On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court held an oral argument to deliberate over the White House’s plan to roll back Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The policy, first implemented by the Obama administration in August 2012, allows undocumented individuals who were brought to the country as children to live and work in the US safe from deportation. DACA, if canceled, would place over 600,000 ‘Dreamers’ in jeopardy.
Erickson Immigration Group’s Legal Writer Kahn Branch attended the court hearing and joins the podcast to highlight the core questions at the center of this case, and what we can expect in DACA’s future.
