Shownotes
In today's episode, I’m sharing something I’ve never really talked about extensively. For some reason, it’s been on my heart and my mind to talk about how, when, and why I reconsidered my relationship with alcohol. This is something that has looked very different for me in various seasons of my life, but it’s also impacted me in powerful ways. I know this is very personalized and unique for everyone, but I feel like there are some pieces of my process and journey that you will resonate with too. I hope this at least serves as an invitation for you to reevaluate anything in your own life, and not be afraid to make positive changes when you feel called to do so!
In this episode, we cover:
- My early relationship with alcohol, and how that affected me growing up
- My experience with alcohol in college, and how it made me feel around other people
- Realizing how much of my life was spent thinking about when I would have my next drink
- Navigating pregnancy and learning how to connect with others without bonding over drinking
- Starting my postpartum health journey and making the decision to remove alcohol from my diet for a 90 day habit challenge
- Why alcohol is now a very INTENTIONAL choice instead of a default mechanism in my daily life
- Taking the time to determine WHY you’re doing what you’re doing, and if it’s getting you closer to the life you really want to live
