

So if you can think of anything uncomfortable, challenge yourself

Commando Crow:

to attack that uncomfortable.

Commando Crow:

That's a real good way to go.

Commando Crow:

Believe it or not.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah.

Commando Crow:

And another thing that is just as important, probably, okay.

Commando Crow:

Actually, let me, I'm going to go back a little bit.

Commando Crow:

More important.

Commando Crow:

It's a close equal, but it's probably more important.

Commando Crow:

People do not think about your feet.

Commando Crow:

Okay.

Commando Crow:

No, I'm going to tell you right now.

Commando Crow:

Carry extra socks, carry foot powder but

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: get a quality pair of shoes.

Commando Crow:

In my opinion, I would say a pair of, now this is

Commando Crow:

just me.

Commando Crow:

I like tactical boots.

Commando Crow:

I like tactical boots for a lot of reasons.

Commando Crow:

They're full lace.

Commando Crow:

I can provide more support for my ankles.

Commando Crow:

There's typically a tactical boot, not all of them,

Commando Crow:

But a lot of tactical boots come with a very good aggressive sole

Commando Crow:

that allows for multiple types of terrain and weather conditions.

Commando Crow:

I prefer tactical boots, but hiking boots work.

Commando Crow:

Yeah, hiking boots work just as well, but

Commando Crow:

I prefer my boots over my tennis shoes.

Commando Crow:

My tennis shoes are quite comfortable, but if I had to, if I had to hit

Commando Crow:

rough terrain or I had to hit a lot of elevation changes, the boots all day long.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Absolutely.

Commando Crow:

And do not buy a new pair, especially if they're leather, and think you're

Commando Crow:

going to go the first time you bought them and go rucking with it.

Commando Crow:

You will destroy your feet.

Commando Crow:

Break your shoes in.

Commando Crow:

Yeah.

Commando Crow:

If they're real leather.

Commando Crow:

Soak them in water, put them on until they're dry and your

Commando Crow:

feet will stretch them out.

Commando Crow:

Do not take them off.

Commando Crow:

They will shrink smaller than your foot size and you're really going to play

Commando Crow:

hell getting your feet back in them.

Commando Crow:

Your

Commando Crow:

feet don't just stretch them out.

Commando Crow:

They will, like you say, when they dry out, they do shrink,

Commando Crow:

but they will form to your feet.

Commando Crow:

They will be yours.

Commando Crow:

Yes.

Commando Crow:

They'll be part of you then.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: So break in whatever shoes you have So you do not

Commando Crow:

deal with bad blistering or any problems that would be accrued or to your feet

Commando Crow:

that will prevent you from moving.

Commando Crow:

Keep yourself out of your medical bag.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah,

Commando Crow:

Unless you're the only one.

Commando Crow:

The more you use the medical supplies, the

Commando Crow:

less you have to use later on.

Commando Crow:

When things get really bad, you don't know really how long you're

Commando Crow:

going to go without medical supplies.

Commando Crow:

So you want to try to prepare for not using it.

Commando Crow:

That's the idea.

Commando Crow:

So

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: general rule to remember it goes along with

Commando Crow:

what he just said is one is none.

Commando Crow:

Two is one.

Commando Crow:

So if you have a go bag and you put a medical kit in there, don't go to

Commando Crow:

your go bag, if you cut your finger, you need to have an additional medical

Commando Crow:

kit in your house that you use.

Commando Crow:

Leave.

Commando Crow:

The supplies in your go bag alone.

Commando Crow:

Do not touch it.

Commando Crow:

You can if you want to, but when you have to have it,

Commando Crow:

you'll remember this conversation.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: One equals zero.

Commando Crow:

Two equals one.

Commando Crow:

Always figure a level of redundancy on supplies, period.

Commando Crow:

If you have a go bag and then you have a bug out bag, Don't put one

Commando Crow:

compass, don't buy one compass and leave it in one bag or the other.

Commando Crow:

Have each bag loaded out with a compass.

Commando Crow:

So

Commando Crow:

Now, that's one thing I have done, and I know you and

Commando Crow:

I have talked about this before, but one thing I have done is I've

Commando Crow:

taken into consideration that,

Commando Crow:

I've got Laura, you've got Salida.

Commando Crow:

I don't believe that Laura can carry as much as I can, but does that

Commando Crow:

mean that she'll be less effective?

Commando Crow:

No, I, she's not gonna move as fast as me, but does that mean

Commando Crow:

she's gonna be more dangerous?

Commando Crow:

No.

Commando Crow:

But at the same time, if I'm not making things equitable for her to be able to do

Commando Crow:

what we need to do, then now we're done,

Commando Crow:

But, I think I told you the other day, I got two compasses.

Commando Crow:

I got one for my bag, one for hers.

Commando Crow:

Now, I'm gonna have to learn how to use this compass.

Commando Crow:

I've never used one of these, but I will learn how and I'll teach her how.

Commando Crow:

I have certain medical stuff split up for her bag and my bag.

Commando Crow:

She'll learn how to use what I know how to use anyway, and that'll

Commando Crow:

be beneficial for her and for me.

Commando Crow:

But the idea is.

Commando Crow:

I hate to say work to the one that's least trained or least knowledgeable,

Commando Crow:

but in order to have survival at the greatest level, in some ways, that's

Commando Crow:

what you got to do, but everybody needs to be able to train for the unexpected.

Commando Crow:

Always be ready for the unexpected.

Commando Crow:

That's not to say that everybody's going to be all special forces, gung ho and all

Commando Crow:

this, but everybody needs to be trained to a certain degree to be prepared for

Commando Crow:

whatever might come, whatever that may be.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: That's great.

Commando Crow:

I tell you what, let's get back.

Commando Crow:

Let's do a Q and a thing if you don't mind.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Okay.

Commando Crow:

Because,

Commando Crow:

The just be if you just think about being in the place where you live.

Commando Crow:

There are just so many things that.

Commando Crow:

Should be taken into consideration and there are a lot of things that maybe,

Commando Crow:

I don't know, I guess the average person wouldn't think about, but

Commando Crow:

Let's just say,

Commando Crow:

Let's go with the,

Commando Crow:

The,

Commando Crow:

The conspiracy theory, if you will, let's just say that the

Commando Crow:

EMP drops on us in 48 hours.

Commando Crow:

What does the individual or family living inside a home, whether it be apartment

Commando Crow:

or house, what things would be the top things you would consider or think?

Commando Crow:

Or would you think a family needs to consider in that situation?

Commando Crow:

In

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: the EMP situation, in my opinion, the things

Commando Crow:

we spoke about earlier would be first and foremost, because you're

Commando Crow:

going to have societal breakdown.

Commando Crow:

So your environment being of the utmost importance, because if you live in

Commando Crow:

an urban environment or inner city, you probably want to do everything

Commando Crow:

you can within the first, probably 24 to 48 hours to get out of the city.

Commando Crow:

Because any and everything in the city, it will be up for grabs your stuff,

Commando Crow:

your neighbor's stuff, everybody's stuff

Commando Crow:

and bear in mind the EMP for those who don't

Commando Crow:

know is an electromagnetic pulse and what it's going to do.

Commando Crow:

And what that will do is it will If this bomb, which some countries already have

Commando Crow:

this capability, if they drop one over the United States, they'll put us in the dark.

Commando Crow:

And when I say in the dark, all electricity, water powered

Commando Crow:

vehicles, everything goes completely dead within a frame of about 48

Commando Crow:

hours, if I understand correctly.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Everything will be dead

Commando Crow:

once it goes off, if

Commando Crow:

you don't

Commando Crow:

have shielded electronics.

Commando Crow:

If it has a board in it, If it has a board in it, your telephone, your computer,

Commando Crow:

Anything electrical, your car, if you have a brand new car, even an

Commando Crow:

old car, it can fry the battery.

Commando Crow:

Faraday cages are good things to have,

Commando Crow:

Or Faraday bags.

Commando Crow:

Those will preserve electronics.

Commando Crow:

Now let's

Commando Crow:

base it on the assumption that nobody has it.

Commando Crow:

And I'm sure there are some who do, but let's just say nobody has that.

Commando Crow:

And EMP comes over to the United States, let's say tomorrow, you got 48 hours.

Commando Crow:

Actually, the grid will be dead in less than an hour, but people won't

Commando Crow:

realize it for about 24 to 48 hours.

Commando Crow:

So

Commando Crow:

Let's go with that.

Commando Crow:

Just inside the dwelling.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Okay.

Commando Crow:

If you're in an urban environment, I'm going to answer this from two different,

Commando Crow:

multiple different ways, actually, because I live more in a suburb, whereas

Commando Crow:

people that live in urban, if you live in a city, you get out of that city.

Commando Crow:

And I would say on the outside, 48 hours.

Commando Crow:

By the time people realize what happened, everything is subject for the taking.

Commando Crow:

Chaos.

Commando Crow:

It's all chaos.

Commando Crow:

Pure

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: chaos.

Commando Crow:

The absolute worst of humanity will be visibly witnessed by

Commando Crow:

people that have never imagined.

Commando Crow:

It'll be horrific.

Commando Crow:

Now that you said you, you are a suburb,

Commando Crow:

You're in the suburb of Jackson, Mississippi, and

Commando Crow:

I happen to be in Jackson.

Commando Crow:

Now

Commando Crow:

Your plan of attack may be a lot different than mine.

Commando Crow:

As a matter of fact, I would expect it to be because I am in Jackson.

Commando Crow:

And so

Commando Crow:

it

Commando Crow:

doesn't matter.

Commando Crow:

I'm in South Afghanistan now, but the point is whenever it, if the lights

Commando Crow:

go out, I'm just going to tell you, I don't care if it's just Jackson.

Commando Crow:

I'm going to treat it as though an EMP just got launched, and I'm bugging out.

Commando Crow:

We are leaving, okay?

Commando Crow:

Because I feel, and this is just the way I feel, because

Commando Crow:

I know the people around here.

Commando Crow:

People are gonna go crazy in about six hours.

Commando Crow:

I give it six.

Commando Crow:

Now, you're in a suburb of Jackson, but honestly, Pearl's a

Commando Crow:

lot better than what Jackson is.

Commando Crow:

Let's go with that, because I am in the city, I will not be staying

Commando Crow:

here not for any length of time.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: And once again,

Commando Crow:

We're talking the EMP scenario.

Commando Crow:

Once again, this is why it is vitally important for everybody to stock up

Commando Crow:

on food and water and have a go bag.

Commando Crow:

It's vitally important because regardless if that happens, you're

Commando Crow:

going to have to get out of there.

Commando Crow:

So for me, in a suburb, if an EMP goes off.

Commando Crow:

Chances are my vehicle is dead and I'm going to be depending on

Commando Crow:

whatever mode of transportation that I have, which I do have a bicycle

Commando Crow:

so I can cover more ground quickly.

Commando Crow:

But if I have to leave my home, if I already, Okay, let me go back and I don't

Commando Crow:

mean to jump around and confuse people.

Commando Crow:

I saw that in your face.

Commando Crow:

You look like you was thinking about something you could have already

Commando Crow:

Go ahead.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: When we spoke earlier about getting to know your

Commando Crow:

neighbors, an EMP in an urban environment, even if you know your neighbors, is still

Commando Crow:

probably not a good idea to stay there.

Commando Crow:

For me in a suburb, knowing my neighbors might buy me an additional

Commando Crow:

amount of time, but guaranteed.

Commando Crow:

The people of the urban environment.

Commando Crow:

I live just outside of the city.

Commando Crow:

It will not take them long to get to where I live.

Commando Crow:

That's what I was supposed to say.

Commando Crow:

You are sitting so close to the edge of where I am.

Commando Crow:

Your time frame is not much different from mine, but you are in a Better place

Commando Crow:

in, in regards to being in the suburb.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Now, once again, this being an EMP scenario, this is

Commando Crow:

why I say my property is non defensible position because of how many avenues of

Commando Crow:

approach that are available to somebody to get into my property or into my home.

Commando Crow:

Now, if I know my community.

Commando Crow:

Let's just say I do know almost everybody in my neighborhood and let's say that they

Commando Crow:

are all equally protected and they're all equal believers in the second amendment

Commando Crow:

and we have a way of watching out for each other then that will buy us more time.

Commando Crow:

Actually that'll buy you a lot of time.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: It will.

Commando Crow:

I say a

Commando Crow:

lot

Commando Crow:

Most people would think that's not a lot of time but if it can buy

Commando Crow:

you an extra two to four hours.

Commando Crow:

Two, 12 hours,

Commando Crow:

the way

Commando Crow:

we think, that's a lot of time.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Absolutely.

Commando Crow:

But, in my mind, the things that I'm looking at, if an EMP goes off, if

Commando Crow:

you look outside and the roads become completely congested with dead vehicles,

Commando Crow:

they're not moving, you have to ask yourself, they didn't all run out of gas.

Commando Crow:

Something else happened.

Commando Crow:

Don't forget the planes falling out of the sky.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Oh, absolutely.

Commando Crow:

So for me, that would allow me a little extra time to gather

Commando Crow:

things out of my home that I have already collected for a bad event.

Commando Crow:

So I would be able to collect my go bag.

Commando Crow:

I would be able to collect the supplies necessary being firearms, munitions, and

Commando Crow:

I would be able to, I would be able to collect my daughter, my son in law, grand

Commando Crow:

babies, My son in law's father, mother.

Commando Crow:

Yes, and

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: we would have a plan, already have a

Commando Crow:

plan to our next location.

Commando Crow:

Where are we going?

Commando Crow:

We will move to that location.

Commando Crow:

Now, in that situation, I'm going to do everything I can to avoid

Commando Crow:

any avenue of approach to anywhere.

Commando Crow:

Roads.

Commando Crow:

I will avoid roads like the plague.

Commando Crow:

I will avoid them because everybody else sooner than later will understand that

Commando Crow:

bad things have happened and they might see me with a pack and say I want what he

Commando Crow:

has because it might help them survive.

Commando Crow:

So I'm going to avoid the roads.

Commando Crow:

I need to become invisible to people at that moment and you don't know.

Commando Crow:

It could be somebody that you work with that you think would

Commando Crow:

be cool and watch your back.

Commando Crow:

But if they have a family and they are thirsty or they are starving,

Commando Crow:

they don't have your back.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: They don't have your back at all.

Commando Crow:

And now they

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: are a target.

Commando Crow:

And you and I've talked about this on many occasions.

Commando Crow:

And, I've said, you said, when it comes down to it, when the shit hits the

Commando Crow:

fan, I'm going to have a rally point.

Commando Crow:

That rally point will be designated for those whom I've already spoken to.

Commando Crow:

Who I already trust, and when the shit hits the fan, it's gonna be this simple.

Commando Crow:

When I make it to my rally point, friend, family, foe, I don't care

Commando Crow:

who you are, if you hadn't already had this prearranged deal, sorry.

Commando Crow:

You made a mistake approaching my area.

Commando Crow:

That's it.

Commando Crow:

And, yeah.

Commando Crow:

I hate to be like that.

Commando Crow:

I don't want to be like that, but unless you know what somebody

Commando Crow:

is capable of when it comes to survival, trust me, it is not good.

Commando Crow:

You don't know what they're capable of.

Commando Crow:

That's just it.

Commando Crow:

That's just it.

Commando Crow:

You don't.

Commando Crow:

And I hate, like I said, I hate to be like that.

Commando Crow:

Friend, family, or foe, if you encroach the area that I have claimed

Commando Crow:

or that I have lit upon, I And you show up with that announcement.

Commando Crow:

Look within the first nine months, don't do it, please.

Commando Crow:

Cause I'd hate to put somebody down because they didn't make

Commando Crow:

that previous arrangement

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: are going to be to break contact.

Commando Crow:

That would be my mission.

Commando Crow:

Set will be to break contact regardless if I've already fled and somebody

Commando Crow:

stumbles upon me, I'm going to do everything I can to avoid engaging.

Commando Crow:

And

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: neither do

Commando Crow:

I.

Commando Crow:

And again, it goes back to the way people act when they get desperate.

Commando Crow:

Look, when we came back from Texas to go to Katrina relief down on the

Commando Crow:

coast, I think we heard about it right as we were coming through Jackson.

Commando Crow:

Some guy killed his sister over a bag of ice.

Commando Crow:

Yep.

Commando Crow:

And this is what people resort to when things get really difficult.

Commando Crow:

So this is why I say community is so vitally important right now.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Because you'll have each other's back.

Commando Crow:

And like I said, don't get political with them.

Commando Crow:

You don't care about politics.

Commando Crow:

You want to ask questions that will establish some type of a baseline.

Commando Crow:

and make it clear to you.

Commando Crow:

What type of person are they?

Commando Crow:

Are they the type of person that will be before it becomes a desperate situation?

Commando Crow:

Take advantage of people.

Commando Crow:

Or do you think they will be the type of person that in a tough

Commando Crow:

situation would be more apt to watch your back and assist you?

Commando Crow:

You have to be able to establish these things when you're developing a sense

Commando Crow:

of community because humans are the most vicious animal that walks the

Commando Crow:

planet and the most unpredictable.

Commando Crow:

And the reason for that is, is because of all the animals on

Commando Crow:

the planet, we are the most intelligent, which means we have the ability to

Commando Crow:

devise, reason, consider, and execute.

Commando Crow:

And execute, yes.

Commando Crow:

And that's, people are by far the most dangerous animals on the planet.

Commando Crow:

That makes it imperative for you to know your fellow human.

Commando Crow:

Simply put.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: In the EMP situation, I've already, you need to take

Commando Crow:

stock of how many rounds do you have?

Commando Crow:

What types of firearms do you have, what types of defense?

Commando Crow:

I have a million knives.

Commando Crow:

I'm gonna use this as an example later.

Commando Crow:

If I wind up running into people that intend me, no harm, and they honestly are

Commando Crow:

trying to do the same thing and survive and they have something that I want.

Commando Crow:

And they don't have a knife.

Commando Crow:

I can trade with a knife.

Commando Crow:

Always have things that are barter, packs of cigarettes, anything

Commando Crow:

that you can use to barter.

Commando Crow:

Okay.

Commando Crow:

Cause you're not going to have everything, but I'm going to get

Commando Crow:

back to the munitions, know how many rounds, depending on the weapons you

Commando Crow:

got, how many rounds for each weapon I can go through a small example.

Commando Crow:

I have firearms and I have pellet rifles.

Commando Crow:

I've got slingshots and I've got takedown recurve bows.

Commando Crow:

More of a primitive bow and arrow as opposed to a crossbow.

Commando Crow:

Now, I have, my firearms will be utilized for defense purposes

Commando Crow:

only because The first things that are going to be stolen out of the

Commando Crow:

stores will be weapons and bullets.

Commando Crow:

You're not going to be able to get them.

Commando Crow:

They're going to be gone.

Commando Crow:

Don't forget food.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: And food.

Commando Crow:

But I'm just saying, means to provide food.

Commando Crow:

Those things will be gone before you need them.

Commando Crow:

I guarantee you within the first 24 hours

Commando Crow:

of an incident, everything's

Commando Crow:

looted.

Commando Crow:

And the stores will be looted, so your house will be next.

Commando Crow:

And I'm not, look, I know you're not doing this, Patrick, but I'm not saying this

Commando Crow:

to scare anybody, but it is to prepare you, because these events will take

Commando Crow:

place, and it's only a matter of time.

Commando Crow:

This, none of this is to put anybody on a level of fear.

Commando Crow:

fear just to be scaring you.

Commando Crow:

That's the job of Wes Craven and Stephen King.

Commando Crow:

That's not what we're doing.

Commando Crow:

Just be prepared for it.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah.

Commando Crow:

But I would strongly urge people to get into primitive weapons.

Commando Crow:

I have a high powered pellet rifle.

Commando Crow:

I can drop small game with it and not have an issue.

Commando Crow:

Small game?

Commando Crow:

You can drop pigs with that thing.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: I could.

Commando Crow:

I could probably drop a person if I have proper placement.

Commando Crow:

placement The only thing about that is that it's actually

Commando Crow:

louder than a 22 long rifle.

Commando Crow:

Sounds like one if you're in the right place.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Yeah, but it's actually louder than a 22

Commando Crow:

long rifle without a can on it.

Commando Crow:

So that makes me re figure a little bit.

Commando Crow:

But take note of what you got.

Commando Crow:

Then you need to take note of, OK, what is going to be the hardest things to

Commando Crow:

replace and what is going to be the most desired thing for defense of your life?

Commando Crow:

Remember, preservation of life.

Commando Crow:

I can't say that enough.

Commando Crow:

Preservation of life.

Commando Crow:

If you think at some point, yeah, if you think at some point you might

Commando Crow:

have to use a firearm to defend yourself, Then that firearm should

Commando Crow:

be the absolute last thing you use to go hunt deer or anything like that.

Commando Crow:

That is correct.

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: That's what makes primitive weapons.

Commando Crow:

I deal a bow and arrow, a crossbow, a slingshot, get these things.

Commando Crow:

And by the way, it is considered a permanent weapon, but

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: it is, but then you're going to have issue with being able

Commando Crow:

to acquire black powder at a later date.

Commando Crow:

So you're still going to be looking at.

Commando Crow:

Primitive in nature, I can whittle some arrows.

Commando Crow:

I'm thinking about getting a crossbow.

Commando Crow:

I can make some bolts for a crossbow.

Commando Crow:

They're not called arrows, they're called bolts.

Commando Crow:

I can make bows.

Commando Crow:

That's correct.

Commando Crow:

If I run out of arrows or I run out of bolts, I can get down in the woods

Commando Crow:

and get me some straight Whether it be bamboo or some limbs and pull out

Commando Crow:

one of my mini pocket knives or knives And I can whittle me some bolts.

Commando Crow:

So I will

Commando Crow:

whichever one you did not give to your granddaughter

Commando Crow:

All-American Commando: Correct.

Commando Crow:

I will always have a level of weaponry for defense and to provide food Now

Commando Crow:

I will say my firearms that would be defense weapons In case I had to defend

Commando Crow:

myself, I can rain hell on a small group of people if I'm in the woods with an AR.

Commando Crow:

I've got no doubt in my mind that an average Joe, I could rain hell on 10 to 15

Commando Crow:

people in a wooded environment with an AR.
