The central theme of today's discourse elucidates the profound truth that disobedience can precipitate the loss of blessings, even when one is ostensibly favored by God. We are reminded that while God has endowed humanity with dominion and resources, it is the act of disobedience that can lead to spiritual barrenness, as articulated in Genesis 3:17–19. The message underscores the necessity of aligning oneself with divine commandments to retain the blessings bestowed upon us. Furthermore, it emphasizes that true prosperity is not merely acquiring wealth but maintaining it through obedience and integrity. Through the exploration of Adam's choices and their ramifications, we are called to reflect on our own lives and the choices we make that may hinder our blessings. The discourse presented in this episode is profoundly centered on the theme of disobedience and its consequential impact on our lives, finances, and relationships. The speaker emphasizes that while humanity was endowed with dominion and resources by the Creator, the narrative from Genesis 3 illustrates the dire ramifications of transgressing divine commands. The sobering realization is that one can be blessed yet still experience loss due to disobedience. The speaker asserts that many individuals mistakenly attribute their hardships to external forces, such as the devil, when in fact, it is their own choices that lead to such consequences. The delineation between spiritual jurisdiction and disobedience is made abundantly clear, as it is articulated that obedience is not merely a restriction but rather a protective measure instituted by God. This foundational understanding sets the stage for the subsequent exploration of how disobedience manifests in various forms and ultimately leads to a life of struggle, likened to working hard yet reaping minimal rewards, akin to laboring on cursed ground. The speaker urges listeners to engage in self-reflection, identify personal areas of compromise, and take actionable steps towards repentance and alignment with divine principles, thereby fostering a path toward restoration and legacy building. The profound insights offered within this message are further elucidated through scriptural references, particularly highlighting the transformative power of Jesus Christ, who redeems us from the bondage of the law. The speaker articulates that while Adam's disobedience led to the loss of Eden, Christ's obedience restores what was lost, offering a path to redemption that does not permit moral laxity but empowers realignment with God's will. This episode underscores the importance of understanding that grace is not a license for negligence but rather a call to diligent stewardship of the blessings bestowed upon us. By emphasizing the necessity of submission to God before one can effectively resist the adversary, the discourse encourages a proactive approach to spiritual growth and integrity. Finally, the episode concludes with a clarion call for personal accountability and a commitment to action. The speaker outlines practical steps to rectify areas of disobedience, thereby fostering a life marked by divine favor and prosperity. Through the identification of sinful patterns, sincere repentance, and the recommitment to spiritual disciplines, individuals are invited to embark on a journey toward blessed living. The overarching message is clear: true prosperity in God's kingdom is intricately linked to our obedience and responsibility in managing the resources and opportunities provided to us. With a firm exhortation to build a legacy that honors God, this episode serves as a powerful reminder of the critical intersection between faith, obedience, and the fulfillment of our divine purpose.
Takeaways:
Brothers and sisters, today is not the shout message.
Speaker A:Today is a sobering message.
Speaker A:Today is the message that saves your life, your money, your marriage, and your legacy.
Speaker A:If you will listen.
Speaker A:Because Eden teaches us something beautiful.
Speaker A:God created man with dominion and resources.
Speaker A:But Genesis 3 teaches us something painful.
Speaker A:You can be blessed and still lose it through disobedience.
Speaker A:Let me say plainly, God can prosper you and you can still sabotage you.
Speaker A:God can open doors and you can still walk into a trap.
Speaker A:God can give you increase and you can still leak it through compromise.
Speaker A:And many people are rebuking the devil for what is actually a consequence of disobedience.
Speaker A:Yes, the devil is real, but so are choices.
Speaker A:So is character.
Speaker A:So is obedience.
Speaker A:And biblical prosperity is not just getting blessed.
Speaker A:Biblical prosperity is staying aligned so you can keep what God gives.
Speaker A:Let's go into the word.
Speaker A:Genesis 3, verse 17 to 19 tells us to Adam, he said, cursed is the ground because of you.
Speaker A:Through painful toil, you will eat food from it all the days of your life.
Speaker A:By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food.
Speaker A:Brothers and sisters, notice God does not say cursed as the ground because of Satan.
Speaker A:He says, cursed is the ground because of you.
Speaker A:Now this is where maturity begins.
Speaker A:Because a victim mindset says it's everybody else, but a dominion mindset says, I'll take responsibility and realign with God.
Speaker A:Point number one, disobedience breaks coverage.
Speaker A:Adam's issue wasn't lack of opportunity.
Speaker A:Adam was in the garden of God.
Speaker A:Adam's issue wasn't lack of resources.
Speaker A:There was gold in the land.
Speaker A:Adam's issue was not lack of favor.
Speaker A:God walked with them.
Speaker A:Adam's issue was one thing, disobedience.
Speaker A:Now people argue about the fruit, the serpent, the temptation.
Speaker A:That's fine.
Speaker A:But the spiritual reality is also simple.
Speaker A:When Adam disobeyed God, he surrendered spiritual jurisdiction.
Speaker A:Many people today don't understand spiritual coverage.
Speaker A:They want the blessing of the Lord without the boundaries of the Lord.
Speaker A:But the first protection God gave Adam wasn't an angel with a sword.
Speaker A:It was a command.
Speaker A:Obedience is not restriction.
Speaker A:Obedience is protection.
Speaker A:The serpent didn't just tempt Eve to eat.
Speaker A:He tempted her to question God's word.
Speaker A:Did God really say the same spirit is still here?
Speaker A:Did God really say give?
Speaker A:Did God really say, be faithful?
Speaker A:Did God really say forgive?
Speaker A:Did God really say, flee lust?
Speaker A:Did God really say, don't be unequally yoked?
Speaker A:Did God really say, don't lie?
Speaker A:Because the devil knows if he can get you to bend God's word, he can get you to break your life.
Speaker A:Romans 6:16 says, don't you know that when you offer yourself to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey.
Speaker A:When you obey sin, you, you empower bondage.
Speaker A:But when you obey God, you empower blessing.
Speaker A:Say this with me, obedience is my covering.
Speaker A:Point 2 cursed ground looks like hard work with low return.
Speaker A:Now listen carefully.
Speaker A:When the curse hits, it doesn't mean Adam stops working.
Speaker A:It means work becomes harder and yields less.
Speaker A:Genesis 3 says, Painful toil, thorns and thistles sweat.
Speaker A:So cursed ground is not no effort.
Speaker A:Cursed ground is maximum effort with minimum reward.
Speaker A:Now that is why some people feel like I'm always busy, but I'm not advancing.
Speaker A:I'm always working, but I'm always behind.
Speaker A:I'm always trying, but something keeps resisting me.
Speaker A:Sometimes that's warfare, but sometimes that is a leak created by disobedience.
Speaker A:And God loves you too much to let you keep pretending.
Speaker A:Haggai16 says, you have planted much but harvested little.
Speaker A:You earn wages only to put them in a purse with holes in it.
Speaker A:That's cursed ground language.
Speaker A:A purse with holes.
Speaker A:You're not broke because you don't earn.
Speaker A:You're broke because you can't keep.
Speaker A:I'm gonna say that again because that was.
Speaker A:That was powerful.
Speaker A:You're not broke because you don't earn.
Speaker A:You're broke because you don't keep.
Speaker A:Disobedience doesn't always stop money from coming.
Speaker A:Sometimes it stops money from staying.
Speaker A:And what does disobedience look like practically?
Speaker A:Lets bring it home.
Speaker A:Dishonesty in business, cutting corners, corruption because everybody does it.
Speaker A:Impulse spending with no discipline.
Speaker A:Pride that won't take counsel.
Speaker A:Laziness disguised as rest.
Speaker A:Sexual sin that drains your mind and your marriage.
Speaker A:Bitterness that poisons your decisions.
Speaker A:Refusing to tithe and give when God convicts you.
Speaker A:Staying in relationships, God told you to leave.
Speaker A:And refusing forgiveness while asking God for favor.
Speaker A:Brothers and sisters, I'm not judging you.
Speaker A:I'm trying to save you and also myself through Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:Because God doesn't just want to bless you, he wants you to keep the blessing and build a legacy.
Speaker A:Point 3 Redemption restores with disobedience destroyed.
Speaker A:Now here's the good news, because some of you are feeling heavy right now.
Speaker A:Yes, Adam lost Eden through disobedience.
Speaker A:But Jesus restores what Adam lost through obedience.
Speaker A:Where Adam said yes to the serpent, Jesus said no to Satan.
Speaker A:In the wilderness where Adam reached for forbidden fruit, Jesus became the righteous fruit of obedience.
Speaker A:And Bible says Galatians 3:13, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.
Speaker A:So the curse is not your inheritance in Christ.
Speaker A:Bondage is not your inheritance in Christ.
Speaker A:Cursed ground is not your final portion in Christ.
Speaker A:But let me be clear.
Speaker A:Redemption is not permission to be sloppy.
Speaker A:Redemption is power to realign.
Speaker A:Grace is not a license, it's a lifting.
Speaker A: And Jesus said in John: Speaker A:Later, that's life now.
Speaker A:Fullness, fruitfulness and wholeness.
Speaker A:But fullness Requires Alignment.
Speaker A:James 4:7 Submit yourself then to God.
Speaker A:Resist the devil and he will flee.
Speaker A:Notice the order.
Speaker A:Submit first, resist second.
Speaker A:Some people are resisting the devil with a life that refuses submission.
Speaker A:That's work, Brothers and sisters.
Speaker A:If you want to break cursed ground cycles, do these three things this week.
Speaker A:1.
Speaker A:Identify the fruit.
Speaker A:What is the one thing God told you not to touch, but you kept touching?
Speaker A:What is one?
Speaker A:Compromise that keeps repeating.
Speaker A:Name it, don't rename it.
Speaker A:For some, it may be lust.
Speaker A:For some, maybe dishonesty.
Speaker A:For some, it's pride.
Speaker A:For some, it's spending.
Speaker A:For some, it's bitterness.
Speaker A:2.
Speaker A:Repent with action.
Speaker A:Repentance is not tears.
Speaker A:Only repentance is turning.
Speaker A:It is if spending.
Speaker A:If it's spending, build a budget.
Speaker A:If it's lust, cut access and get accountability.
Speaker A:If it's dishonesty, make it right.
Speaker A:If it's bitterness, release forgiveness.
Speaker A:If it's laziness creates structure.
Speaker A:3.
Speaker A:Rebuild alignment.
Speaker A:Return to prayer, return to the word, return to discipline, return to giving and return to integrity.
Speaker A:Because God doesn't bless rebellion, he blesses obedience.
Speaker A:And here's the rebuke with love.
Speaker A:You can't pray your way out of what you keep practicing.
Speaker A:You can't rebuke the devil while entertaining the serpent.
Speaker A: Proverbs: Speaker A:Whoever conceals their sin does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Speaker A:So prosperity is connected to confession and renunciation, not perfection.
Speaker A:Alignment.
Speaker A:And I want to declare this over you.
Speaker A:Your family line will not be known for cursed ground.
Speaker A:It will be known for blessed ground.
Speaker A:Here are some questions for reflection.
Speaker A:Where have I blamed the devil?
Speaker A:For what my choices created?
Speaker A:What purse withholds are draining, areas are draining my life, money, time, purity and peace.
Speaker A:What one act of obedience would shift my legacy?
Speaker A:Starting today, let us pray.
Speaker A:Father, in Jesus name, I repent for every act of disobedience, public and private.
Speaker A:Forgive me for compromise, for rationalizing sin, for ignoring your conviction.
Speaker A:Wash me and restore me Lord close every leak in my life Where I have been dishonest make me faithful Where I have been undisciplined make me steadfast Where I have been lustful make me pure Where I have been proud make me humble Where I have been bitter make me forgiving thank you that Christ redeemed me from the curse I receive grace to realign I receive wisdom to steward I receive power to obey Bless the work of my hands Let my ground be fruitful again Let my home be ordered again Let my mind be renewed again Let my finances be stabilized again and let my life prosper for your glory and your kingdom purpose in Jesus mighty name Amen Brothers and sisters, Eden prosperity is real But Eden prosperity is not just getting, it is governing it is stewarding and it is obeying.
Speaker A:Adam shows us the blueprint and Jesus shows us the restoration.
Speaker A:So I leave you with this brothers and sisters.
Speaker A:Dominion without obedience becomes disaster but dominion under God becomes legacy.
Speaker A:Go and build in Jesus name Amen.
