Speaker:

Hey, everybody.

2

:

Welcome back to another edition

of the Daily Bible Podcast.

3

:

Hi, Tuesday.

4

:

Tuesday.

5

:

It is Tuesday.

6

:

I thought it was Monday for a second.

7

:

It's not.

8

:

It's Tuesday.

9

:

Monday was yesterday.

10

:

Yeah.

11

:

Every week happens that way.

12

:

Monday, Tuesday, fall is Monday.

13

:

That's right.

14

:

And then Wednesday comes tomorrow, right?

15

:

Still.

16

:

Okay?

17

:

All right.

18

:

Yeah, consistency.

19

:

God made it that way.

20

:

He did make it that way.

21

:

Yeah.

22

:

Hey, it's Tuesday and we are back

with another riveting edition

23

:

of the Daily Bible Podcast.

24

:

And hopefully you've

had a good week so far.

25

:

Monday is the day that, that we're off.

26

:

And so we were at home with

our families yesterday.

27

:

We trust that it went well.

28

:

Trust that your workday got off to a work

week, got off to our good start and that

29

:

today you are already hard at work and

you've accomplished a million things.

30

:

You've accomplished more

today already than most people

31

:

accomplish in a full 24 hours.

32

:

But maybe not, maybe.

33

:

Maybe it's just a normal

Tuesday, and that's fine too.

34

:

As long as the Bible's a part of it.

35

:

If the Bible's not a part of

your day, then it's not okay.

36

:

You need to have the Bible

be a part of your day.

37

:

This isn't the Bible.

38

:

This is us talking about the Bible.

39

:

So make sure you don't

confuse those two things.

40

:

Don't think I did the DBR podcast,

so therefore I did the DBR.

41

:

Not the same thing.

42

:

Not it's not, but it is helpful.

43

:

It's a good supplement.

44

:

Yeah, great supplement.

45

:

Yeah, I was thinking maybe one year.

46

:

What we do for the Dbr R podcast

is we just read the whole Bible.

47

:

Oh, wow.

48

:

And then we have a built

in audio bible for people.

49

:

Here's a better idea.

50

:

Okay.

51

:

We clone our voices, particularly yours.

52

:

I don't.

53

:

And then I copy and paste

the text for the day into the

54

:

podcast and it does it for us.

55

:

Wow.

56

:

What a great idea, pastor Rod.

57

:

I don't want to do that.

58

:

This is why you're here.

59

:

Can't wait for us to do that.

60

:

I, thanks, bro.

61

:

I don't.

62

:

I'm looking forward to it.

63

:

I don't want Good idea.

64

:

Nope.

65

:

I don't wanna do that.

66

:

I'm glad you thought of that idea.

67

:

Nope.

68

:

I don't agree with everything

that you just said on that one.

69

:

Not at all.

70

:

Yeah.

71

:

Hey, did you guys see

our new podcast graphic?

72

:

We have a new graphic.

73

:

I like it, man.

74

:

Yeah, I just, I'm looking at it and

I'm just thinking this is attractive.

75

:

Yeah.

76

:

I feel like our podcast is

better now that we have that.

77

:

And you guys are gonna

be surprised by this.

78

:

The last graphic we were

using was AI generating what?

79

:

I know.

80

:

Totally shocked.

81

:

I know.

82

:

But we think this one,

this was human made.

83

:

Not by us, but we like it.

84

:

I think we're gonna stick with

this one for a little bit.

85

:

It matches all the other

stuff that we're doing.

86

:

It does.

87

:

And they really like that too.

88

:

Yeah.

89

:

Which is great.

90

:

Yeah.

91

:

We have a consistent, brand is that brand.

92

:

Yeah, That's about right.

93

:

Yeah.

94

:

We're blue and white.

95

:

A little bit of Navy thrown in.

96

:

There we're blue David.

97

:

I remember that.

98

:

Yeah.

99

:

Ja.

100

:

And then Blue Man Group.

101

:

Did you ever watch those guys?

102

:

No, I, I know who they are though.

103

:

Yeah.

104

:

Sure.

105

:

Did you go to Vegas to see those guys?

106

:

Every time I go to Vegas I see those

guys, which is all of zero times.

107

:

Yeah.

108

:

No, I haven't.

109

:

When's the last time you've been to Vegas?

110

:

I've driven through Vegas.

111

:

I've never actually stopped in, I think

I stopped outside of Vegas with our

112

:

college group for an in and In-N-Out stop

on a retreat that we went to up to Utah.

113

:

Oh yeah.

114

:

Okay, but that's it.

115

:

So you've never actually

been inside the big city?

116

:

The ci, the city of sin,

just on the highway.

117

:

Oh, okay.

118

:

Yeah.

119

:

I think the last time we went, we didn't

go down the strip for obvious reasons,

120

:

but I was there with my family and we

went to the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop,

121

:

which is Oh yeah, the pawn Shop people.

122

:

The Pawn Stars guys.

123

:

Yeah.

124

:

And they weren't there.

125

:

I guess they never are there anymore.

126

:

Or if they are there, they're in

their actual stage where they have

127

:

remade the pawn shop and they.

128

:

They make it look like it's the

front of house, but it's behind in

129

:

an actual stage where interesting.

130

:

There's fake walls and things like

that, so it's cool, yeah, I did see it.

131

:

It was fun.

132

:

We enjoyed that and then we saw that

tall, I don't know, is it a hotel?

133

:

It must be a hotel, and there's people

that bungee jump off of the top of it.

134

:

Oh yeah.

135

:

Whatever that is.

136

:

That was cool.

137

:

There's a lot of things about

Las Vegas that are really

138

:

cool and interesting to me.

139

:

Like that new sphere venue.

140

:

Yeah.

141

:

Where I guess they've set it up so

that every seat that you're inside.

142

:

Every seat that you are inside,

that building is dialed in where the

143

:

sound is immersive and spectacular.

144

:

I guess that's a mixture

of analogies there.

145

:

'cause spectacular refers to

eyes, but even that, speaking of

146

:

spectacular, it looks like you're

inside a spaceship or whatever else.

147

:

They can make it feel like you're

inside a thing because of the

148

:

way the screen is designed.

149

:

So I'd love to see that.

150

:

But exactly what you're saying.

151

:

I don't wanna get anywhere near it.

152

:

Yeah.

153

:

At the same time, for so many reasons,

and I think we all know why, but

154

:

there are some cool things there.

155

:

The, I saw an Instagram reel of under

I guess there's like a, I don't,

156

:

it's not even a roller coaster,

but it looks like a roller coaster.

157

:

It's on top of one of those buildings.

158

:

Yeah.

159

:

And it just goes down a slant.

160

:

Yes.

161

:

And it stops with you

hanging off the building.

162

:

Over the building.

163

:

Yes.

164

:

And there's no more track.

165

:

Who is that?

166

:

Who would do that?

167

:

N never.

168

:

Not?

169

:

No, not out.

170

:

I'm out.

171

:

I'm out on that.

172

:

So when I was saying staff

events, the first event we do

173

:

improvisational comedy class.

174

:

Okay.

175

:

Second thing we do roller coaster

over the top of a building.

176

:

No, you and I ride the front seats.

177

:

No.

178

:

Not in it.

179

:

No.

180

:

Yeah, granted, I'm sure they have to test

every nut and bolt and everything on that.

181

:

Dude, our church would be set for life.

182

:

We would die.

183

:

The church would get all this

money from our death, I think.

184

:

Is that, do we have life insurance?

185

:

We should make sure we do.

186

:

I don't know that we would

be able to get a facility.

187

:

Pastor Mark would be

a designated survivor.

188

:

He's got Louis.

189

:

You've got Allie and Kelly

to hold the ship down.

190

:

I think we might want to roll the dice.

191

:

I pun intended men.

192

:

I don't know that I really wanna, yeah.

193

:

Yeah.

194

:

Okay.

195

:

I think I'll pass, but who knows

If we get the life insurance policy

196

:

before we go, that could work out.

197

:

Man.

198

:

I just don't have that

much thrill seeking in me.

199

:

I don't, it wouldn't be for you.

200

:

You could even choose not to be thrilled.

201

:

Okay.

202

:

We would let the church benefit if

anything went awry, is all I'm saying.

203

:

I don't even know if I would be

willing to do it blindfolded.

204

:

If somebody who was like, I'm gonna.

205

:

Put a black bag over your head and

take you up there and strap you into

206

:

this thing and you're gonna ride it

and have no idea what it looks like or

207

:

anything else, or when it's gonna go.

208

:

Yeah.

209

:

I still don't think I would wanna do that.

210

:

Yeah.

211

:

It's not a, I'm not afraid of heights.

212

:

I'm afraid of falling.

213

:

Yeah.

214

:

Yeah.

215

:

From a roller coaster, that

breaks and plummets and it

216

:

does happen every now and then.

217

:

And listen, and if it happened right,

amidst the tragedy, everybody else in the

218

:

world would be thinking to themselves.

219

:

What did you think was going to happen?

220

:

Like at what point did you think

that this was not going to be the

221

:

actual outcome of what takes place?

222

:

It's more of a miracle.

223

:

That thing that the thing stops

every time than it is that it's

224

:

not plummeting off the tracks.

225

:

Maybe that's more shocking to

me than, but see, that's the

226

:

exception and not the rule.

227

:

That's what makes it newsworthy

is that it's exceptional.

228

:

And if it bleeds, it

leads as the same goes.

229

:

Yeah.

230

:

So it's unusual and that's why

it's it's unusual fun to do it.

231

:

Yeah.

232

:

Not that I wanna do it either.

233

:

Yeah.

234

:

But if it does get the

church a building, no.

235

:

Yeah.

236

:

Still no.

237

:

Okay.

238

:

Yeah.

239

:

Hey, let's, speaking of something

that's fun and more fun, let's jump

240

:

into Ezekiel talking about buildings

40 through 42, talking about buildings.

241

:

Well, 40 through 48.

242

:

So we're rounding the last

three days in Ezekiel.

243

:

Yes.

244

:

You're making it.

245

:

Good job.

246

:

You didn't give up.

247

:

Hopefully.

248

:

Hopefully not.

249

:

Hopefully can give up.

250

:

Yeah.

251

:

But these last three days

are gonna be somewhat gnarly.

252

:

Yeah.

253

:

They can be.

254

:

They can be.

255

:

It's gonna feel like you're on a

rollercoaster on the top of a building.

256

:

Let's see.

257

:

And it stops.

258

:

Over the building, really

specific illustration.

259

:

Yeah, so chapter 40 opens 5 73 BC

5 73, 5 72, somewhere around there.

260

:

And the profit is gonna be

taken back to Jerusalem.

261

:

And again, this is most likely

in a vision maybe literally, but.

262

:

I think probably in visions.

263

:

It says in verse two, in visions of God,

he brought me to the land of Israel,

264

:

set me down on a very high mountain.

265

:

The question is, could that

vision of God have literally

266

:

transported him to Jerusalem?

267

:

I think it's just a vision.

268

:

Pastor, do you wanna

weigh in on that at all?

269

:

That's my answer.

270

:

Okay, awesome.

271

:

Anyways there's a man that shows up here.

272

:

He greets Ezekiel and instructs him

to pay attention in order to relay

273

:

everything to the exiles when he returns.

274

:

I call him bronzy.

275

:

Bronzy.

276

:

Okay.

277

:

It.

278

:

Some suggest this might be the angel

of the Lord, in which case that

279

:

would be the pre-incarnate Christ.

280

:

But we don't know.

281

:

So broy it is.

282

:

Okay.

283

:

Fair.

284

:

Fair enough.

285

:

He's given a, or the angel

rather, has a reed with him.

286

:

And this reed is about it's about

10 and a half feet because this

287

:

is a long cubit as it's defined in

the text, which is a qubit plus.

288

:

A hand breadth.

289

:

So a normal qubit's about

18 inches, a hand breadth.

290

:

We're adding roughly three inches to that.

291

:

And so we're looking at about 21

inches on this, and that's how we

292

:

get to the number about 10 and a

half feet in the length of this reed.

293

:

And he's going out to measure the

walls and he's measuring the walls

294

:

that are surrounding now a temple.

295

:

And so we have to ask ourselves

which temple because this is

296

:

clearly first, not the Davidic

temple or not the Solomonic temple.

297

:

Because that's gone, that was

destroyed already back in 5

298

:

86 BC under Nebuchadnezzar.

299

:

So then the temples that are

left for us to consider might

300

:

be one of three options here.

301

:

Could this a be the temple that's

gonna be rebuilt under Zabell?

302

:

And I would say there again,

the answer is gonna be no.

303

:

Because why?

304

:

Because this temple as we'll find

out, not in today's reading, but I

305

:

think tomorrow's reading is gonna

be in dwelt by the glory of God.

306

:

And the second temple is never in

dwelt by the glory of God never.

307

:

Sends his glory back there the way

he did with the first temple and

308

:

the way he does with this temple.

309

:

So it's not that one.

310

:

So it's not the Postex exilic

temple, in other words.

311

:

So then we have to come to option

number three, which maybe this is

312

:

talking about the eternal state.

313

:

It can't be that either, because

Revelation tells us there is no temple

314

:

during the eternal state because the Lord.

315

:

God is there.

316

:

The lamb is there.

317

:

So there's no temple in the eternal state.

318

:

So that only leaves

the millennial kingdom.

319

:

And so this seems to be that this

is a vision that Ezekiel has of the

320

:

temple that's going to exist during the

millennial kingdom here in Jerusalem.

321

:

And the, these are the descriptions,

the lengths the size and everything else

322

:

that he's receiving about that temple.

323

:

So this is one of those sections of

scripture where there's a lot of debate

324

:

and the heat, I think in this time.

325

:

It corresponds with light.

326

:

That is some of the things that people say

are actually quite helpful and insightful.

327

:

So maybe let's try to deal with a few

of them that you might hear if you were

328

:

to do a little bit of digging here.

329

:

And one of the things that you're gonna

hear is that this is an idealized.

330

:

Image.

331

:

It's a symbol that's meant to convey

more than just, Hey, build the temple.

332

:

So is that what's happening here?

333

:

Is this just symbolic?

334

:

Is this something for Israel to be

encouraged by God that he hasn't given up

335

:

on them, that he's got a future for them?

336

:

No and I think the specificity

of this is extreme length.

337

:

That God would be going to if he was

really just trying to convey the moral

338

:

of, Hey, I've, there's a future for you.

339

:

I haven't given up on you.

340

:

The measurements, the lengths, the

description, the detail, everything

341

:

else, even the instructions to Ezekiel

to say, Hey, I want you to remember

342

:

these things and take them back with

you to, to record these things because

343

:

you're gonna need this in the future.

344

:

There's a purpose beyond that.

345

:

So for me, I think, I

look at the specificity.

346

:

I look at the fact that there's mentions

about offerings and sacrifices that

347

:

are gonna be taking place here too.

348

:

We're just dealing with a lot of detail.

349

:

If this is just simply an

encouraging message to Israel,

350

:

that's a helpful response.

351

:

Some people say if Ezekiel

was intending to have.

352

:

The people do something about this.

353

:

A God doesn't say so.

354

:

He doesn't tell them to build it.

355

:

And two, to your point, the second

temple, people who built the

356

:

temple didn't do anything with it.

357

:

They didn't see it as being

necessary to say, Hey, we ought

358

:

to consider Ezekiel's temple.

359

:

What gives?

360

:

Yeah.

361

:

And that's a stronger argument for sure.

362

:

I think this is.

363

:

Whether the rest of the context of what

Ezekiel has been talking about, he knew

364

:

that this was gonna be a millennial

kingdom situation here rather than this

365

:

is something for immediate implication

in application when it comes back.

366

:

There seems to be an awareness

because even the next temple that's

367

:

built doesn't look like this.

368

:

And so the temple under his rub belt,

they're not trying to build this temple.

369

:

So there's something

about this temple that.

370

:

Is set apart to say, Hey, this is

gonna be something in the future.

371

:

It's not for right now.

372

:

And the fact that God is silent about

it, that he doesn't tell Ezekiel to

373

:

tell them, Hey, by the way, build this

temple right at this particular time.

374

:

I don't think that, that's

an argument from silence.

375

:

It's a good argument.

376

:

I just wanna say, wouldn't have.

377

:

God said this, but I think the fact

that it's here tells me that there's

378

:

something beyond just, Hey I'm gonna

paint you a picture and I want you just

379

:

to be encouraged by the picture and to

your point, because there's so many,

380

:

we have eight chapters of this Yes.

381

:

Of what it means, what it's doing.

382

:

Now, granted, we do have some interesting

symbols that we're gonna get to, and.

383

:

Tomorrow or the day after is reading where

you got water coming out of the temple.

384

:

It's draining into the dead

sea, it's giving it life.

385

:

And now you have this image

that takes on a grander view.

386

:

So there are people that do

believe that this is symbolic.

387

:

It's not meant to be.

388

:

Actually literally erected.

389

:

We would disagree and say it looks

based on what we see here, that

390

:

there's a lot of symbols here that

probably have a literal bearing.

391

:

They're symbolic, yes.

392

:

But in the same way that

you can have a symbolic.

393

:

Your wedding ring is a symbol

of your love for your spouse,

394

:

but it's also a literal ring.

395

:

It's a literal ring that you literally

put on, but it's also symbolic.

396

:

You can have something that's literal

and symbolic at the same time, and I

397

:

think this might fit into that category.

398

:

And one final note, maybe people

are asking the question if this is

399

:

happening during the millennial kingdom.

400

:

We've talked about this before, but

let's talk about it one more time.

401

:

Why are there sacrifices taking

place when Jesus has been

402

:

sacrificed once and for all?

403

:

The book of Hebrew says, yeah, this,

the millennial kingdom is gonna

404

:

be such a unique time for Israel.

405

:

When you think about it, this is

them coming to the realization

406

:

that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

407

:

And even when you think about the Book

of Zechariah and the ending of the

408

:

Book of Zechariah, which again I've

appealed to multiple times before,

409

:

but I think it's so clear there.

410

:

They're gonna look on him whom

they have pierced, and they're

411

:

gonna mourn and they're gonna rep.

412

:

I think the sacrificial system, it's gonna

be their chance to finally realize, oh,

413

:

this is what this was for the whole time.

414

:

So I think God is bringing it back in

the millennial kingdom to drive home

415

:

that point to the people of Israel.

416

:

Hey, now you understand now you

can appreciate this with an even

417

:

greater fullness because now you

understand what this was all about.

418

:

It's pointing to the one

who now sits on the throne.

419

:

Jesus the Messiah, the king.

420

:

And that's what all this is there for.

421

:

Thank you.

422

:

We have answered all the questions.

423

:

All the questions.

424

:

Alright.

425

:

Hey, a couple more things.

426

:

Chapter 41, we get a lot

more measurements here.

427

:

Verse four, notice the most holy place.

428

:

So there is gonna be a

holy of holies there.

429

:

That's fascinating to me.

430

:

And even I think that speaks to, the, our

Trinitarian understanding of God, because

431

:

you're gonna have Jesus the Messiah who's

gonna be there literally in bodily form.

432

:

He's gonna be reigning in Jerusalem, but

you're also gonna have the Holy of Holies.

433

:

And that's where the glory of

God, as we're gonna read, is gonna

434

:

take up residence in the temple.

435

:

So there you have the glory of God and you

have Jesus in the same situation there.

436

:

And so what do we do with that?

437

:

We have to point to that and say,

okay, this is a Trinitarian depiction

438

:

of who God is, that you're gonna

be able to have God in incarnate.

439

:

The second member of the Trinity.

440

:

And you're also gonna have God the

Father, who I believe is gonna be

441

:

the one that is represented by the

glory of God that's dwelling there.

442

:

But this holy of holy is

it 35 feet by 35 feet?

443

:

This is a large space there.

444

:

The temple itself, verse 13

is gonna be 175 feet long.

445

:

So that's 30.

446

:

No that's almost 60 yards long.

447

:

That's a massive building.

448

:

It's bigger than any of the

temples that were built.

449

:

Yeah.

450

:

Even Herod's Temple.

451

:

I believe that the temple

here, that Ezekiel idea.

452

:

Identifies.

453

:

Yeah.

454

:

The Temple Mount could fit into

the core of the Gentiles as, as we

455

:

understand it here, if I remember it.

456

:

My math is right.

457

:

But yeah, this is a huge,

this is a huge building.

458

:

Yeah.

459

:

This is not small.

460

:

This is meant to be understood as massive.

461

:

'cause It is.

462

:

Yeah, it is.

463

:

It is for sure.

464

:

For sure.

465

:

In chapter 42, we're dealing with the

chambers where the offerings, as you

466

:

were talking about, are gonna be kept and

where the priests are gonna eat the food

467

:

that's gonna be offered on the altar.

468

:

And so it's not just that the offerings

are back, but it seems like some

469

:

of the Old Testament law is back.

470

:

We talked about two days ago.

471

:

The old covenant, right?

472

:

There's gonna be some regulations and

rules for where the priests are allowed

473

:

to eat the food, where they're not allowed

to eat the food, and that is gonna be

474

:

something that, that they're going to

do again, I think in full realization

475

:

of what it meant and why they were

supposed to do that in the first place.

476

:

But the other thing too to remember

is the millennial kingdom is not

477

:

gonna be all populated by people

that are followers of Jesus.

478

:

They're gonna be those that

are there that are not.

479

:

So this is gonna be a.

480

:

As well, another opportunity

for God's people to be

481

:

distinct, called out, separate.

482

:

And they're gonna understand that

even through how the priests conduct

483

:

themselves here in the millennial

kingdom or the millennial temple here,

484

:

the entire complex we see there in,

in 42 20 is about 300 by 300 yards.

485

:

So that's massive.

486

:

Yeah.

487

:

As we were just talking, three football

fields by three football fields.

488

:

That's huge.

489

:

That is an enormous space.

490

:

Yes.

491

:

Anyways, anything else

on, on 40 through 42 here?

492

:

Don't lose heart.

493

:

No I guess I, yes, I do have a question.

494

:

Yeah.

495

:

And maybe we can kick this around.

496

:

Okay.

497

:

There's a lot of ink

spilled on some of these.

498

:

There's, these are things that I struggle

to read because A, we're still talking

499

:

qubits and you know how I feel about that.

500

:

Yep.

501

:

Just give me what it is in feet.

502

:

That would be really helpful and

thank you NLT for doing that.

503

:

Why would God have us to

know and to understand?

504

:

Some things that really don't seem to be

all that significant for us as Gentiles,

505

:

and I speak for you guys, not myself.

506

:

Why would this be necessary?

507

:

What role does this play for

our faith and for our day-to-day

508

:

practice of the Christian faith?

509

:

I would say it's not just for us as

Gentiles, I think it's for Israel too.

510

:

And so when you think about that, this

means, this is hugely significant to them.

511

:

And the temple was the very

center of their relationship

512

:

with Yahweh in the Old Testament.

513

:

And so for the Israelites, they're gonna

read this and say, man, this is huge.

514

:

This is, this matters a ton.

515

:

Because right now in, in Israel,

currently they have the utensils

516

:

and a lot of the interior.

517

:

Furniture of the temple ready.

518

:

There's the Temple Institute in

Israel and they're ready for this.

519

:

They're waiting for this.

520

:

So this is enormous in their

understanding of what is coming.

521

:

They're ready to build the millennial

temple as seen here in Ezekiel.

522

:

And so it's not just for the

church, it's also for them.

523

:

And even it, maybe that's what is for

the church, is the reminder that there's

524

:

something more than that's going on here.

525

:

And we've talked about it before.

526

:

It's not that God loves

Israel more than he loves us.

527

:

I, again, I'd rather be.

528

:

With him as the church, then one of

the Jews in the millennial kingdom.

529

:

I think we have a unique privilege.

530

:

We have the wedding supper, the lamb.

531

:

We have all those things that,

that God has shown his love for us.

532

:

But I think this is a good reminder that

God cares about his people Israel too.

533

:

And this is.

534

:

Really important for them.

535

:

In the New Testament, scripture

calls us as the people of God,

536

:

the temple of the living God.

537

:

We are now the temple.

538

:

This is one of the reasons why

today we don't have a temple.

539

:

We don't go to an edifice

to sacrifice a lamb.

540

:

The lamb of God has been

slaying on our behalf.

541

:

He calls us his temple.

542

:

Does that change in the millennial

kingdom or is there a disruption

543

:

in that understanding such that

a temple, a physical temple,

544

:

would make a lot more sense?

545

:

Or is it meant to be?

546

:

Both.

547

:

And we are still the temple of

God as God's people who are saved.

548

:

And you also have a physical temple

where his manifest glory dwells.

549

:

Am I making sense?

550

:

Yes.

551

:

Yeah.

552

:

Help me out with that.

553

:

Yeah I think we are, during

this dispensation, we are being

554

:

built into the holy temple.

555

:

As Paul says, we are

building blocks for that.

556

:

I think Peter is even gonna

pick on up on that as well.

557

:

That's during this dispensation,

during the church age.

558

:

Once the church has taken off

the scene that metaphor that.

559

:

That understanding of God's 'cause.

560

:

'cause this is where the glory

of God resides right now.

561

:

The glory of God resides within the

church, through the indwelling of us

562

:

as believers with the Holy Spirit.

563

:

In the millennial kingdom, we're

entering into a new stage, a new phase.

564

:

And with that, the idea

of the church being the.

565

:

The place where God's glory dwells is

no longer the case we are with Christ.

566

:

And again, there's so much mystery

there about what it's gonna mean

567

:

for us as the church to be reigning

with Christ during that time.

568

:

But we do know that we're

in our glorified bodies.

569

:

We're not in our fallen state anymore.

570

:

We have access to the very presence of

God because we're no longer sinners.

571

:

Those that are in the millennial

kingdom are still gonna be sinners.

572

:

So they still need a

conduit between them and.

573

:

The glory of God.

574

:

They still need a way to, to come

before God and worship God and

575

:

bring their sacrifice and offerings.

576

:

And during the millennial kingdom

dispensation it, it seems that God is

577

:

reinstituting the temple as the means

by which that is gonna take place with

578

:

Jesus being present as the one that is

gonna be so clearly the fulfillment of

579

:

all the things that they're doing there.

580

:

This is interesting.

581

:

Okay.

582

:

Is there a difference?

583

:

And you seem to suggest it, so I'm

gonna see if I can tease it out a bit.

584

:

Right now the spirit of God.

585

:

Yes.

586

:

Third member of the Trinity

dwells in or with us.

587

:

Yes.

588

:

He's regenerated us.

589

:

He's made us brand new.

590

:

We were born again.

591

:

Does that relationship

with the spirit change?

592

:

When we're translated into glory with God.

593

:

So when we're resurrected and we're now

taken to rule and reign with Christ,

594

:

does the Spirit no longer reside in and

with us as he does now because we're

595

:

glorified and no longer, and I'm using air

quotes here, need him there or does it?

596

:

In some way amplify and

become bigger and larger.

597

:

How does that work?

598

:

Or do you have a thought about that?

599

:

It's interesting because when Jesus is

talking about what the Spirit is there

600

:

to do in John 14, it seems like a lot of

that has to do with our earthly existence,

601

:

with our existence in un glorified

bodies, with our need for his conviction

602

:

and teaching and leading and recalling

the things that Christ has taught us.

603

:

The ministry of the Spirit in

the lives of Christians, even the

604

:

sealing ministry of the Spirit In

Ephesians chapter one, we're sealed.

605

:

For, until we acquire the inheritance

that is ours, that's coming, even as

606

:

Peter talks about, that, that future

inheritance, that's gonna be ours as well.

607

:

And so once we're there, we don't

need to be sealed anymore with the

608

:

Holy Spirit to be kept in that place.

609

:

And so I.

610

:

Can I say the Holy Spirit no

longer dwells us in eternity?

611

:

I don't know that I can go that

far, but I think when we look at the

612

:

ministries of the spirit, primarily

speaking, I think they're dealing

613

:

with us in our un glorified state

and not in our glorified state.

614

:

That's fascinating.

615

:

So Jesus says, I'll

give you another helper.

616

:

He'll be with you forever.

617

:

There's, we're not saying that you

couldn't have some kind of vital

618

:

relationship with the Spirit, but maybe.

619

:

Maybe it changes right in heaven

because you're glorified and things are

620

:

different and different dispensation.

621

:

Those are interesting questions.

622

:

Yeah, they're, I'm glad we definitively

answered them for everybody.

623

:

Good job.

624

:

That's been the theme of

these last three episodes.

625

:

We've given so many definitive answers.

626

:

Nailed it.

627

:

Yeah.

628

:

Let's pray.

629

:

God we pray that this would come quickly.

630

:

We are ready to be with you.

631

:

We're ready to be in your presence.

632

:

And yet I pray that I know there's a

lot of us thinking, and yet we want this

633

:

person to be saved and this person to

be saved and this person to be saved.

634

:

And we do.

635

:

And those are not desires that are

incompatible with each other, so we pray.

636

:

God that you would save our lost

loved ones and our family members and

637

:

those that are in our lives that have

not bowed the need to Christ yet.

638

:

And yet at the same time, we also

pray and hasten your arrival, Lord.

639

:

'cause we want to be with you.

640

:

We want some of these questions answered.

641

:

We want to be in your presence.

642

:

We want to know.

643

:

What it is to be free, not only

from the penalty of sin and the

644

:

power of sin, but also ultimately

from its presence to be with you.

645

:

And God we pray and ask ha in that day

'cause we can't wait to be with you.

646

:

We pray this in Jesus' name.

647

:

Amen.
