Whenever I'm running, I'm always looking for the most efficient way to do things. So I'm feeling good and I'm running well then carry on and just let my mind roam wherever it runs. On other days, when I feel a bit out of balance, maybe one side might be hurting slightly. Maybe I'm feeling like my legs can't keep up with my endurance from a lot lung capacity, or vice versa. My lungs are burning, my body feels good. I'm always looking at what what what could be going on. And a realization for about six months ago was the need to trust my body. And how different moments in time. Take away that trust. The first time it happened, it was I was laboring in my breathing. And we're talking about grief, my mind went back to where my when my dad passed in the lead up to that he was coughing, a lot coughing up a lot of stuff from his lungs. And that's what I witnessed and at different times I've experienced myself, I now know that the lungs hold grief. So when I was running in my lungs were struggling. It was having a conversation in my head around what was going to happen to my dad and what might be happening for me and what I could do about it and a realization was because I had witnessed that because I'd seen why my dad's decline, that I wasn't trusting my lungs. And so I had a conversation myself on that route. I was asking my unconscious mind to trust my body to trust my lawn to trust my lungs. And with equal an affirmation or just a positive statement, encouragement, it worked because I relaxed more. And I trusted my lungs and I was able to breathe deeper. And what I realized was I was breathing more shallow than I needed to because I wasn't exhaling enough. I was gasping for air but I wasn't leaving enough space to allow more oxygen. So I just calmly started focusing on my out breath spoken about this in a previous episode in what has kept reminding myself to trust my body to trust my body to trust my body. And over the next month or two the times I was running increased significantly because I built that trust with my body again. Now that four weeks ago, that a night out late overindulgence cold. My my young fella had been sick with a cold the week before. And by Tuesday I had a cold and I was still functioning I worked all week, but it did knock me around. I didn't run that week. I didn't run the week after I went back to running. I was not trusting my body. First Run. My right calf was hurting because physically I was still weak. Probably mentally, I was still processing, like getting sick, like I pride myself on like getting sick and all that allowed myself to get sick, or neither reason why but still was messing with my head. And then there were other things at play two things that were going on in my life at the time, the personal stuff, which I was working through. And so over the last three or four weeks, have been running significantly slower than I had been wide regress back to the times I've been running about six months ago. And today, I prepared better. Got on the roller on the calf that was struggling. And instead of running, focusing on the outcome on a time, I just read, process, right, try to get my body and body in balance, tried to just ran the most efficient way I could. And then when my calf did show some pain, I start having a conversation myself, to trust my body to trust that my leg will improve. It also showed me that I was running out of alignment. And I was favoring one side. Really simple. Sometimes you overcomplicate things. So getting back to making sure I was using my left leg and equal measure. Now whenever I'm talking left and right, I also talk about the feminine and the masculine. Was it being too stuck in trying to be driven all the time? Was I being too forceful? Was I pushing? Important when they're important, but the reality was is that I've got a holiday coming up in just over a week's time. Incidentally, the podcasts will continue through that time, I'll pre record for all of you. But I am at that point where I'm like, I need to start winding down for that holiday. Because I am in need of the rest, I'm in need of the break. And because I've been trying to push instead of driving and following aligned action, I've been trying to push to get things done, that I'd gone away from that more creative and nurturing side the feminine. And whether you are male or female, there needs to be a balance of what is right for you. If you're too far, one direction, you'll be out of balance, your body will respond the same way as will your mind as will your emotions. But when you get yourself in the right balance for you, and no one can tell you what they should be that things start to balance out. And things start to feel good. So I started thinking about how I needed to operate differently. I'd be more restful today, haven't done a heap of work. And it's funny when you don't this inspiration for coming in recording podcast episodes. For the rest of that run, I was so much more balanced. And curiously, I ran the best time I've run in about five weeks. Not trying to run a fast time, but trying to be in balance and trusting my body. So your body's constantly talking to you. But it also needs you to trust it. It needs to trust the message needed to trust the message and it needs you to put trust in it. put faith in it to have as a part of your body that's not operating at its highest at the moment. Have that conversation with yourself. Positive language is so beneficial. Tell it you tell your body that you trust it. At the same time be curious about what your body might be telling you. If it's on one side of your body, were you out of balance physically, or they said I was running favoring one leg but also mentally emotionally spiritually. Be curious, have a look at how you're operating. Have a think about when you are in balance and things are flowing really nicely how you operate. Make the adjustments.
