What is more important is that truth is not subject to interpretation. It is what it is. Whether I believe it or choose another belief, does not change the truth. I cannot think of God in or out of existence. Social norms, popular opinion and political winds do not create truth. We must understand the difference between convenient norms, which may be temporarily useful, and factual truth which cannot be.
