Shownotes

Judy is celebrating this Holy Week with an evening meditation much like the Hebrew passover prayer of the Dayeinu, pondering and remembering our own deliverance from our bondage. And through this meditative prayer we will redeem our day, by discovering the wins we experienced, and the small and simple things we found with gratitude, and looking forward with our hopes and wishes for tomorrow. This meditation is also meant to be a daily journaling experience that we invite you to join us in and see where it lightens your journey through your wilderness to your promise land. Happy Holy Week from The Creative Spiritual Journey family. We know He Lives!

Speaker:

Welcome, Franz to the Creative Spiritual

Journey podcast, where GI and I walk

2

:

with you for just a moment on this

journey of life, and share with you

3

:

the things of our heart and the joys

that we're experiencing along the way.

4

:

One of these ways that we connect with

nature and with our savior and the

5

:

spirit is through meditative prayer.

6

:

This meditation is a continuation of last

week's episode, a Daily Nu, which is a

7

:

Hebrew Passover prayer of remembrance

of their deliverance from Egypt,

8

:

And to remember that the story of

the Passover, the deliverance of the

9

:

Israelites was a foreshadowing of the

Messiah of his deliverance of each

10

:

one of us from sin and from death

in his great and infinite atonement.

11

:

Today when I'm recording this,

it is the beginning of Holy Week.

12

:

And this is my celebration

Thank you for joining me today.

13

:

. this meditative prayer is dedicated to

our remembering our deliverance, our

14

:

journey through the wilderness of our

lives, and how the Lord has directed

15

:

and blessed us with miracles along

the way and also to having the eyes to

16

:

see our promised land out before us.

17

:

. This is gonna be a little different

because this meditation is.

18

:

An evening meditation, a time when

you're done with the day, and we're

19

:

reflecting and remembering upon the

things that we had experienced in our

20

:

travels today, and redeeming the day.

21

:

So I mentioned a story of Sister

Dana Earl, where she recorded.

22

:

In a journal, when she saw the hand of

God, the experiences where she felt the

23

:

spirit and felt delivered, and she called

them experiences that she could put in

24

:

her pocket to remember, God was with her

Then when she went forward the next day,

25

:

she had those evidences in her pocket.

26

:

I call 'em pocket hearts, where I

remember that the Lord delivered me

27

:

then and he will continue to deliver me.

28

:

The purpose of this meditation is

we are collecting evidence so we can

29

:

override our negative bias that we have.

30

:

in the evening where we.

31

:

beat ourself up from the things

that we felt like we didn't

32

:

do so well, that we messed up.

33

:

Ah, we failed here.

34

:

We failed there.

35

:

But no, we're gonna take a moment to

meditate and ponder on the things that we

36

:

showed up for that we should be proud of.

37

:

The small little wins and the things

that we noticed along the way.

38

:

The small and simple things that.

39

:

We are gonna express gratitude for the

things that brought us joy and light,

40

:

and also ponder and remember that we

have hopes there is a destination here.

41

:

We're not just wandering through

the wilderness where is a

42

:

destination of a promised land.

43

:

So we're gonna have some pauses in

this meditation where you get to

44

:

reflect on your day and remember.

45

:

And redeem.

46

:

And then you can either

do this one or two ways.

47

:

You can do the meditation before writing

it down in your journal, or you can

48

:

write it down in your journal and then

meditate upon what you've written.

49

:

Um, maybe you might even wanna

do it together simultaneously.

50

:

It is your call.

51

:

So like all meditations, if you

would get nice and comfortable

52

:

because we don't wanna be distracted.

53

:

Find a nice quiet place so

you can reflect upon your day.

54

:

And feel the spirit and like all

meditative prayers, you can begin

55

:

as you do in, in prayer, in the name

of Jesus Christ, and sit reverently

56

:

and quietly and just begin to

sense what's going on in your body.

57

:

Find your breath.

58

:

I'm gonna breathe in.

59

:

I like to imagine breathing in light.

60

:

Light into the heart and exhale

chasing out any darkness.

61

:

I'm gonna just let the day roll off of us

62

:

and be here in this moment.

63

:

Breathing,

64

:

pondering.

65

:

Being the open vessel, opening our heart

for that light, for the spirit to pour in.

66

:

And a nice exhale

67

:

when you find your mind wandering.

68

:

Remember, come back to the

simpleness of breathing in

69

:

and out, and here I am again.

70

:

As we breathe in and feel our

hearts and our minds with this warm

71

:

healing light, let's just think back

through the day without judgment,

72

:

just observing

73

:

and looking for where did.

74

:

You show up some wins, some

things you're proud of.

75

:

At the same time noticing

how God showed up for you.

76

:

Also

77

:

breathing in and looking for the

miracles, sort through your day.

78

:

Breathing in and out.

79

:

Stay with breath

80

:

today.

81

:

What were the wins?

82

:

Where did God show up in your deliverance?

83

:

And repeat it a few times in your mind.

84

:

Once you've sorted through

and you have found it

85

:

breathing in the things you're thankful

for today, what small and simple

86

:

things are you so grateful for today?

87

:

Where did you feel the love of God?

88

:

Where did you feel joy?

89

:

Where did you see beauty,

90

:

kindness, forgiveness?

91

:

It is not always shiny and

polished and perfect in most times.

92

:

It's in the broken pieces.

93

:

The messy palette

94

:

remain the open vessel.

95

:

Stay with the breath.

96

:

Maybe even pray for eyes to see.

97

:

Now breathing in, here's

where it gets fun.

98

:

What are your hopes and

wishes for tomorrow?

99

:

What do you hope to find tomorrow?

100

:

Where do you plan to meet?

101

:

God?

102

:

He's all past, present, and future.

103

:

meet him in the now?

104

:

And what are your hopes to discover?

105

:

dream big here.

106

:

Why not?

107

:

God is a God of miracles.

108

:

Sending manna from heaven or partying.

109

:

Your red seas so you could walk on dry

ground delivering you from your enemies.

110

:

And this is how he is in the case of

all his children that turn to him.

111

:

So step forward with that

faith that your promised land

112

:

is laying out there before you

113

:

breathing in hope.

114

:

A perfect brightness of hope

shining brightly before you.

115

:

before we open our eyes, let's

just ponder again, review.

116

:

The winds today.

117

:

The Miracles.

118

:

Where did you show up and

how did God show up for you?

119

:

What are you grateful for today?

120

:

The small and simple.

121

:

And what are your hopes?

122

:

And wishes for tomorrow

123

:

Stay with breath as long as you'd like.

124

:

Here.

125

:

Meditating on the day,

pondering, reviewing, redeeming,

126

:

and when you're ready, just gently

open your eyes, taking a big sigh.

127

:

And hopefully you'll rest peacefully

tonight in that warmth of remembering.

128

:

by keeping track of your

daily wins your daily.

129

:

Gratitudes and your daily hopes

for tomorrow because he is there

130

:

and he cares and he loves you.

131

:

Thank you for joining me on the trail.

132

:

Have a wonderful Holy week.

133

:

Goodnight.

134

:

Namaste.
