Shownotes
Welcome to RadioFolk.dk's podcast Folk Live. In this edition of the podcast we will be featuring the Norwegian singer Kajsa Balto, recorded at the famous Danish Tønder Festival, that runs the last weekend of August every year.
Kajsa Balto is a sámi artist born and raised in Oslo. She works in a cross field between the traditional yoik singing of the sámi people, as well as pop and world music, singing very old songs from Sápmi, the sámi territory in the very North, as well as new songs that she writes herself, or with friends.
For this concert she brought her band which consists of Ragnhild Tronsmo Haugland on the cello, Aleksander Sjølie on guitars, and Mats Mæland Jensen on the drums.
